Apex Legends datamine teases Caustic prestige skin release date

We know the Sun Squad Collection Event is just kicking off, but a recent Apex Legends datamine is teasing this battle royale's players with what's to come in the next Collection Event - and it's great news for Caustic mains. Yes, that's right; it looks like we're finally going to have a Caustic prestige skin release date to talk about - and it's about time too, right?

If Apex Legends content creator and reliable leaker 'SenosApex' is to be believed (and they're rarely wrong), we could be seeing another Apex Legends Collection Event - which presents players with the Caustic prestige skin - start in-game just a week after the conclusion of the upcoming Sun Squad event.

So, that means, if nothing changes, the Apex Legends Caustic Prestige skin release date is April 18. We know we said this Apex Legends update is what would make Prestige skins worth unlocking, but we still can't help but get a little excited about the prospect of seeing another mythic-rarity skin in this battle royale shooter.

New Apex Legends event skins have nothing on these Sun Squad concepts

Well, we can't quite believe it but Respawn Entertainment has buckled and given Apex Legends fans a Loba swimsuit skin in-game. However, as exciting as the new Apex Legends event skins are, the upcoming Sun Squad Collection Event is missing a few skins. Thankfully, a talented 3D artist has taken it upon themselves to deliver Sun Squad Collection Event swimsuit skins for Revenant and Pathfinder. Yeah, they're just about as hilarious as you might imagine they are.

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit with the confidence of a 3D artist who has struck gold, 'Muradiant' has shared an image of both Revenant and Pathfinder wearing bikinis on a beach. We don't want to call anyone out for being a fool, but if you think wearing a bikini is going to make Revenant look less cool, you're mistaken. He's obviously wearing sunnies.

But, as you can see for yourself below, these swimsuit skins are quite-literally just the default appearances for both of Apex Legends characters mentioned with solid-colour bikinis on. As hilarious as we find it, we're not sure Respawn Entertainment would get away with a skin that's so similar to the default appearance - even if that's what the fans seemingly want.

Apex Legends smuggles vital Ash buff in Sun Squad event update

Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has just revealed the Sun Squad Collection Event - a summer-themed in-game event kicking off a lot sooner than summer is IRL. If you're someone who's been wanting some sort of beachwear cosmetic for Loba, you're in luck. You can stop asking now, an Apex Legends swimsuit skin is coming. However, Loba mains aren't the only ones winning in this Collection Event update. Apex Legends is smuggling a vital Ash buff in the Sun Squad Collection Event update.

As shown by this Apex Legends blog post on the new Collection Event, it looks like Ash's Arc Snare tactical ability is going to get a rather substantial buff when the next title update drops - which is going to be on March 28, when the event itself begins.

Not only is Respawn Entertainment reducing the cooldown of this ability by five seconds, from 25s to 20s, it's also increasing the travel speed of the Arc Snare projectile itself by almost double. This means that the Arc Snare travel speed is being increased from 700 up to 1200.

You can stop asking now, an Apex Legends swimsuit skin is coming

23/03/2023 Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that a swimsuit skin is coming to Apex Legends in the Sun Squad Collection Event. Details have been added to the text below to reflect that.

Now, we don't want to get anyone of you out there too excited, but it looks like we might be seeing an Apex Legends swimsuit skin from Respawn Entertainment very soon - and, no, we're not joking around. The battle royale developer has taken to Twitter with a "deal" that it would "add the swimsuit skin" if a post hit a certain number of likes on the social media platform. And, as you might imagine, this didn't take long at all. So, now it looks like Respawn Entertainment is going to introduce a swimsuit skin for Apex Legends. Yeah, we know.

If you're someone who spends a bit of time on the Apex Legends subreddit, you'll know all-too-well that quite a lot of this battle royale's fans have been asking for a Loba swimsuit skin for quite some time. So, the fact that Respawn Entertainment is going to give Apex Legends fans "the" swimsuit skin is exciting.

But, it's that exact phrasing that could mean we're in for something entirely different. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
