Apex Legends' streetwear Market skins release date leaked

It's been over a year since unique fashion brand Chinatown Market announced a cosmetics collaboration with Respawn Entertainment's battle royale shooter Apex Legends. However, the actual release of these streetwear skins was delayed following the decision from Chinatown Market to rebrand in an effort to make a statement for the #StopAsianHate movement. They were released for a limited time, though, in September 2021 - but, that was a while ago. If you're looking forward to another chance to get your hands on these cosmetics, you'll be pleased to know that the Apex Legends streetwear "Market" skins' release date has been leaked alongside a look at a handful of new designs.

Shared on Reddit by 'Growtth', showing a video from Apex Legends' data miner 'Nitz' and information from known Apex Legends leaker 'Ezra-RC', the leaks suggest that Apex Legends' redesigned Chinatown Market skins and the new streetwear-themed skins will be released as a part of Apex Legends' Summer Store promotion that begins on July 5, 2022.

With this in mind, and the fact that further leaks suggest a number of ALGS-themed cosmetics will also be made available at the start of this promotion, the streetwear-themed Market skins are expected to be available in-game from July 12, 2022 - a week later.

Apex Legends players may miss out on six mobile-exclusive legends

With the introduction of Newcastle in Season 13, dubbed Saviors, Apex Legends players can enjoy Respawn Entertainment's incredible battle royale with over 20 different playable legends - each with their own unique abilities, animations, appearance, and voice lines. However, that isn't to say Apex Legends players on PC and console get to enjoy everything Respawn Entertainment has to offer. Apex Legends Mobile already has one mobile-exclusive playable legend, Fade, and leakers reckon there are at least another six to come.

Recently shared on Reddit by user 'RChacon09', but seemingly originating from 'Leakers on Duty', data miners have delved into Apex Legends Mobile's files and found 14 legends that are expected to be added in future updates. Of these 14, eight of them are already available in the console and PC version of Apex Legends - including Wattson, Horizon, Valkyrie, and Rampart. However, there are six that the leakers believe to be mobile-exclusive legends.

Ahead of any official announcements, these six are known as: DJ (aka, Rhapsody), Spider, Amphere, Monkey King, Botanist, and Seeker. It's important to note that these are codenames and may not be the final names of any future Apex Legends or Apex Legends Mobile playable characters.

Apex Legends' latest movement exploit is going to break some ankles

Apex Legends' latest movement exploit is going to break some ankles

Apex Legends has always been a game filled with unintended exploits and mechanics. While some get patched away, others live on as legitimate aspects of the meta. Some of the most controversial often revolve around movement - we're sure you all remember the uproar and debate around tap strafing. Well, there's a new movement technique in town, and it's definitely going to cause some frustrations if more players learn to master it.

As spotted by Dexerto and first revealed on the r/Apexrollouts subreddit a couple of weeks ago by a player in a test build of Apex Legends, "mantle jumping" is a new movement technique that lets you perform a massive, speedy jump when moving towards a ledge that you would usually mantle and clamber up.

This has now been replicated a few times by other players, and it seems to be slowly catching on, as this viral post from June 28 demonstrates. Mantle jumping seems particularly effective when going up ziplines and trying to challenge teams that are set up at the top of buildings.

Apex Legends announcer joins the Avengers game as Jane Foster

Zehra Fazal has been lending her voice to the Apex Games for more than three years now, not actively getting involved in the battle. But, that has now changed as Zehra Fazal has joined the cast of the Avengers game as Jane Foster: The Mighty Thor, stepping into the fight as a true legend (albeit a legend from a different universe).

The voice actress, who has had a number of voiceover roles including in 2019's Call of Duty Modern Warfare, from voicing the female Exo in Destiny 2 to the aforementioned Apex Legends announcer, will join the Avengers game on June 28 with the release of Jane Foster.

Announced on June 21, this is the last confirmed new character set to arrive in the beleaguered game, although Square Enix has committed to continued support. Jane Foster's inclusion ties in with the upcoming release of Thor Love and Thunder in theatres and cinemas on July 7, 2022.
