Dev Stream! 3-18-22 Gold quiver! Sword can pick up items!

Join us for our weekly dev stream!

Lots of bugs and polish to test this week! We also implemented a Gold Quiver. When picked up it grants the Player unlimited arrows! We'll be showcasing and testing the following updates we recently made:

  • Gold Quiver Grants unlimited arrows!
  • Missing tile color Changed the missing tile color from white to dark gray, this makes it easier to see what will turn into a pit when playing.
  • Sword can pickup items! The Player can now pick up items by swinging at them with the Sword. This is especially helpful for items that end up in a wall/other object or over a pit!
  • Multiplayer pickup fixes In multiplayer the Lantern was not granting increased light radius to players 2-4. Players 2-4 can also now pickup big hearts to increase their health!
  • Increased Bomb Radius We increased the size of the bomb explosion radius. We'll do lots of testing to see how this feels.
  • Player can no longer interact with Orb Switch Before it was possible to press the interact button to activate an Orb Switch. We've been meaning to disable that for awhile. We want to create situations where you need to come back with a weapon (or other source like a Warthog enemy) to trigger an Orb Switch.
  • Various small bug fixes We'll be doing a bunch of other bug testing on stream.

Dev Stream! 3-11-22 The Ghost enemy is finished! Lets talk about that Playtest

Join us for our weekly dev stream!

We're continuing to focus on polish and bug fixing, I know, not the most exciting stuff but definitely important. We'll be showcasing and testing the following updates we recently made:

  • Ghost enemy We finished up the ghost, it now properly floats over everything so we're going to do some extensive testing with it!
  • Playtest chat Now that its announced and set for April 1st, lets talk more about what will be in the build for the Playtest.
  • Various bug testing We'll be doing a bunch of other bug testing on stream.

OPEN PLAYTEST STARTS APRIL 1ST!

Hey Dungeon Designers!

This is no April fools joke, signups for our next Open Playtest are currently live on our Steam page!

The Playtest will run from April 1st through April 3rd!

We're looking forward to your feedback and suggestions to help guide us as we continue to work on the game. More details about the contents of the Playtest will be posted as an announcement just like this one when we get a bit closer to the Playtest date.

PLAYTEST ANNOUNCEMENT! Dev Stream! 3-4-22 Bug fixes and Enemy AI enhancements!

This week we focused on some bug fixes and polish, we'll be showcasing and testing the following updates we recently made:

  • Info on our next open Playtest! Come to the stream to learn more, we'll be posting a followup announcement here over the weekend.
  • Enemy AI Enhancements We made some enhancements to the enemy AI wander behavior, going to do some testing with that on stream.
  • Colored Tiles! We're going to continue to do more testing with the colored tiles!
  • Various bug testing We fixed lots of bugs, we'll be doing a bunch of testing on stream.

Dev Stream! 2-25-22 Bug fixes and new tile colors!

Join us for our weekly dev stream!

This week we focused on some bug fixes and polish, we'll be showcasing and testing the following updates we recently made:

  • Menu blur on pause
  • Colored Tiles! Previously, the only tile color was the default light grey/purple color. We added a bunch of different color options that the player can pick from. This means you can mix and match colors or create entire rooms in a new color. It's pretty great seeing some new options! We shared this last stream but we'll be doing more testing with it this week.
  • Various bug testing We fixed lots of bugs, we'll be doing a bunch of testing on stream.
