Alpha branch update 0.8.03
Hello cultivators!
You have been waiting long enough for a new update to come! We’re eager to present all the changes the 0.8.03 version is introducing in your pretty farms.
Keep in mind that this is an alpha test phase, and you’ll only get the new content if you actively download it. But, before you do, read this warning:
❊Translation in development. The English and Japanese versions of certain missions and elements of the game are not ready yet but will be added before the content is available in the main version of the game.
[h2]New content[/h2]
- Main Quest Extended. Continue with the rebuilding process of the Guiyun Sect under the guidance of Brother Xie.
- Added new trade routes with Canghai City, Lingxi Island, Yaowang Palace, and Fullmoon Pass.
- Added 2 new mystic realms, Canghai Mystic Realm and Mingyue Mystic Realm. New monsters, recipes, fishing spots and collectables are waiting for you!
- Added two new types of rare spiritual plants.
- Added the new skill The Five Virtues: When placed in the blessed land array while growing rare spiritual plants, it will increase the yield of the surrounding crops that are currently in season and the elemental energy output of all the surrounding spiritual plants.
- Added a new clothing tab. Use it for changing your outfit and easily browsing all your clothing items.
- Added a new completed quests tab where you can check out the accomplished quests.
- Now you can forge the fishing pole into Epic Level. Using this epic equipment will allow you to catch legendary fish! But watch out, those legendary fish are hard to deal with… You have to focus on the QTE!
- Added new fish specimens that can be caught by using the normal fishing pole.
- New refinement recipes, including Space Ring and Blessed Farming Tool.
- Added a new tool for the Warehouse.
- Added new Elixirs recipes.
- You can now visit Yang Ziqin, Xie Wentian, Zuo Li and Lin Wanxi’s rooms in the sect headquarter.
[h2]Optimization[/h2]
- We redesigned the whole Quest of Song Yantong storyline. If you re-play it, you’ll find the following changes: a different way for triggering the quest and how it unfolds, and minor changes to the text lines.
- Redesigned the Spell menu.
- Replaced the spell Illumination with Spiritbinding (Temporary name). Killing monsters with this new spell will give you the chance of getting its Spirit Orb directly. At the same time, Yang will no longer create Spirt Orbs for you.
- Redesigned the Paper Crane menu. Now you’ll be able to preview the content before opening the Paper Cranes.
- When chit chatting with NPCs, you’ll be able to see whether you’ve given them gifts that day or not.
- Optimised game logic on production tools and cooking to obtain high-quality items. When all input materials reach a certain star level, the output product will be of the same level or higher (Non-star items are not counted).
- Added portals on the middle floor of the Yuhua Mystic Realm, Flower Mystic Realm, and Blazing Sands Mystic Realm. You can now use them to jump directly into the middle floor instead of starting from the beginning.
- Now you can change the form of the pet from Lvl 3 to Lvl 2.
- Added new art design for Zuo Li and Lin Wanxi for the Banquet Table system.
[h2]Bug fixed[/h2]
- Fixed a bug when getting Water Orb from Wandering Vendor.
- Fixed a bug that would place a wrong 3D model of the main protagonist.
- Fixed a bug that would crash the game after repairing the Misty Valley Terrace.
[h2]HOW TO JOIN THE ALPHA BRANCH OF IMMORTAL LIFE [/h2]
[h3]Step 1: For your safety, start backing up your save files! [/h3]
This is the most important step as the files of the Alpha branch that will be saved in your Cloud storage will replace those you saved locally, damaging them permanently in the process. To prevent this, disable the Cloud Saving feature and visit the following path to copy the folder with your local saves to another safe location in your computer. Don’t switch to the Alpha test before taking this step.
Save Path: [Steam Library Path]/common/一方灵田/SavesDir/[A folder with numbers in its name]
[h3]Step 2: Switch the branch from your Steam library [/h3]
- Right-click Immortal Life in your Steam Library.
- Choose Properties…
- Choose BETAS tab in the Properties menu.
- Enter the code, zhongtian2022 and click Check Code.
- Click the select button and choose alpha – alpha test to activate the new branch.
- You want to switch back? No problem, click the drop-down menu again and choose none – it will take you back to the Default branch.
