Apex Legends is getting into the Halloween spirit with the Monsters Within event

Many games dive right into the season’s festivities with dress up items and limited time features, and Apex Legends is no exception.

Starting October 12 and running to November 2, you can participate in the Monsters Within event, where you will strive to conquer the Encore Arenas map, earn special event-limited cosmetic sets, and grab some bundles off the store.

When it comes to fighting it out, you will head over to Seer’s home planet Boreas and battle on the Encore Arenas map. According to Respawn Entertainment, the layout features two high-ground power positions

It's beginning: video game Halloween celebrations are starting to emerge from the shadows for another year. This Tuesday, Apex Legends players will be able to jump into the battle royale's new spooky event, Monsters Within. It brings back the limited-time mode that turns Legends into zombies to hunt their pals, adds a bunch of eerie cosmetics, and introduces a new ominous-looking Arenas map to boot. I'm very excited. Halloween!

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year: nights grow long and dark with shadows, and the Legends dress up for the occasion...and reveal the Monsters Within.

Fight to conquer the new Encore Arenas map, while special event-limited cosmetic sets highlight the scary side of some of our most fearsome Legends like Revenant, Bloodhound, Caustic and Seer. On October 26, rediscover Shadow Royale, a different kind of Battle Royale where slain Legends respawn in a Shadow-Form to exact revenge and help living squadmates. Shadow lives are infinite, and your squad’s not eliminated until the last living Legend falls.

Apex Legends still has stability issues after patch that should've fixed them

If you've tried to play Apex Legends over the last week or so and noticed that things have been pretty slow, you're not alone. Since the game's Evolution Collection event launched last week, the battle royale and its servers have been struggling, and Respawn Entertainment have been tinkering away to try and sort it all out. Yesterday, they issued a patch to resolve a number of bugs and improve stability, but having played a few matches myself last night, it seems we're not out of the woods just yet.
