Next update drops tomorrow!

Heroes!

As we teased in the last weeks we will have a big update dropping tomorrow.
It will feature Relic & Charms, the new Forge mastery, multiplayer included in the main build and German localization.
We didnt really talk much about localizations, but we have German ready and are currently working on French and Chinese.

More information on the new Forge mastery, can be found here.

More information on relics and charms can be found here.

In the coming weeks we will also tease the first big update of 2026, so stay tuned!

Introducing Relics and Charms

[p]Heroes![/p][p]In our last post we previewed the new Forge Mastery, which you will be able to play very soon.[/p][p]Today we are happy to announce that Charms and Relics will also be included in that update.[/p][p]We know that this has been an often requested feature, so let’s get into it and give you an overview of what it’s about:[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
What are Charms and Relics?
[p][/p][p]Charms and Relics offer a new layer to the itemization in Titan Quest II.[/p][p][/p][p]They are socketable items that can be slotted into your gear for additional effects and almost every item can hold one.[/p][p][/p][p]You can find them as fragments that already have decent effects, but once you combine 3 of the same fragment they unlock a powerful completion effect.[/p][p][/p][p]In the currently released content you can find 20 Charms and 19 Relics, but more will be added in the future.[/p][p][/p]
Charms
[p][/p][p]Charms are small trinkets and objects that are dropped by certain creatures. So for example to get the Boar Hide Charm you would have to hunt Boars, whereas Necrotic Bones can only be dropped from Skeletons.[/p][p][/p][p]Their effects offer you a nice way to round out your character with stats or resistances you might be missing or want to stack up on further.[/p][p][/p][p]If you want to farm them efficiently it’s worth taking note of a high concentration of a certain enemy type and focus your efforts there.[/p][p][/p]
Relics
[p][/p][p]Relics are powerful divine objects that are much rarer then Charms, but also offer stronger effects.[/p][p][/p][p]While they can be found from all enemies, different Relics are more likely to be found in certain parts of the world.[/p][p][/p][p]Their basic effects are stronger than those of Charms, but especially their completion bonuses offer unique effects that are comparable to the unique affixes on epic items.[/p][p][/p][p]Due to this you can only equip a limited amount of them on your character, so choose wisely and make sure to farm the best set for your specific build![/p][p][/p]
How to use Charms and Relics
[p][/p][p]Charms and Relics are stored in a new section of your inventory. This way they don’t clutter your normal inventory space.[/p][p][/p][p]Depending on the individual Charm or Relic you can only equip them in certain parts of your gear. Some go into Weapons, others can be equipped on individual or all Armor pieces and others go into your Rings and Amulets.[/p][p][/p][p]Putting a Charm or Relic onto your gear is easy and you can also take them out whenever you want without losing them or the item. This way you can experiment with them and don’t have to be afraid of socketing your precious Relics to see how they perform with your build.[/p][p][/p]
The Future of Charms and Relics
[p][/p][p]For now both only appear in their basic rarity. In the future we will add higher rarities to them that make their effects much stronger, but these will also be much harder to get and require use of the Ritual System to farm.[/p][p][/p][p]We will also be adding new Charms and Relics whenever we release new content, so expect more cool effects to round out your gear and improve your characters.[/p][p] [/p][p]We are looking forward for your feedback and hope that this addition will spice up the loot hunt and itemization considerably![/p][p][/p][p]The Titan Quest II Team[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Note: Please be aware that the values shown on these screenshots might still change until the update’s release as we are still performing balancing adjustments.[/p]

