Worms Rumble News

Hey everyone!

We continue to be over the moon with the reception to Worms Rumble! Thanks to everyone who has picked it up so far and we hope you are having a blast! Here's another bunch of fixes based on some of the most reported and requested changes for the community. You can also see the patch from a couple of days ago which rebalanced weapons and reduced the load wait time here:

Main Crash Fix

We have had heaps of reports from players who selected 'close and submit' when they crashed, and from these we have a fix for the issue that was effecting the vast majority of players at the start of matches. Thanks again for all of your reports and we hope all of the people effected will have an even better time in Worms Rumble!

Firing Backwards Fix

We also have a fix for Worm aim direction desync which had caused players to fire backwards. Sorry for this quirk and hopefully all of your shots will now go where you're aiming!

Achievement Fixes

• Fix for Win Last Worm Standing trophy not being unlocked
  
• Fix for Win Deathmatch trophy not being unlocked
  
• Fix for Top 50 and Complete a match trophies not being unlocked correctly in Last Worm Standing and Last Squad standing gamemodes.
  

Other fixes

Fix a few rewards not unlocking properly:

• Black & Gold crown is now correctly a reward instead of a level 48 unlock
  
• Nuclear hoodie is now correctly a reward instead of a level 48 unlock
  
• Ananas lids 10 gallon hat is now correctly a reward instead of a level 48 unlock
  
• Galvanized Steel Worm skin is now correctly unlocked at level 50
  

We're still looking into a few of the other highly reported issues and requests and there will be more frequent patches... on top of that we have some new content coming soon. Can you guess what it is?

Hey everyone!

Worms Rumble landed on Steam yesterday and we were thrilled to see so many playing the game! We've had some amazing feedback so far, and have a patch based on your suggestions alongside our observations so far. This update does not require an update and should automatically update whilst you are in-game.


Revolver time between shots decreased from 0.25 to 0.2
Assault Rifle repeat fire time reduced from 0.2 to 0.15
Shotgun time between shots decreased from 0.75 to 0.65


Sheep Launcher reload time reduced from 1.0 to 0.8


Rocket Shield reload time reduced from 1.5 to 1.2
Rocket Shield fly time increased from 0.75 to 1.0



These changes follow nerfs made after beta feedback and have now been buffed slightly based on everyone's thoughts so far. Please let us know your thoughts on these weapons now, if they are too strong, too weak still or just right!




Match load time reduction

We have significantly reduced the wait times into a match, before even if everyone had connected it would wait 60 seconds total, this is now 20 seconds a third of the time spent in the loading screen as people get into the match. We hope this will make getting into new matches much snappier!



We continue to work on fixes for other issues reported by the community, please if you come across a crash use the 'submit and close' button to report them directly to us and also you can report any other issues to our support team in the report a problem section of our Steam forums.

Worms Rumble has just landed here on Steam and is available to purchase, download and play! Don your jet pack and thrust yourself into the first ever real time Worms game! Take on epic 32 player battle royale or deathmatch modes right now! Plus get into the action quickly with matches with crossplay with other platforms.

Here's some of the action you can expect of Worms Rumble:

[h3]3 Modes[/h3]

Take on the battle royale mode in Last Worm Standing or with 2 friends in the Squads mode. If that's not your cup of tea you can roll into the death match mode and hone your skills whilst respawning straight back into the action if you stand too close to a blossoming banana bomb.



[h3]32 player transforming maps[/h3]

As of launch there are 3 maps designed full of funny references, iconic landmarks and strategic areas to get the upper hand on opponents. The maps can also have the chance to transform mid way through the battle with missile launches and even portals opening to shake up the match.



[h3]Equip a whole host of powerful classic and new weaponry![/h3]

Wield classic weaponry from the Worms series, like the devastating holy hand grenade and also equip yourself with completely new guns like the projectile bouncing plasma launcher.



[h3]Customise your worm to the max[/h3]

Don't look like a basic worm... well actually you can but if you want to really get ahead on the worm walkway then there's so many options open to you! Felt like a dinosaur on the outside but on the inside you were worm... don't worry we've got the outfit for that! Plus, match many accessories to get a completely custom look. You will get xp in the matches to unlock new tiers of outfits and customisations to how you are presented in the game!



[h3]Don't wriggle around the maps[/h3]

In Worms Rumble, movement is key! Roll around the map to speed up and also scale walls with extra jumps but be careful as you'll need to carefully manage your stamina! Also, find classic equipment to give you an extra edge like the jetpack and utility belt which can take you to the skies!



[h3]Come up with unique ways to play and gain the edge[/h3]

Come up with unique tactics to gain the edge on your enemies whether that be returning a foes rocket with your baseball bat or shielding a teammate to be revived and become the 'Last Worm Standing'

Hey Worms!

There's less than a week until we launch Worms Rumble on December 1st straight onto your home computers!
