DemonCrawl's Halloween Event is Live!

Hi folks,

DemonCrawl's second annual Halloween event has arrived!

In case you missed last year's festivities, you can earn all of the same perks and rewards this time around - as well as a bunch of new content showcased below.

This event will run through October 31st. Watch out for Spookers!

v1.79 Patch Notes

Hi folks,

We just deployed a large content patch for DemonCrawl!

This update includes over 20 new items, a monster drop table overhaul, a rework for the Wizard mastery, and various balance changes.

Among these new items are two sets of armor - Lightstone and Police armor. Check out the Lightstone set below:



We are also hard at work on an even larger patch, which is why we haven't been very active on social media lately. We can't say much about it yet, but we think it will be 100% worth the wait!

  • New patreon rewards: Strange Denizens II
  • Every monster now has an expanded item drop table
  • New legendary item: Badge of Infamy - "Whenever a monster dies or flees, reduce the monster count of all other stages."
  • New legendary item: Giga Mana Potion - "When you gain this item, fully charge and duplicast your magic items. When you lose this item, deplete your mana."
  • New magic item: Flashlight - "[120 Mana] Reveal target cell and cause its monster to flee, then remove Dark mod from the current stage."
  • New magic item: Magic Minion - "[100 Mana] Use Minion. If you're about to take damage, this item will automatically discharge to deflect 1 damage."
  • New magic item: Stopwatch - "[150 Mana] Pass a number of turns equal to the number of counters on your most recent status effect."
  • New magic item: Library Card - "[300 Mana] Visit a Library from the overworld. Libraries will have an additional research subject."
  • New passive item: Beacon - "Whenever a monster is revealed by an effect, it has a 50% chance to flee."
  • New passive item: Handcuffs - "When you leave a stage, bubble your familiars. When a monster tries to flee, it becomes your familiar instead."
  • New passive item: Wolf Pelt - "Whenever you gain an item, a random visible monster flees."
  • New passive item: Scorpion Tail - "Kill all visible living objects at the end of each stage, applying Toxic to their cells."
  • New passive item: Deciphering Rune - "Whenever you target a visible cell with an item, solve a number of random cells equal to the value of the target."
  • New passive item: Dog Tag - "When you enter a stage, gain souls equal to your number of Minions. If you don't have any, gain a Minion instead."
  • New consumable item: Golden Rose - "Take 1 damage and gain 10 coins."
  • New consumable item: Monster Spray - "For 100 turns, monsters have a chance to flee instead of attacking. The chance is equal to the number of turns left on this effect."
  • New armor: Lightstone Helmet - "When equipped, reveal target column. Fortify whenever a monster is revealed by an effect."
  • New armor: Lightstone Chestplate - "Fortify by 2 whenever a monster is revealed by an effect."
  • New armor: Lightstone Boots - "Every 10 turns, reveal all cells around the cell you open."
  • New armor: Police Hat - "Fortify whenever a monster flees. When equipped, all visible monsters flee."
  • New armor: Police Vest - "Fortify by 2 whenever a monster flees. After taking monster damage, all nearby visible monsters flee."
  • New armor: Police Boots - "Visible monsters near the cells you open will flee."

  • Wizard III rework: "Transform your cheapest magic item into one that's worth more, up to twice the item's original value."
  • Banker I buff: "Begin the quest with 15 extra coins."
  • Barbarian III buff: charge cost reduced from 4 to 3
  • Demolitionist III buff: charge cost reduced from 4 to 3
  • Mantis buff: "When you enter a stage, gain 2 souls for every stage mod."
  • Trust Buster price decreased from 41 to 37 coins
  • Elixir price decreased from 22 to 20 coins
  • Fairy price decreased from 18 to 12
  • War Paint price increased from 12 to 13 coins
  • Iron Sceptre price increased from 13 to 16 coins

v1.78 Patch Notes

Hi folks,

We just released a new patch for DemonCrawl that contains a number of improvements for the Arena gamemode!

These improvements include 3 new homelands, 3 arena mods, new emotes/sign parts and various balance changes. Also, we are in the process of fine-tuning the autosweeper code to help it deal with certain boards more intelligently (e.g. it will try to avoid clicking burning cells when possible.) You can expect a follow-up patch sometime next week!

v1.77d Patch Notes

Hi folks,

We have released one final stability patch for v1.77! This update addresses several bugs related to the Arena party system, as well as some longstanding issues in the base game.

Over the next few days, we are going to take a closer look at Arena balance and server stability. We hope to have v1.78 ready by about Wednesday of next week.
