The future of Below Sunshade

Hey folks!

First all we want to thank you for supporting us and playing Below Sunshade.
While the game is not perfect, reviews so far seem good and we're glad that you folks enjoy it.

This year we'll release Below Sunshade 1.1.0. That update will include several new erotic scenes, lots of balancing, new items and enemies and of course: A lot of bug fixes.

Every NPC (Idrune, Naipei, Talitha) will get more love.

You can expect 1.1.0 to release around mid-end of december. We'll very likely release a smaller patch before to crush some evil bugs.

Of course we also plan to add some content in 2020.

Let us know what you would like to see in Below Sunshade! Maybe another survivor? A new path/ending for our hero? And as always ...

Stay tuned

State of the Game

New Faces

Talitha has been on the island long before you arrived. The Vampiric pirate has spent many years on her own, avoiding the ire of the local population, while simultaneously feeding on their blood to survive.

The unorthodox manner of her arrival on the island, not to mention her knowledge of its inhabitants, may provide the key that you need to escape.

Naipei is one of the mysterious Sirens that can often be found on islands in the warmer Oceans of Adorevia. Like all of her kind, she will grant sailors blessing and aid in exchange for gifts.
But unlike others of her kind, Naipei is not on the island seeking boons. She is on the island for a more impassioned and violent purpose. Perhaps the two of you can find mutual cause?

Survival & Needs

When you add survival aspects into your game it's all about the right balance. It should never feel tedious and like a grind, instead it should be an element that plays along with the rest of the game.

Instead the game offers a wide mix of various, smaller features that all together create fun and flexible gameplay. You want to spend the new day gathering resources for a new building but you and Idrune are hungry? You can wait till night and hunt more dangerous creatures for better quality food or you split the resource hunt onto two days and play safe.

The game offers several approaches so you can chose the path you want.

And all those decisions eventually result in one of five endings, so the game offers replayability and rewards exploration and experimenting.

Exploration is one of the game's pillars together with survival and story. Secrets and exploration are a natural connection with the setting of being stranded on a mysterious island.

So there are secrets everywhere, some easy to find and some which may never be found at all.
