Update for 6/13/24

- Lots more collision fixes and improvements
- bananas now sleep on spawn
- briefcases no longer spawn rubber ducks
- fixed the Traditional Chinese showing some elements in simplified on the main menu
- fixed a bug where slomo could get stuck on if you tripped a human JUST as you were about to catch a bird (or other edge cases)
- fixed some of the Traditional Chinese files not properly getting updated
- improved collisions and fixed areas of the doggo yard where the dog balls could get stuck
- Fixed convenience store worker getting stuck in a "return the fish" loop
- fixed some ledge climb transitions which could cause an edge case where the transition didn't finish the kitty would get stuck mid climb
- fixed the trashcan in the far main street's exit being wrong which would put in the wall on exit
- slight changes to kitty's arms and look-at when pouncing on a bird and some look-at tweaks in general

  • The game will now query steam achievements and stats and make sure they are synched with in-game achievements and if not, resolve it
  • Fixed some cases where player save position could be saved as NaN
  • Fixed DualShock4 + DualSense not working on emote wheel
  • Fixed the right clavicle on kitty pointing weirdly when pouncing a bird
  • Traditional Chinese translation has been completely redone
  • Fixed the Unstick Me button text missing a character in Japanese
  • Lots more collision bits on buildings and streets have been fixed
  • Save games now show the percent of the game you’ve completed
  • Fixed a case where the BANANAs were going away
  • Fixed some potted plants disappearing
  • Fixed bananas tripping peds when they were too far from the ped's feet
  • Added effects to when a ped trips on a banana
  • Removed the blue bin from the convenience store
  • Fixed the banana not ever tripping anyone else after tripping someone once
  • Made adjustments to the ledge climb that would get "stuck" to prevent it from getting stuck
  • Fixed a bug in the ledge climb code that would put the climb point on step higher than it should have

Update Notes for 5/23/24

- bones and rubber ducks will reset their positions on load unless they were used to progress "their quest"
- soccer balls now no longer save their position unless you've completed their individual net quest - if you haven't completed it, the ball will reset on each load
- slight wall jump improvements to make it harder to do them accidentally
- made it a tad easier to cling to a wall for a wall slide
- improvements to ledge climbing overall
-- ledge climbing onto a thin ledge will now no longer force you to keep moving forward and drop off the other side - you will now stop
- precision jumping visuals are now a bit more accurate and will "snap" to the legde if you can ledge climb to give you more of a visual indicator for success
- added a visual paw indicator feedback when it snaps
- updated the precision jump dot lines to be more accurate
- fixed birds getting stuck on you if you caught one and immediately got scared
- doggo balls will now reset to their spawn position on loading if they haven't been put in the hole
- the blue rooftop bin and the conv store fan will now reset their positions on load if they havent been used to complete their quest - after the quest is complete, they save their position
- fixed being able to get a prompt for crawling while pulling a bin
- lots of collision updates, fixes and improvements
- fixed a case where the construction yard failsafe for hiding the blue bin wasn't working
- fish now reset their position on load unless they are eaten
- fixed not being able to get on top of the kyoto style house
- fixed the aim paws not aiming off of tall drops
- if you precision onto ivy, you'll now auto cling/climb
- fixed a bug that caused the game to play slowly if you caught a bird and tripped a human right after
- fixed not being able to pull bins in non-english languages
- kitty will pause when sneaking now when you stop moving instead of transitioning back to an idle state

Thanks everyone for your patience on this! Here are fixes for this update.

- fixed being able to open the emote menu when pawing
- fixed being able to take a photo during the outro (and some other periods as well)
- made improvements to the doggo quest and pushing balls
- fixed bad collision on the kyoto style house which allowed players to clip into the building and get trapped inside
- improved the kitty being carried behavior
- fixed not being able to get the shiny jar on the vent near the shrine pond area
- fixed areas that could allow the player to skip Crow and break other quests
- improved collision inside and outside the convenience store
- improved the collision in the arcade
- improved the collision behavior of some of the larger, unpickupable small props (like the robot and gecku toys)
- fixed some awkward and bad collision in the Gecku store
- fixed a spot where you could get up on the train tracks from the back side of the construction yard and get out of bounds (and not be able to get back to the construction yard)
- fixed the clips that cover the train tracks and prevent players front jumping on it from working
- fixed some areas in the doggo yard where a ball could potentially fall out and/or get stuck
- closed up a hole player could fall out of behind the covered bike structure
- fixed a handful of trashcans that would let you enter them on the wall side and when you exited, would place you through the wall
- major improvements to player collision code
- fixed one of the nests falling from it's spawn spot in some cases
- fixed the busting birds quest not counting a nest in some cases and will retroactively fix it for players who this happened to
- fixed the pine tree needles having box shadows
- fixed humans pushing around boxes or fans
- fixed players being jump scared if they are interacting with a box, trashcan, etc, or being carried
- added a failsafe for resetting the player if they happen to fall out of the map
- added an "Unstick Me!" button to the gameplay options menu ONLY TO BE USED IN EMERGENCIES
- added a failsafe for when tanuki is in the post pull state, but pre teleport state, to make sure she's in the right spot and enabled
- fixed being able to open the esc menu and also open photo mode when the portal map was open and you were selecting a teleport destination
- dev commands are no longer accessible in the release builds
- improved auto saving to not happen in times that would cause an issue
- fixed the camera wall detect using a box collider that was twice as big as it should be
- if a player is stuck inside a volume when loading a save, we now put you in a safe, unstuck position
- fixed fans pushing kitty TOO MUCH which caused players to fall out of the map or worse
- fix trip not working on banana after picking it up
- fixed some ground collisions that were concave mesh colliders and didn't properly detect collision when falling onto them
- fixed a bunch of areas around the construction yard to help prevent people getting themselves stuck by getting out in creative ways
- fixed a rare bug that would happen exiting photo mode where the main camera wouldn't re-enable
- fixed a rare bug when exiting photo mode where kitty would get punted across the world and trigger random things along the way (like the outro, lol)
