Legendary Patch - v1.0.2



For the last two weeks, we've been reading reviews, watching Twitch streams, and YouTube videos nonstop, slowly going crazy! So the patch turned out to be pretty big and nice. Worth it. Send more feedback and bug reports! We love the smell of feedback in the morning.

[h3]Patch Highlight - 15 new Legendary Cats[/h3]



Cat you meet them all?

  • Lumber Mill work speed upgrade research cost reduced from 500 to 200
  • X-switcher research cost reduced from 200 to 150
  • Reverse Splitter research cost reduced from 300 to 200
  • Chance of perks with "Can Use Data X" reduced
  • Perks with "Can Use Data X" now give 10% quality of 10% experience
  • Campaign map improved
  • Some Trading deals buffed
  • A lot of new visual features for customer cats
  • Advertising Cat Gates now by default summon cats ONLY with 1 item type, it can be changed in the UI. So they are easier to use
  • Many Legendary Cats have more money
  • Campaign and Freeplay maps generation is improved
  • Removing Fertilized plant now refunds a Fertilizer
  • New Upgrade for Trade Relay - Increased trading speed
  • Shopaholic invasion also doubles the chance of Upsale Requests
  • Distribution of new requests is slightly rebalanced at the start of the game
  • Worker Cats now can request Milk as an Upsale Request
  • Increased multiplier to money dedicated to upsale requests from Hype and Loyalty
  • Some Milestones are slightly harder to unlock (because unlocking them too early causes too many new requests)
  • Concrete recipe with Juice changed. It now requires 4 Juice instead of Juice+

Q: Please add a filter for Manipulators to take only certain goods out of storage
A: There is one! It is called Selective Manipulator, it is an upgrade for Selective Item Splitter

Q:zeppelin disappear after placing game234 A:Looks like you changed Zeppelins View mode. We improved this behavior, so now you will see zeppelins on the ground even when they are hidden

Q:My dudes, I have no idea how the trade relays are meant to work even after the tutorial. The cat pun guide wants iron in exchange for fertilizer. I put iron in, the counter ticks down, my iron is gone but I have no fertilizer Darkrenown A:Fertilizer counts as a building, so it is added directly to your buildings panel. We clarified it in the tutorial in this patch

Q:I see graphical artifacts in Learning Factory and While Ture Learn on Linux Darkrenown A:It looks like new Linux+Unity problem started recently. We can't reproduce it sadly. In this patch we are updating the engine, so hope it will be fixed. In the next month, we will migrate to the new LTS version, so I hope the problem will be gone.

Grand Re-Re-Opening - Major Update, v1.0.194



Hey, engineers!

So, here we are. The great release, v1.0! We won't bother you with flowery words (scroll below for that). Instead, let's get right to the new content because, naturally, we have some goodies for you in this very important update!

But first, here's a little summary of what will be happening these days:
  • The game will have an extended launch discount for 2 weeks. After that, we will raise the game's base price, so it's probably the best time to buy Learning Factory
  • The price for soundtrack will also go up, because it has been enriched with a whole new selection of tracks, composed by Broadcast of Variants collective
  • In a matter of days (or maybe even hours!) we will release a new DLC with a collection of printable posters, for our biggest supporters. We'll let you know once it's out there
  • If you haven't seen it already, check out our big screenshot retrospective - the game has changed a lot
  • We have also created a new art for the game to celebrate this glorious day!

Q: Allow further zoom out -xxxxyyyzzzz A: You can increase the limit for zooming out in the Settings.

Q: It would be nice to add the option to reset my position. Thank you -caucau.caucau A: There's a dedicated button next to the mini map, that teleports you right back to the Monument.

Q: I find the hybrid layer mode very hard to read at a glance, especially when there are a lot of things on screen. The colored squares might be fine for conveying generic landscape features, but they aren't very helpful for things like belts or splitters. Perhaps showing them as tinted ghosts of some sort would be clearer? -Sunsphere11 A: Good point, and we have it planned for the future. It's a complex task to accomplish, especially when it comes to performance optimization. We hope to get back to it one day.
