Attention Racers,

During the August 9 (PT) Mid-Season 3 Update, we will be introducing a pair of changes to Flag Mode, in an effort to combat certain abnormal play patterns, as well as relaxing an event's difficulty to make it more attainable through normal play.

First, one of the elements of the Capture the Flag Event, the "Win 5 Flag Mode Races within 2 Minutes" challenge, will be updated. It will now challenge Racers to win 5 Flag Mode Races within 2.5 Minutes, making it a bit easier to complete through normal play.

Additionally, we will be updating Flag Mode to forcibly Retire those that are not attempting to play the match, specifically targeting Racers that are AFKing throughout the match. Normal play should be unaffected by these changes.

We hope that these changes will help improve Flag Mode for Racers of all skill levels. There's more coming with the August 9 (PT) Mid-Season 3 Update, and keep an eye out for the Patch Notes coming soon!

Attention Racers,

In the wake of the hitbox error that was discovered with the Rhinoceros Beetle Kart, we went back and checked over every kart to ensure that the kart's models and hitboxes were properly aligned. Unfortunately, a number of Karts were found to have a similar discrepancy, whether the kart's hitbox was larger or smaller than its in-game model. With the August 9 (PT) Mid-Season 3 Update, we will be updating the hitboxes of some karts to more closely match their in-game models. These changes will come in one of two forms:

The following karts had a hitbox that was smaller than their in-game model, and the hitbox will be increased to compensate for this.

We sincerely apologize for this error, and understand that correcting this error may affect your racing performance. As such, we will be resetting the upgrade status of these karts and refunding the Lucci spent on upgrading them during the August 9 (PT) Maintenance.

The images of the karts below indicate the Before (left) and After (right) status of the hitboxes (the purple overlay over the karts). Please note that in-game models have not been changed with this update.

Event Details:

• Race in KartRider: Drift during the designated Hot Times for bonus Lucci and Ranking Points with each race!
• Hot Time Periods:
  • Period 1: 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM UTC (8:00 PM - 10:00 PM PDT / 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM CEST / 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM JST / 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM AEST)
  • Period 2: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM UTC (3:00 AM - 5:00 AM PDT / 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CEST / 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM JST / 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM AEST)
  • Period 3: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM UTC (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM CEST / 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM JST / 4:00 AM - 6:00 AM AEST)
• Racing during Hot Time periods on Monday through Friday (UTC) will reward an additional 30 Lucci and 5 RP with each race!
• Racing during Hot Time periods on Saturday and Sunday (UTC) will reward an additional 50 Lucci and 10 RP with each race!
• Note: Bonus rewards are determined by the day of the week in UTC.
