Another week, another Apex Legends trailer! That’s right, a short but sweet gameplay trailer for the upcoming Defiance update has just dropped showcasing the myriad new additions and changes coming to the popular battle royale later this month.

This trailer comes close behind a series of cinematic trailers showcasing the narrative set up to the season, and goes a long way in fleshing out what the actual gameplay implications of the season will be. You can watch the trailer yourself linked below:

First things first – Control! This limited-time game mode is set to drop alongside season 12 and puts two teams of nine against each other as they fight over three objective markers spread across the map. From the gameplay trailer, it appears to be your typical King of the Hill game mode, although it does come alongside infinite revives and an in-game ranking system that appears to upgrade your weapons as you score more points.

The new Apex Legends Season 12 gameplay trailer gives us a better look at Mad Maggie's fiery abilities, and they seem perfect for flushing campers out of their hiding spots. This latest trailer, delivered as a piece of Silva Pharmaceuticals propaganda, also reveals the Sabotaged Olympus map update and Control mode coming in Season 12.

Another day, another addition to the ongoing series of Apex Legends season 12 teases. Just now, we’ve just been treated to the cinematic launch trailer for the new season, which continues the ongoing story for Mad Maggie following the announcement trailer released earlier in the week. You can watch this new trailer embedded below!

In this trailer, we see Maggie dropped into the Apex Games on Olympus by the judge who played an antagonistic role in the previous trailer. Once on the ground, she finds her way into an underground bunker, where the mysterious character responsible for sending her to the games in the first place is found toiling away at a computer.

Eagle-eyed Apex fans will see him engaging a program by the name of Defiance on said console - the namesake of the season - before teleporting Olympus above an as of yet unidentified city. Maggie is blamed for this of course, but there might be a good reason for that (aside from Gibraltar being a jerk). The new location Olympus seems to be floating above looks strikingly familiar to the city Mad Maggie was seen leading riots in the prior trailer.

Until recently, Mad Maggie's main claim to fame in Apex Legends was that she had a surprisingly spry 80-year-old mum, and loved to tell people about it. Now we know she'll be emerging from the backstory and joining the playable Legend roster with Season 12 (Defiance), and a new trailer gives us our first look at her rather destructive set of abilities.
