New Breeds - Update 1.24

Exciting news awaits in the latest update!

Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled ride as we introduce the Arabian and Selle Français horse breeds onto the tracks of Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition. A whole stable of surprises awaits you, so let's jump in!

Meet the new breeds
Arabian
Renowned for its beauty, intelligence, and endurance, the Arabian stands at 15.1 hands, boasting a distinctive face that adds to its majestic allure. Perfectly suited for any cross-country endeavour, this breed navigates diverse terrain easily and elegantly, reflecting centuries of selective breeding for agility and resilience.
Selle Français
Originating from France, the Selle Français combines strength, athleticism, and a willingness to please its rider, making it the ultimate sport horse. Standing at 16 hands tall, these majestic creatures possess powerful hindquarters, enabling them to excel at jumping over obstacles with unparalleled prowess. With their blend of majesty and patience, Selle Français horses are esteemed champions in the field, making them an ideal choice for Steeplechase.

These stunning new breeds are now available in-game, eagerly awaiting a new companion. They can be found within the Market, breeding screen Stud List, and the Horse Creator mode.

With the introduction of these new breeds, we've implemented some adjustments to highlight the
power and individuality of each horse. We refer to these as breed bonuses.

Breed Bonuses

A breed bonus is the additional stats a horse receives at birth based on its breed. Keeping that in mind, let’s explore what makes each breed unique.
Arabian:
The Arabian's breed stat bonus of +5 to Sprint Energy and +2 to Agility makes it a formidable competitor in endurance challenges and Cross-Country events,
Selle Français:
With a bonus breed stat of +5 in Jump and +2 in Acceleration, they excel in Steeplechase competitions, showcasing their agility and speed with finesse.
Thoroughbred:
With a bonus breed stat of +5 in Acceleration and +2 in Sprint, they shine in Flat Racing competitions, demonstrating their speed and mastery in dominating the track.

Cross breeding

Currently, breeding between different horse breeds results in a 50/50 chance of obtaining either breed. Patterns, colours, and dilution may be inherited from both breeds, creating distinctive and unique combinations.

You can also pass on your legacy (see previous update notes) to a different breed allowing you to have a legacy of champion horses that span across disciplines.

What's on the horizon?

We've got some neat updates in the pipeline and we're excited to share them with you. These include tweaks to free roam, bringing in fresh patterns, and unveiling a completely new breed. Stay tuned as we'll have more details about these upcoming changes to share with you soon.

That wraps up this update, folks. Thanks for hanging out! Don't forget to stay tuned to the community for the latest news and competitions. Until next time, happy racing/riding, everyone!

The Legacy - Update 1.23
Welcome to the latest update for Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition.
This update takes us back to the roots, to the days when your grandfather managed the ranch with his loyal horse, Destiny’s Dream.
Let's get into it.
Francis stumbled upon something we think will pique your interest.

Take the reins of your very own legacy horse, a descendant of your grandfather's horse. The legacy horse brings a whole new level of connection and bonding to your ranch, allowing you to pass down the legacy of your grandfather's horse through generations.
What makes a legacy horse so special?
Besides being a descendant of your grandfather's horse, legacy horses come with some pretty neat genetic advantages. Thanks to your special ties with the bloodline, the horse will now gain an extra experience boost.
How do I get a legacy horse?
As we mentioned earlier, finding these incredible horses was all thanks to the wonderful Francis.

Here he will inform you that he has found a bunch of Destiny’s Dream descendants, and its now your choice to pick which new equine friend you would like to bring home.

Enter Custom horse mode, Starting at Grade 3, you can choose your dream Legacy horse from a wide range of coats and colours.
I have a legacy horse, what now?
You can continue your lineage of legacy horses by continuing to breed using the initial legacy horse, with the end goal being to raise a champion horse from the same bloodline.

Your legacy will be able to be passed along to the offspring as long as the offspring's grade is equal or higher to the lowest grade parent. To do so, head to the Manage Horse Screen of the Legacy horse and click Transfer Legacy, This will bring up a list of eligible legacy horses.
Okay, let's talk about New Horse Breeds, where are they?
Let’s jump into it.
Stats and Inheritance:
Exciting News! Stat Grading is now available with the latest update, version 1.21! Horses are now assigned letter grades (ranging from D for ordinary to A+ for the pinnacle of perfection) to signify their excellence in each stat. You can view these from your usual stat screen.

In 1.21, we've fine-tuned the process of foal stat inheritance, making it less random and increasing the likelihood of a foal having stats averaging those of its parents. - For instance, if the mare has “A+” Speed and the stud has “B” Speed, the foal is likely to have “A” Speed. However, if a foal is born at a higher grade than its parents, its stats won't be as high.

You can swap between letter and numbered stats on any screen stats are available.
