Apex Legends bad player data error - how to fix this issue

Respawn Entertainment's Season 12 Defiance update is proving popular with Apex Legends fans and, as with every new season, a huge influx of new and returning players is causing server issues and bringing back confusing error codes. If you're trying to log into Apex Legends and you find the "server received bad player data" disconnect code, you're not alone. Here's everything you need to know about it and what you can do to fix this issue.


Apex Legends' Season 12 Defiance update has introduced a new legend to Respawn's growing roster of characters and has implemented some major Olympus map changes. The big talking point of this update, though, is Apex Legends' new Control LTM. This is an unlimited respawn mode that pits two teams of nine against each other in a mode somewhat similar to Call of Duty's Domination or Destiny 2's own Control mode.


All of this new content is proving popular and, without a hotfix update from Respawn Entertainment, players are still being faced with this login issue. Here's everything you need to know about how you can fix Apex Legends bad player data error if you encounter it.

To further celebrate the game’s third anniversary and its amazing community, Apex Legends players can unlock three top Legends, three thematic packs, plus one Legendary pack for each of them just for logging in for the first three weeks of Defiance.*



[h2]NEW LEGEND[/h2]
Mad Maggie, cutthroat warlord and the Outlands’ meanest mad-lass, is back and she’s coming into the Apex Games like a wrecking ball with an offensive playstyle. With enhanced shotgun proficiency, the ability to dislodge enemies behind cover, and a crushing Ultimate, aggressive players are going to love playing as Mad Maggie.

Passive: Warlord's Ire
Temporarily highlight enemies you’ve damaged. No movement speed penalty when wielding Shotguns.

Tactical: Riot Drill
Fire a drill that attaches to an obstacle and burns enemies on the other side.

Wrecking Ball
Throw a ball that releases speed-boosting pads and detonates near enemies.

[h2]BRAND NEW LIMITED-TIME MODE: CONTROL[/h2]
Defiance kicks off with Control, a brand-new limited-time mode that delivers an adrenaline-fueled 9v9 experience where two teams fight to capture and control points on the map. Featuring the largest team sizes in Apex Legends to date, players will pre-select their loadouts, drop in, and for the first time ever have the opportunity to experience the rush of having the same Legends fighting side by side, creating thrilling moments that can only happen in Control. In this mode, death is not the end, as throughout the match players will be able to respawn and carry on the fight until one team earns enough points to be declared the winner. So get ready to experience the spectacle of 9v9 Legend combat when Control kicks off on February 8th.

[h2]GET REWARDS TO KICKOFF THE SEASON[/h2]
To celebrate the 3rd Anniversary and the amazing community of Apex Legends, we’re giving away rewards to all players who log in during the first three weeks of Defiance.* From February 8 to February 15, all players will unlock three Octane thematic packs just for logging in; if players don’t already have him, he’ll automatically be unlocked. From February 15 through February 22, players that login will unlock three Wattson thematic packs, as well as the Legend herself if she’s not on the player’s roster. Then we round out the celebration with Valkyrie, where between February 22 and March 1st players that login unlock three Valkyrie thematic packs plus one Legendary pack, with those that have yet to unlock this high-flying Legend getting her just for logging in. So be sure to login between February 8th and March 1st to unlock your rewards!

Apex Legends Defiance launches today!

After weeks of trailers, gameplay videos, and deep dives into new features, Apex Legends Defiance is finally out today! This season, the twelfth since the game’s release, brings with it a revamped Olympus map, Mad Maggie, the Control game mode and an array of new balance changes.

The update should be going live at roughly 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT. So you haven't got long left to wait before the the popular battle royale undergoes some substantial changes!

Let's start with Mad Maggie, the newest legend you’ll be able to mess around with today. This character, with a variety of abilities that make rushing into combat for close-range duels easier than ever, has been dropped down into the Apex games as part of the narrative at the heart of this season. One of the most overtly offensive legends we’ve seen in a while, Maggie is a fantastic pick for those who like to rush from one gunfight to another.

Apex Legends PS5 and Xbox Series X|S ratings have surfaced

Respawn Entertainment hasn't made any official announcements regarding a native next-gen release for Apex Legends - but, that doesn't mean one isn't coming. Ratings for Apex Legends on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S have been spotted online by Gematsu, for both Taiwan and Europe. This comes just days after it was revealed that news on a next-gen version of Apex Legends was coming "very, very shortly" by Respawn.


While we don't have a concrete release date for Apex Legends' next-gen version. The aforementioned comments from game director Steven Ferreira during a recent media event would suggest that the announcement - and release - could be coming a lot sooner than we think.


Apex Legends was originally launched without forewarning and we could see a next-gen version release in the same way.
