Update 1.4.4g

Hello, crusaders!

Update 1.4.4g is here! Now, when you start the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC, you will see an option to disable the Sink or Swim Mode. This is how we decided to name the Last Azlanti-like mode, where you can use the Abyssal anchors to make a save. If you want to save any time or to have as many saves as you want, please disable this option. We’ve also fixed the issue with the turn-based mode getting stuck.

If you are playing with mods, don’t forget to update them before loading your saves!

Quests
  • After finishing the 3rd DLC in the integration mode, the quest was still active in the journal – fixed;
  • Your companions now arrive faster when you and Greybor confront Horzalah during his personal quest.


Areas
  • A mimic trader could appear on the ship earlier than it was supposed to – fixed;
  • Fixed a trap in the 3rd DLC integration mode to make it more comfortable to disarm;
  • Fixed an entry and an exit point on one of the 3rd DLC islands;
  • Fixed the lighting in the Scrubland by a Bend in the River;
  • Various fixed for the traps in the 3rd DLC;
  • Now it's possible to teleport to a balcony in the Alushinyrra house you visit during Woljif's quest.


Items
  • Robe of False Death used the wrong equipment slot (an armor slot instead of the shirt slot) – fixed;
  • Shadow bosses in the 3rd DLC now drop unique items instead of money.


Classes & Mechanics
  • Fixed the interaction of Boundless Healing with some spells;
  • It was possible to deal infinite amount of damage to your enemies, combining some items and abilities, such as Aspect of the Asp and Treacherous Flame – fixed;
  • Very strong versions of Elemental Pillars spawned on low tier Islands with Elemental Undertow. Resolution: the difficulty of Elemental Pillars now scales depending on the tier.


Visual
  • Fixed fog of war in the 3rd DLC dungeons, which obscured the view at the end of the stairs;
  • Fixed the way characters were holding Cold Iron Masterwork Heavy Mace.


Misс
  • Fixed the crash when trying to enter a specific island in the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC;
  • In some rare cases, Daeran simply refused to die – fixed;
  • In the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC, the Helmsman never cleared the deck from the dead bodies, even after inviting a new party on board – fixed, now he throws the bodies into Ishiar;
  • Skeletal Salesman now properly updates his assortment of goods;
  • Skipping a cutscene is no longer possible during Aeon's return into the past of Kenabres, as it was breaking the quest;
  • The party will be getting the XP for disarming traps in the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC now;
  • We've discovered that one of the overseer in charge of feeding our elite undead enemies in the 3rd DLC was feeding them too well, and they became too strong. Now that he has joined his former pets, we're happy to report that our undead fight like they were supposed to;
  • Wenduag's romance could sometimes break at the scene in the tavern – fixed;
  • When creating a new Monk companion in the 3rd DLC, they could appear underground and with a broken model – fixed;
  • Fixed the issue with the end of the turn taking too long in turn-based mode.

Update 1.4.3l

Hello, crusaders!

We’ve prepared a hot-fix 1.4.3l (1.4.4d for macOS) with some very important changes:
  • Firstly, we’ve fixed the issue with Chinese font. We apologize to our Chinese players for the inconvenience, and we are working on a plan to prevent such issues from happening in the future;
  • Secondly, we’ve listened to your feedback regarding the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC, and you’ve provided some very convincing arguments why the Last Azlanti mode should be optional. So, if you start a new game in the rogue-like mode, you can opt out of Last Azlanti, and have multiple saves. However, please keep in mind that to get a tailwind for the next party, you still need to let your current party perish. More changes for the DLC are planned in the next updates.
  • We’ve also fixed a snowy island in the rogue-like mode that could cause the game to crash, so if you encountered this issue, you can continue playing now.

Update 1.4.4c for macOS

Hello, crusaders!

Today we finally have good news for those who play on macOS! The new 1.4.4c update fixes the issues we have previously mentioned in Windows updates, and allows you to play The Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC.

We apologize we couldn’t upload this patch sooner, we will do our best to avoid such delays in the future.

If you play on Windows, please keep in mind that this update is only available for macOS, and contains the changes you already have. The version of the game won’t change for you!

The Midnight Isles Challenge starts now!

Ahoy, captains!