Introducing a New Mastery: Forge

Heroes,
[p]It’s about time you had some new ways to play the game, right? Soon, you can do just that. We’ve been hard at work to bring you the next mastery, so let’s briefly show you what the upcoming Forge mastery is all about.[/p][p][/p]
The Forge Fantasy
[p]As a Forge user, you will be embodying some of the qualities of the god Hephaestus, particularly when it comes to being a crafty blacksmith and inventor. You will be using your divine powers to manipulate your weapons and armor mid-battle, as well as to deploy armed devices. Expect to be particularly tanky when heavily leaning into Forge, with your damage mostly coming not from your yourself, but your devices.[/p][p]In order to use most Forge abilities, you will need to collect the Divine Core resource from enemies, rather than relying only on Energy. This means that some of your Energy budget is free to be used by your other mastery if you build your character right, greatly encouraging synergetic ability usage. As an example, you may use this to enhance your devices with different damage types triggered by your ability usage.[/p][p][/p]
Be Unbreakable...
[p]Well, mostly anyway. The Forge mastery will offer you passive and active abilities to increase your armor, resistances and health. Between your core stats and your active abilities, enemies will have a difficult time taking you down. But even beyond that, you will be able to make use of retaliation damage, essentially reflecting a fraction of enemy damage.[/p][p]In essence, while your devices deal with enemies, you will be able to just take it like a champ, and have more than enough time to hit enemies with further abilities.[/p][p][/p]
...Or Not
[p]What if you just really want to be a glass cannon, and play into cross-mastery synergies? By adding in devices, you could stay out of trouble, and let these do a lot of the work while you can still unleash your other abilities as normal. No need to focus on the defensive aspects! You could simply pull enemies right into your AoE abilities and devices, without much risk to your own skin.[/p][p][/p]
Showcasing Some Abilities
[p]Below are some quick clips to show you some key Forge abilities. Please note this content is still heavily work in progress at the time of writing.[/p]
 • [p]Blade Trap: a melee turret equipped with blades that spin. It can detonate when destroyed for Fire damage.[/p]
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
 • [p]Infused Blade Trap: Blade Traps can be infused with elemental damages when using matching abilities (lightning in this case).[/p]
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
 • [p]Chains: get over here! Yep.[/p]
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
 • [p]Ironclad: equips a magical armor, significantly strengthening defences, but slowing movement down. Modified with Iron Shards that will strike enemies that hit you.[/p]
[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
More Soon
[p]This was just a very small taste of the mastery. We’ll share more information and raw gameplay in the coming weeks. Please let us know what you think so far in the comments![/p]

Titan Quest II - Early Access Feature Update - Hotfix 1

Titan Quest II - Early Access Feature Update - Hotfix 1 - 0.2.1-public.109709+win.2028

Hi everyone, thanks for all the feedback for our latest Early Access update! We're thrilled to see many custom characters created with our new character creator. Today we're sending you a small hotfix with some smaller bug fixes.

As part of our post-update routine we're always checking our crash reporting database and detected an inscreased number of crashes due to user installed mods, most commonly fan translations. We are obviously super happy that many of you are so invested in the game that you're adding mods and we would like to increase stability eventually, but at the current time we don't have the resources to support modding officially. However, official translations are in the works.

The cause for most of those mod-related crashes are .pak files that are incompatible with the new game build and lead to crashes during game startup. So, if your game fails to launch even though it previously worked fine, please check if you have any outdated mods installed first.

If you still experience any crashes after removing third party mods, please go ahead and report them to us as usual.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed invalid appearance code generation for existing characters, if the character creator wasn't opened at least once before
 • Fixed soft lock in "The Friendly Ichthian" quest by key not dropping
 • Fixed poison resistance affix that was missing on some items since the 0.2.1 update. Saves that were already re-saved since then are unfortunately not recoverable.
 • Replaced 'Show Advanced Tooltip' with 'Inspect' to better convey the current functionality. Future iterations of the tooltips are already planned!
 • Fixed multiple string table entries leading to "MISSING STRING TABLE" text showing up in the UI
 • Fixed "Bandit Cudgel" items using placeholder meshes
 • Fixed multiplayer crashes related to ability casting and replicated map markers

Before Titan Quest 2 gets a permanent price hike, you can grab the rare singleplayer-friendly Diablo-like on sale

It's getting harder to remember a time when the foremost ARPGs weren't labyrinths of seasonal gear sets and live service engagement tactics, but Titan Quest 2 is a nice reminder of yesteryear. It's still in early access, but it's free from the usual gamut of cash shop items and battle passes; and if that sounds good to you, you might want to grab it on sale before its impending price increase this Tuesday, Nov. 11...
