It's Official !!

Hi Folks.

Yes, we've finally made it and are pleased to confirm that The Curse of Feldar Vale will officially release on August 30th.

We've really enjoyed making it and we hope it will be successful enough to launch the other titles that will follow on.

Mystery at Morgoth is well underway. We have already imported victorious parties from The Curse and they are now causing mayhem and whacking bad guys in the troubled region of Morgoth.

We've also started the storyboards for The Dark Tower which will conclude the trilogy. Watch out for both of these titles in 2022 if all goes to plan.

Jann and I thank you for your patience and support. As always, any and all feedback is welcome.

Good News and Bad News

Hi All.

Thought it was about time for another update in which we have some Good News and some Bad News.

First the Bad....we are going to have to delay the launch a bit as progress in the last few weeks has been more difficult than expected. Additionally, the link between The Curse and the next title Mystery at Morgoth (MaM) is proving a tad more complicated than expected. We have to ensure that when we launch The Curse that you will be able to export your party to MaM.

The slippage is going to push the launch too close to the Steam Summer Sale and all advice suggests that we should wait until after the sale to ensure decent visibility. Currently we are looking at some time in July for the re-scheduled launch. Apologies for the delay but obviously we want to make sure everything is right!

Now the Good....we have been able to implement a couple of extra suggestions from the Community.

- Options screens will now be easier to read.
- The party character profiles can now be cycled forward by using the TAB key.
- You can set the background color for each of your units separately.

We have also added:

- A new option to the Interface Options dialog to add some very basic Ambience Lighting to the battle scenes. This will hopefully add a touch more atmosphere to the battles as the day/night cycle transitions.
- Fifteen plus new portraits to choose when customizing your party.
- A new filter on the Choose Portrait Dialog to filter by gender.

All of the above changes will be available in the latest Demo Update V0.138 which we are releasing with this announcement.

By necessity we have had to make a start on MaM to prove the link between the two titles (which should also prove the link to the final title in the series The Dark Tower working title). We have already sketched out the storyboard for MaM, generated the interface and designed the maps for the first location. So if all goes to plan we will be launching MaM around November time (Steam page to go live soon) and The Dark Tower will be scheduled for a March 2022 release.

We also hope to improve the engine on each successive title by adding extra Options or Advanced Rules that will bring new features to the series (as well as new spells, new items and a shed-load of new monsters!)

Demo Update V0.136

Hi All.

The demo has been updated to Version 0.136 which adds a new Select Unit button on the Unit Profile dialog to enable faster navigation between your party members.



When you click the button you will see a new popup listing the whole party. Click on any member to jump straight to their profile.



We have also altered the Resting process slightly.

Normally your spellcasters can memorize new spells after they have rested for 8 hours and before you return to the battlefield by closing the Resting dialog (there is a Help button on the Resting dialog that explains the whole resting process).

Now however, once your party has returned to the battlefield, a spellcaster can still learn new spells before they move or act. If they perform either of these actions they are no longer 'rested' and so cannot learn new spells until the party has made camp again.

Demo Update V0.132

Hi Folks.

The demo has been updated to Version 0.132 which extends the exploration at Darrett's Farm. Generally we have experienced a 15-25% increase in the demo length based on what you do. If you have already played the demo, please note that to get the extra content, you will need to start a new adventure.

There is also a new Help button on the Unit Profile dialog which will open another multi-page dialog of helpful information about all the stats and features in the Unit Profile.

Demo Update Coming Soon...

Hi All.

Just to let you know that we have made a few alterations to the demo to make it last a bit longer (hopefully about 25% longer!) We have also added some significant Help information to the Unit Profile dialog to explain all the attributes and capabilities of the units.

The update should be available in a day or two. Watch this space!
