Dev Blog - Upcoming UI/UX Improvements

Hey there, Racers!

I'm JL, a KartRider: Drift developer.

It's been a while since the June Global Closed Beta ended. As mentioned in the previous Dev Blogs, the development team has analyzed the racing records and feedback from Racers in order to set the development direction moving forward. After going over that data, we are working on the following improvements.

First, we focused on improving the in-match UX (driving screen) in the June Closed Beta based on feedback from Racers in the November Closed Beta.

The improved in-match UX was well received by Racers who played and checked it out. Based on that positive feedback, we have been making detailed improvements in other areas we were not satisfied with.

In particular, there was a lot of feedback that the out-of-match UX was not intuitive. The dev team wants to focus on the out-of-match UI/UX other than the driving screen.

UI/UX is not simply about design aesthetics. We believe it should consider usability, player sentiment, convenience, and value.

That is why the dev team believes Racer feedback is so important, and that the dev team and Racers working together is the best way to make the UX complete.

We thought about the overall UI/UX from the start, based on the suggestions by Racers in the June Closed Beta. We spent a lot of time on how to make it easy and intuitive and provide usability and convenience to Racers.

As such, the out-of-match UX has been restructured from the start based on feedback from the Racers and internal discussion.

We are working to let it be used freely on various platforms, and for Racers to be able to check the information you want quickly and intuitively. Our goal is to develop and get it verified via internal Focus Group Tests. The out-of-match UX structure is being newly developed, and we are preparing another small Focus Group Test to verify it.

Rest assured, we are giving our all to provide a satisfying user experience, and then checking it step-by-step through Focus Group Tests.

Lastly, the feedback sent by you, Racers, is the direction KartRider: Drift is taking. That is why I believe communicating with you is so important. If you have any suggestions regarding the out-of-match UX, please share them with us on the Official Forums or on Discord.

JUNE GLOBAL CLOSED BETA STATISTICS

Dev Blog - The Work Continues

Hey there, Racers!

I'm JL, a KartRider: Drift developer.

There were many things I wanted to quickly talk about after the June Global Closed Beta ended, and I apologize for the delay in posting this Dev Blog. We have been busy analyzing the data and checking player feedback.

While analyzing the results of the June Closed Beta, I once again felt the positive response and love that our Racers have for KartRider: Drift. I was in awe of the honest feedback as well. As a developer of KartRider: Drift, I appreciate the support and feedback of all of our Racers!

After the June Closed Beta ended, the development team looked back and analyzed the data and feedback. We thought about how to satisfy our Racers. We sorted the feedback according to various criteria, resulting in 24 categories and a total of 728 topics that will guide the future direction of the dev team.

The most important thing in completing KartRider: Drift is the thoughts and gameplay of our Racers. We will complete this together with you and proceed with development that will meet the standard of our Racers by continuing to let you know where we're taking things.

That process will be shared through these Dev Blogs and discussed with our Racers as we look forward together. Please stay tuned as we work to bring KartRider: Drift to you, our Racers. I'll put in my best effort as I look forward to seeing you back on the track.

The stories you share in the KartRider: Drift community around the world mean a lot to the development of KartRider: Drift. If there is anything you would like to say to the dev team, please let us know in our social channels!

Dev Blog - Thanks for Playing Closed Beta 2

Hey there, Racers!

I'm JL, a KartRider: Drift developer.

The exciting seven days of the Global June Closed Beta are already over.

I would like to give thanks on behalf of the dev team for your passionate participation and affectionate interest. Every Racer who participated in the Global June Closed Beta experienced our game and provided us with precious feedback. The Global June Closed Beta may be over, but we believe it is now an important time to carefully review your feedback and incorporate them into KartRider: Drift.

I also played as one of the Racers and not as a developer during the Global June Closed Beta, and I spent considerable time talking to other players and experiencing KartRider: Drift. The time I spent with you, our Racers, was important. I was able to strongly identify with the stories and experiences of our Racers, and understand what was lacking in the game.

Now that this Closed Beta is over, we will go over everyone’s feedback and comments again and analyze them to further develop KartRider: Drift. We will continue to provide updates through Dev Blogs throughout the process.

We appreciate your continued interest in KartRider: Drift, and hope that you will check back in to see how your valuable feedback is getting developed and applied to the game. Thank you for participating in the Global June Closed Beta. It was an honor to race on the tracks with players from around the world!

I will put in my best efforts as we continue to improve KartRider: Drift and I look forward to seeing you back on the tracks.
