King Arthur: Legion IX FAQ

Knights!

One more day until the end of the Steam Winter Sale - King Arthur: Knight's Tale is currently 50% off! Our next game, King Arthur: Legion IX also has a new store page, you can read a detailed description and wishlist the game there! And if you have already seen it, but you still have some questions, today is the day for answers!
What is King Arthur: Legion IX?
• King Arthur: Legion IX is a new game set in the world established in King Arthur: Knight’s Tale. This brand new campaign will detail how the Legion prepares for an invasion and uncover the remains of a Roman colony. You lead the skilled Roman tribune Gaius Julius Mento and his lost undead legion to conquer the nightmarish land of Avalon!
Is this an expansion or a standalone game?
• King Arthur: Legion IX expands the world of our previous game, King Arthur: Knight's Tale. However, we wanted to welcome more new players to the dark fantasy land of Avalon, so it will be released as a standalone game. This new campaign is a completely separate experience and doesn't connect to the progression of Knight's Tale. It does build upon its location and style of gameplay, however. We hope to reach new players who are interested in the adventures of this unique undead Roman legion.
Does Legion IX require a purchase of Knight’s Tale?
• No. If you only prefer the company of demonic Roman undead legionnaires, you can just get this one safely!
How much will it cost?
• Legion IX will release at $19.99.
Should I play Knight’s Tale before playing Legion IX?
• You’re safe to play Legion IX without having played Knight’s Tale first. It is a completely standalone story with brand new characters. However, returning players will find the story and gameplay more rewarding with previous experience. It's up to you!
Are the system requirements the same as for King Arthur: Knight’s Tale?
• Yes.
When will Legion IX release?
• The Steam version of King Arthur: Legion IX will be released in the first quarter of 2024. A more precise date will be announced soon.
What else do I need to know about the game?
• Check the Steam description for more details. And please return to our threads on this forum in the following weeks, as we’re delving deep into the mechanics and lore of Legion IX!

King Arthur: Legion IX Steam page is now live!
Knights,
Hope you're having a great Christmas season and you can find time for some gaming as well. We have one more good news for 2023! King Arthur: Legion IX's official Steam page is now up and running, so please add it to your Wishlist, show it to your friends and be sure to follow the page as well. We're going to share a lot of cool updates on the project in the coming weeks and the plan is to release the game in early 2024. If you haven't heard about our brand new project yet, you can watch the Announcement trailer here, and read our brief summary below:

 • King Arthur: Legion IX is a turn-based, character-centric tactical RPG in the King Arthur: Knight's Tale universe - a dark fantasy version of the Arthurian myth. King Arthur: Legion IX welcomes new players to the mythical land of Avalon with an all-new story and heroes, also offering tough challenges to returning veterans.
 • A new threat looms over Avalon as the long-lost, infamous Ninth Legion of Rome has set foot on the mythical island. Their commander, the fallen hero, Gaius Julius Mento was granted a demonic legion by their dead emperor, Septimus Sulla to find a way out of Tartarus. But when they accidentally arrive to the magical realm of the Lady of the Lake, Gaius Julius Mento decides to subjugate the island and establish Eternal Rome there. First, however, he must gather his lost legion…
 • Play through a Roman-themed campaign as Gaius Julius Mento, a tribune of the undead Ninth Legion, as he discovers Avalon. Battle the monsters of nightmares, challenge the Pict tribes, the monstrous Fomorians and the cunning Sídhe. Experience the might of the Old Faith and Christianity and face the knights of Sir Mordred's Round Table through 15 handcrafted missions.
 • Find, rebuild and protect the remains of the only Roman colony in Avalon and choose your path to victory. By the end of the campaign you'll have to choose: do you want to become a powerful demon or will you reject the might of Emperor Sulla and restore your humanity?

NeocoreGames in 2023 & Steam Winter Sale!
Gather around
Knights, noble spirits of winter season,

as we sit by the campfire, looking back on this year at our company.

While we have not released a new game in 2023, it was still a very productive and exciting year for our existing games and our future projects.

Our robust tactical RPG called King Arthur: Knight’s Tale was truly transformed in 2023. It took the better part of the year to prepare our massive 2.0 patch that was released with the free Rising Eclipse seasonal update – the game has been overhauled and expanded with new content, including a free skirmish pack!

Our other big announcement was King Arthur: Legion IX, which is a brand-new adventure set in the dark and twisted Avalon... we'll share more details early next year!

There are obviously a bunch of other things that we can’t talk about yet, but we can happily confirm that we, a game development studio, are currently working on video games. Big surprise there. All jokes aside, we look forward to the future with hope and excitement. Our slowly growing, RPG-loving studio is here to stay, determined to learn from your feedback and deliver even better games in the following years.

We already had our company holiday dinner (coincidentally, at a place called "Steam Bistro"), so what's left for us is just to take a few days off, play some games with our loved ones, maybe delve into the Steam Winter Sale - you can find our games there on a deep discount!

This is our last update for 2023, and this is the time for us to wish you a
Joyous Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

See you in 2024!
