Fallout 76 Maintenance Announcement - March 18, 2025

On Tuesday, March 18 at 10am ET/9am CT, Fallout 76 is being brought offline on all platforms to apply the Ghoul Within update.

For server status updates, keep an eye on our Bethesda.net Status Portal.

Season 20: Glow of the Ghoul

Let’s ghoulify Appalachia.

Season 20: Glow of the Ghoul starts March 18, timed perfectly to arrive with Ghoul Within, Fallout’s next major update, which is bringing all the Vault-dweller ghouls to the Wasteland.

Glow of the Ghoul is all about the Ghouls. This theme is for the mutated, the irradiated, the glowing and the feral of the wasteland. Even if you’re not going the way of the ghoul, be sure to decorate your C.A.M.P. in the most radiation-ridden and dilapidated way to make all your ghoulfriends feel at home. Toxic waste looks good in any C.A.M.P.

We've got the trailer for the upcoming season below:

The Science of Love Challenge Event

Some people believe love is an art, but it’s actually a science.

Love is an uncomplicated emotion that is always predictable and quantifiable. And yet, somehow, blinding. This February, learn everything there is to know about that famous chemical reaction called love.

The Science of Love is a new Seasonal Challenge Event that begins on February 4 at 12PM ET and runs until February 18 at 12PM ET. Over the two weeks that The Science of Love is active, you’ll complete Challenges to earn S.C.O.R.E. and some handy consumables like Lunchboxes, Perk Card Packs and Basic Repair Kits. Because you, Wastelander, are studying to be a Doctor of Love, you must wear the Head Mirror Headwear while you are completing challenges—you can pick that up in the Atomic Shop for free.

Each week, you’ll be collecting your instruments, preparing your materials and killing a bunch of Ghouls, Super Mutants and Robots. Complete the Daily Challenges from the first week and you’ll earn the fuchsia Dopamine Wallpaper that features the molecular structure of Dopamine, which is exactly one half of the formula for love. If you look at the reward for the second week of Challenges, the Study of Love Chalkboard, you’ll find the completed formula for love.

After two weeks, you’ll know so much about love (Oxytocin + Dopamine), that you’ll earn the Pink Heart Light, so you can shine a spotlight on your heart’s desire in your C.A.M.P.

Study the following formula to complete the event and earn your Pink Heart Light:

Formula: The Science of Love
  • In week one, complete 5 of 7 Daily Challenges wearing the Head Mirror Headwear to earn consumables. (This will complete the Weekly Challenge.)
  • Earn the Dopamine Wallpaper!
  • In week two, repeat Step 1.
  • Earn the Study of Love Chalkboard!
  • Successfully complete both Weekly Challenges and you’ll have completed the event, The Science of Love!

The reward for all your hard work? The Pink Heart Light!
