As if there wasn’t enough Apex Legends news as of late, the popular battle royale from Respawn Entertainment is also nearing its three-year anniversary. To celebrate, all players will be able to redeem some free packs throughout the month of February, as well as some new Legends if they haven’t gotten around to unlocking them yet.
Split into three different periods, a total of ten packs (nine thematic and one legendary) will be up for grabs alongside Octane, Wattson, and Valkyrie themselves.

There’s finally some new juicy story content for the Apex Legends community to chew on, as a new Stories from the Outlands cinematic trailer has just gone live. In this trailer, we see fan-favourite character Mad Maggie stand trail for her crimes against the Syndicate.
Not just that, but this trailer also comes with an announcement for the next season of Apex Legends - Defiance - which will be receiving a official launch trailer January 27. The cherry on top of all this, Apex Legends: Defience will be launching worldwide Febuary 8.
Via the Apex Legends website, we can also get an early look at other major new updates coming with season 12. This includes Control, a new game mode where nine-player-teams face off to control certain locations with infinite respawns. Not only that, but the Olympus map is also getting an update, although we’re currently uncertain what this will look like.
Apex Legends' Season 12 update cannot come soon enough - fans of Respawn Entertainment's shooter are eager to learn of what's next for Apex Legends as we approach the game's three-year anniversary - and it looks like information is starting to slip through the cracks. The latest Season 12 leaks suggest that Maggie is joining Apex Legends as the next playable character.
It feels like an inevitability these days that upcoming Apex Legends content is going to be leaked ahead of its official reveal and release - in some capacity anyway. Data miners are always scouring Apex Legends' game files for any hint at what's to come and there is almost always something to talk about.
Ahead of Respawn's Season 12 announcement - which is expected within the next week or two - Apex Legends leakers have shared a new look at Maggie - the long-rumoured Season 12 legend - and what to expect from her. We don't have a good look at her in-game character model yet, but the artwork shared is raising a lot of eyebrows.
