Beta 382 Changelog | Release Candidate

  • Added: Experimental Option, Input blocking. This just automates the process of turning on the global overlay input blocking system through SteamVR settings. This option will allow XSO to take control of input exclusively while Layout Mode is open, preventing input to the background application.

  • Changed: Decreased size of Tutorial tooltips by 10%;

  • Changed: Adjusted how "Force High Quality Overlays" works to hopefully sidestep any performance issues.

  • Fixed: Tooltips get stuck being open when quickly transitioning from a tooltipped element to a desktop capture.

  • Added: Small animation to desktop window to ensure that users put on the headset to see the overlay.

  • Added: New Settings Tab "Experimental." This tab will contain experimental settings, and a description of what each one does.

  • Added: Force Higher Quality Overlay Rendering option to the "Experimental" tab in Settings.

  • Fixed: Issue where if no settings for the overlay existed, the new settings would get corrupt, and things would break. The overlay will now also detect if your settings are corrupt and will reset them automatically on launch.

  • Fixed: Issue where smart roll was acting without being within the angle limit for it to act.

  • Window Settings toolbar no longer smoothly follows behind a window, and instead will just stick to the bottom of the window. This change was made to make selecting things on the toolbar easier when a window was attached to a device, such as the hands or head.

  • Fixed: Smart roll should no longer cause windows to not show up.

  • Changed: New Windows will now spawn in the same spot the keyboard / settings window spawn upon creation, instead of spawning a meter in front of the head.

  • Fixed: Bug that allowed you to scroll on the desktop while hovering over UI elements.
  • Fixed: Bug that caused scroll direction to be inverted if slightly pushing the stick in one direction.
  • Fixed: Bug that caused a misalignment in the cursor when a curved overlay became uncurved.
  • Fixed: Global settings menu no longer rotates weirdly when summoned.
  • Fixed: Caps lock can no longer be inverted from the System Keyboard.
  • Fixed: Oculus controller icons should no longer constantly blink at you, you weren't low battery, Oculus just doesn't provide battery info.
  • Fixed: Localization now applies to all text instantly, without needing to disable and re-enable the menu.
  • Fixed: Bug that made monitor captures freeze when opening Layout Mode.
  • Fixed: Bug that made monitor captures freeze on occasion.
  • Fixed: Bug that allowed you to see other UI elements intersecting with the Keyboard and Settings menus.
  • Fixed: Overlays loaded from a layout should now always have the correct opacity, scale, curvature, etc.
  • Fixed: Loading a layout with windows that do not exist on the desktop will no longer produce an invisible overlay.