The Midnight Isles Challenge begins! Anyone willing to participate may do so by following this set of simple rules:

  1. Pick one of 5 difficulty levels: Normal, Daring, Core, Hard, Unfair and activate the Last Azlanti mode (don't worry, you can still load the game at checkpoints with this mode!)


  2. Play DLC3: The Treasure of the Midnight Isles in Roguelike mode, recording or streaming the whole playthrough.

  3. Defeat all the main bosses of the DLC or as many as you can manage by September 18, 23:59 CEST, and make screenshots of all the score screens you see in the game (the ones that feature the number of attempts, damage stats etc.)

  4. Fill in this registration form and send it before September 18, 23:59 CEST.

  5. Five champions, one for each level of difficulty, who killed the most bosses with the lowest number of attempts in the shortest time, will get their names highlighted in our social media and receive Season Pass 2 keys the moment they become available!


Important notes:
  • Your game must be free of any mods.
  • You may freely retrain your characters if the difficulty level allows it.
  • Both RtwP and TBM can be used in any combination.
  • You may freely use any builds, classes and Mythic Paths.

Update 1.4.3k

Hello, crusaders!

A new update, 1.4.3k has arrived! We’ve fixed the cutscene with Thall the Wallflower and the inquisitors, some issues with the 3rd DLC islands; prices, and the assortment of abyssal merchants, and some mechanical bugs as well.

Please keep in mind that a new update can potentially break your mode, but 1.3.7 version is still available in the beta branch!

We would like to apologize to those who play on macOS. We are still working to resolve the critical issue which prevents you from playing the new DLC. We are very sorry it’s taking so much time to fix this problem, and we are promising to let you know as soon as the update is ready! Thank you for your patience.

Quests
  • Brodie could still turn into a ghoul, despite the complete quest with his cure – fixed;
  • Nocticula could turn hostile even when the Trickster sided with her – fixed;
  • Now it's possible to watch the book events in the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC more than once;
  • The Inquisition no longer makes you wait for their arrival when you are talking to Thall the Wallflower, the Desnan mage.


Areas
  • Added loot containers after the death of shadow bosses in the 3rd DLC. Added portal to exit the area after the battle;
  • Fixed an issue with the navigation in Mutasafen's Laboratory;
  • Fixed a number of traps on the Midnight Isles;
  • Fixed one of the portals in the Middle City of Alushinyrra, and it will no longer break your party.


Crusade
  • Lann could participate in the crusade council meetings during chapter 5 from behind the zone borders – fixed.


Classes & Mechanics
  • Fixed incorrect stacking of similar bonuses to Armor Class and saving throws;
  • Fixed some armor class bonuses;
  • Fixed the spellbook progression when the Dark Rites are used;
  • Legend was available on the 3rd mythic level in the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC, instead of the 8th mythic level – fixed, now it works similarly to the main game;
  • Now, animal companions also get the black spot effect;
  • Scald's bonus feat now has access to all metamagic;
  • Tailwind got removed after retraining the character – fixed;
  • Tailwind of Fists provided additional slashing damage, instead of bludgeoning damage – fixed;
  • True Strike didn't work correctly after an attack with a spell – fixed.



Turn-based mode
  • Fixed the Dweomer Leap ability in turn based mode.


UI
  • Fixed a number of icons.


Visual
  • Fixed fog of war in the 3rd DLC dungeons, which obscured the view at the end of the stairs.


Misс
  • During one of the dialogues on the path of Swarm That Walks, some Deskari lines were attributed to his Echo – fixed;
  • Fixed a bug in the dialogue with Venture-Captain Gristoff, in case of Hilor's death in chapter 5;
  • Hunting season is open! Now, all types of triceratops can also be skinned;
  • Kitsune in human form disappeared on area transition – fixed;
  • We have reworked the cost of the rods in accordance with the wishes of the merchant's guild – now the cheap ones are a little cheaper, and the expensive ones have become more expensive!
  • Fixed damage bonus calculation when Fighter's Finesse is used with Weapon Finesse (Mythic);
  • The Skeletal Salesman got in trouble with Alushinyrra tax collectors, and his basic assortment was reduced in quantity. However, he managed to conceal his true volume of goods—which means that rare and unique things remain available in full;
  • After finishing the Treasure of the Midnight Isles in the main campaign, the incorrect ending was shown – fixed.
