ALGS caster Falloutt on the successes and failures of Apex Legends esports so far

Jon 'Falloutt' Kefaloukos has been casting competitive Apex Legends since the very beginning. A veteran of Halo and Gears of War broadcasts, he has more recently turned his voice to the battle royale genre with the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends competitive tournaments.

Whether he's hosting or shoutcasting, Falloutt quickly became a staple of the Apex Legends Global Series, to the extent that it would now be strange to see a broadcast without his trademark analysis. From early LAN events to the absurdity that can come with online play, he's seen it all and has been with fans for the entire journey through Apex Legends esports.

Apex Legends patch looks to stop hackers from ruining tournaments

Respawn's latest Apex Legends update has patched an exploit that was preventing players from playing. The patch comes after hackers have been locking high-profile players out of their accounts.

In particular, one of the battle royale's biggest streamers Shivam 'ShivFPS' Patel, has been targeted while trying to climb the Apex Legends ranks on his Twitch livestreams. An Apex Predator-standard player, who has competed in the Apex Legends Global Series on numerous occasions and goes by the formidable moniker of the 'solo-queue warlord,' Shiv is known for his ability to beam enemies as well as his tirades against cheaters and stream snipers.

It seems likely that he was targeted in order to provoke one such tirade, but a hacker - possibly a cheater who goes by the name of 'Tufi' - has been regularly locking Shiv out of his account, forcing him to create new accounts every time he plays a new match. Eventually, Shiv figured out a workaround by using an indecipherable screen name, but the problem was clear.

Apex Legends new character is the daughter of a Titanfall 2 boss

Respawn Entertainment have revealed that the next character jumping into the Apex Legends arena is Valkyrie. She's the daughter of Viper, a villainous Titan pilot you might recognise from Titanfall 2. In a new Stories From The Outlands video, we get a glimpse of Valkyrie as a kid, taking a joy ride in papa's big Northstar mech. Unfortunatley, it seems Apex still isn't getting proper mechs, but Valkyrie will be bringing a few parts of Northstar into the battle royale with her when the new season starts on May 4th.
