Apex Legends' End of Year Sale stretches discounts into the New Year

It's safe to say that it has been one hell of a year for Respawn Entertainment's battle royale shooter Apex Legends. Four more characters have been introduced to shake up the Apex Legends tier list, LTMs have come and gone, and we've been trying to climb to the top of the Apex Legends ranks for a whole 12 months. With Apex Legends only going from strength to strength, we can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for us. If you want to head into 2023 with something a little flashy, you're in luck; the Apex Legends End of Year Sale is starting - and it stretches well into the New Year.

From December 27 until January 10, Apex Legends' End of Year Sale is going to offer players limited-time discounts on in-game bundles, legendary skins, Apex Packs, and more.

Specifically, we're expecting things to kick off around 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 GMT on December 27 - as this is the usual update time for Apex Legends - and end at a similar time in January 2023.

Apex Legends anti-cheat changes are arriving soon, Respawn dev teases

For those wanting to see Respawn Entertainment do more to tackle cheating in Apex Legends, we bring you good news - the battle royale's head of security has revealed that Apex Legends anti-cheat changes are coming soon, and that they're "very exciting".

Anyone climbing the Apex Legends ranks - particularly in those high-stakes games towards the top of the competitive ladder - will know how painful it is running into someone getting a bit of an extra hand, if you catch our drift. However, it sounds as if Respawn is going to act and increase its efforts to make Apex cheater-free.

Conor 'Hideouts' Ford, security analyst at Respawn and Apex's public-facing ban hammer-wielder, has teased that some "very exciting" changes will be coming to Apex Legends in the new year, and that includes its anti-cheat.

If leaks are to be believed, Apex Legends may soon be getting a big overhaul to its roster of legends. Don't panic, none of them are getting binned off. What's allegedly going down at Respawn is an Apex Legends class rework, and I haven't been this interested in a change to the battle royale for quite a long time.

Potentially arriving on the Apex Legends Season 16 release date, this rework - if the leaks are to be believed - will finally sort out Apex's wonky and unaligned class system. Right now in the game, there are four classes of legends: Recon, Support, Defensive, and Offensive (the latter is essentially a big catch-all term for any legend that doesn't fit in the other three).

Some of these classes contain several legends, while others only house a couple. Support is the most obvious case of this, as only Loba and Lifeline currently live in this category.

We know you can already get your hands on a lot of free-game items over the next week thanks to the packed Apex Legends Twitch drops schedule shared by Respawn Entertainment recently, but there are even more free things on the way in the New Year. If you're a Twitch Prime subscriber, you'll be pleased to know that the next Apex Legends Prime Gaming bundle is coming in January - and its' contents have been datamined ahead of time.

Shared online by 'kript2', notable Apex Legends leaker 'SenosApex' has found that the January Apex Legends Prime Gaming bundle is going to feature an epic Rampart skin, a rare Rampart frame, and a rare Spitfire skin. We know she's not at the top of our Apex Legends tier list, but this is a must-have bundle for Rampart mains.

This information comes ahead of any official announcements from Respawn Entertainment, so it is subject to change. However, it looks pretty in-line with what we've seen from Prime Gaming in the past - and SenosApex isn't usually wrong when it comes to these sorts of things.
