Everyone has been looking forward to Season 1, which begins today!

Since so much Season 1 information was made public in advance, we would like to talk about the regular season itself today, instead of giving more Season 1 details.

There were many ups and downs as we went through Preseason, but it's been a very valuable time for us, helping prepare us for everything that Season 1 will bring. Racers were able to play the game in advance and provide critical feedback in key areas, and we had the opportunity to review the game from a variety of angles to make sure we're ready.

Thanks to your feedback, we were able to address some important issues and be fully prepared for Season 1. We want to thank all our Racers for your encouragement and support!

KartRider: Drift Season 1 is the moment we rush out of the starting line, preferably with a full boost behind us!

With the addition of console support, we are launching KartRider: Drift with the full cross-platform play that's been our goal from the start. Several other features have also been added, including the upgrade system, new tracks, and the Grand Prix mode. As Season 1 moves into Season 2, 3 and beyond; everything about racing in KartRider: Drift will evolve and change.

In addition, exciting collaborations with Porsche and MapleStory will bring their distinct appeal to KartRider: Drift. We believe they will be a lot of fun for everyone, adding a different tone to your racing experience.

(Hint: Many more collaborations are planned for the future, and we hope that you look forward to them as much as we do!)

The KartRider: Drift Development Team is listening to your voices, and constantly putting in the effort to find what needs to be improved from your feedback and making sure we address it properly.

Keeping everything balanced, learning from various perspectives what is needed, and then applying and improving the game will ensure that KartRider: Drift has a bright future.

Racing Pass Details:

• Earn Trophies by completing Daily Challenges by racing in KartRider: Drift.
  • Each challenge has different requirements, and may also impose additional conditions to complete.
  • Not all Challenges award the same number of Trophies. The number varies based on the difficulty or complexity of the Challenge.
  • All Racers will be given 3 Daily Challenges each day.
  • Daily Challenges begin and expire at 12:00 AM UTC.
• Once earned, Trophies are automatically added to your total on the Racing Pass screen.
• Keep earning Trophies to level-up your Racing Pass! Once the Racing Pass period ends, you won't be able to progress the Racing Pass any further.
• There are two tracks for prizes: Normal and Premium. All Racers can earn items off of the Normal Track, and the Premium Track can be unlocked by purchasing a Premium Racing Pass for 500 K-COIN, which will grant all rewards on the Premium Track leveled up to thus far, and allow you to earn the Premium Track rewards as you level up your Racing Pass.
• You can also purchase a Premium Racing Pass Package for 1,000 K-COIN, which contains the Premium Racing Pass and gives you a bonus of 100 Trophies to start out with, ranking you up to Level 18 immediately!
  • The Premium Racing Pass Package cannot be purchased after purchasing the Premium Racing Pass.
• Purchasing the Premium Track will also give access to Premium Challenges, which can be completed over the course of a week and also award Trophies.
  • A total of 7 Premium Challenges are distributed to Premium Racing Pass holders each week.
  • Premium Challenges begin and expire at 12:00 AM UTC each Wednesday.
• You may also purchase levels at a cost of 15 K-COIN per Trophy needed to unlock that level.

[h2]About the Grand Prix[/h2]


The Grand Prix is a Seasonal Ranked mode, where you'll be pitted against fellow Racers. You can compete in the Item Grand Prix and Speed Grand Prix, progressing separately for both modes. As you compete in the Grand Prix, you'll gain or lose Grand Prix Points based on your performance, and the higher your GPP, the higher your Rank, all the way up to Grandmaster I!

Notes:

• All Grand Prix racers must first earn the B1 License in order to unlock the mode.
• Driver Assistance features are disabled for all racers in Grand Prix.
• Party Queuing is not available for Grand Prix.
• Rankings are updated daily between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM UTC.

You're not only competing for pride and glory, of course! Every Racer that competes within at least 10 Grand Prix races will earn additional rewards when the season ends, and the higher your rank, the better the rewards! Rewards are distinct for both Item and Speed mode too, so try to grab them both!

Don't stop once you've hit Grandmaster, though: The top Racers will earn bonus Emblems, with the top 100 listed in the Hall of Fame for next season.

• Grand Prix Points are added or removed based on your performance in Grand Prix matches.
  • Going on a winning streak will increase the amount of GPP earned!
  • Note: Win Streak Bonuses do not apply to Grandmaster-rank and above.

Season 1 Grand Prix Rewards

• When the Grand Prix season ends, rewards will be distributed based on the Racer's place overall and their Grand Prix Rank.
  • Note: Racers must Finish in at least 10 Grand Prix races to qualify for prizes.
• Rewards will be distributed 24 hours after the season's conclusion.
• Rewards must be claimed prior to the end of the following season, or will expire.
• Rewards can also be viewed in-game via the [Change Mode - Grand Prix - Item or Speed Grand Prix - Rewards] menu.
• Place Rewards:
  • Item Grand Prix:
    • 1st - 3rd Place: S1 Item Legend Emblem, and added to the Season Hall of Fame for the duration of the next season.
    • 4th - 100th Place: S1 Item Hero Emblem, and added to the Season Hall of Fame for the duration of the next season.
    • 101st - 1,000th Place: S1 Item Special Emblem.
  • Speed Grand Prix:
    • 1st - 3rd Place: S1 Speed Legend Emblem, and added to the Season Hall of Fame for the duration of the next season.
    • 4th - 100th Place: S1 Speed Hero Emblem, and added to the Season Hall of Fame for the duration of the next season.
    • 101st - 1,000th Place: S1 Speed Special Emblem.
