DevLog #2 Stealth Mechanics

Hello Sherwood Builders! 🏹

Taking more thoughtful approach can reward you with the control of most encounters and will let you experience Sherwood’s open world in a new way. As a part of the new combat and movement systems, this is now just one way to handle the engagement and react to unexpected events like convoys and tax collectors! Hide in bushes, take the high ground, follow the prey and choose the best moment to strike!

Take advantage of your surroundings and learn the new perception system of your enemies to deliver death-blows or avoid the fight altogether. It’s your decision weather you want to become the king of thieves, a master assassins or a fearsome duelist!

Day & Night cycle and the Weather system

Hello Sherwood Builders! 🏹

We have finally reached the point when we can start sharing what's new about Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders! The work on the full release has been going on for about five months now and we are excited to be giving you some sneak peeks of it. We hope that you will like it and please let us know what you think on our Discord channel or Steam. 🙂

We are introducing the Day & Night cycle and the Weather system to the full release. Not only does it look cool 😉 but it also come along with some new mechanics. In example, as we want to develop the sneaky side of the gameplay, the time of the day will affect enemies' perception, which will let you approach the encounter more strategically. And maybe some of the events will only happen at night? Or in the specific weather? 🤔 Who knows what awaits in dense forests and foggy moors.

We will be trying to keep you posted regularly from now on, showing some of the gameplay mechanics and visual aspects of the game. There is still much work to do, but we believe that the results will be worth waiting for and we would like to thank you for your patience!

Hear you soon! ☺️

See you in the forest!

Traders

Hello Sherwood Builders!

On your path you will meet traders which will help you to refill your supplies.
The first of them you will meet at the beginning on the game on your village.

Traders will be happy to sell you food and basic crafting items, remember to have some coins for them to trade. You can also sell items you don't need anymore for decent price.

Additionally, you will find potions and even a weapon repair kit!
It is always worth checking what a given trader currently has for sale.

See you in the forest!

Crafting

Hello Sherwood Builders!

Robin can create various items thanks to his crafting skills, all he needs is appropriate materials such as: wood, stone etc. Fortunately, all of this can be found in Sherwood.

Each weapon has its own life span and can be damaged, that's why it always good idea to have some materials to make a new one. When crafting, you can immediately choose how many items you want to craft.

Some weapons, such as the bow, require arrows that can be crafted by harvesting wood.
But certain items, such as swords, will need a special crafting station to be made.
