Nine minutes of new Promise Mascot Agency footage!

We’ve just released a massive deep dive video checking out a variety of things in our next game, Promise Mascot Agency! Excited for the game? Like what you see but don’t understand any of it? No idea where you are or what a video game is? All of the above? Our new video is for you!

[previewyoutube]Watch it on YouTube![/previewyoutube]

The backstory of our hero Michi, the process of hiring mascots, the dangers of work and the mystery of a deadly curse are just a few things touched on in the new video. Additionally, eagle-eyed viewers will be able to spot some newly-revealed mascots and characters. Is that a bat with a pickaxe?

As the first (and best) example of an Open World Mascot Management Crime Drama game, we’re sure you have questions about what that actually means. Hopefully today’s video clears up some of that confusion. Not too much, though - Promise Mascot Agency will have plenty of strangeness and mystery to uncover upon release.

Oh, and here’s a word from our game director!

We’re so happy with the response to our announcement and we’ve been itching to show you more. Promise Mascot Agency is a unique game and there is so much to see and do. This video shows you just the tip of the iceberg. There are many more mascots to meet, people to help and FORBIDDEN MYSTERIES to uncover. This game rocks ass.” - Oli Clarke Smith, Game Director

We agree. This game DOES rocks ass. If you haven’t yet, please wishlist - it really helps us out!

Promise Mascot Agency in EDGE magazine!

If you’ve got a passing interest in games, you’ve likely heard of EDGE - one of the longest-running and most-respected games magazines still around! We were extremely honoured to be chosen to feature in this issue’s previews section, and not only that, we’re the lead game! We spoke to the brilliant Chris Schilling who turned our chat into six great pages of coverage. Here’s a few of our favourite quotes:

“It certainly possesses the freewheeling, experimental spirit of a game from the PS2 or even early PS3 eras.”

“If Michi is technically the protagonist, then Pinky is the abrasive, misfit heart of Promise Mascot Agency.”

“As the agency starts to flourish, and Kaso-Machi with it, the feeling of progression is both exhilarating and gently moving.”

Also, if you haven’t wishlisted Promise Mascot Agency yet, please do so! It pushes us up the rankings and helps improve our visibility, so more people see the game! We all have bills to pay! Help us!!!

The Next Game From The Developer of Paradise Killer Announced!

Everyone at Kaizen Game Works is extremely proud to present Promise Mascot Agency, the world’s first (and best) open world mascot management crime drama.

Michi, a disgraced yakuza lieutenant, is exiled to a cursed town to turn a bankrupt mascot agency into a profitable enterprise. As he struggles in his new life, can he manage to create a successful business and unravel the conspiracy behind his exile? He’s helped by Assistant Manager Pinky, who happens to be a mascot herself.

It’s a hard game to explain in few words – we’ve got crime drama, flying trucks, unknowable beings that have lived among us since time was but a concept, mayoral elections, vloggers, business management and a cat that runs a closed-down train station. Just to name a few things.

If you’ve not seen the trailer yet, you can check it out above or on our new game page with a bunch of art and screenshots. Like what you see?

Promise Mascot Agency is coming to Steam and Steam Deck in 2025

It would help us massively if you could wishlist the game, please and thank you.

Get Paradise Killer, Roadwarden, Card Shark and seven other top-drawer narrative games for 83% off

I don't tend to write up Steam bundle discounts, but this is a rather good one. As the name suggests, LudoNarraCon and Fellow Traveller's Story-Rich Megabundle nets you 10 well-received narrative-heavy games for around £20, €23 or $25, including three games I'd personally say are among the choicest chunks of digital scribble to ever grace an SSD.
