NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Weekly FAQ – 9/8

Dear Forerunners,

Starting this week, we’re running a weekly FAQ, where we will look to answer our community’s most frequently asked questions; we’ll also offer updates on the continued development of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. We’re doing this because we want to create a more open line of communication between us (the developers) and you (the players).

Q1: How is 24 Entertainment handling teaming, hacking and other forms of unfair play?

Keeping NARAKA fair for everyone is absolutely one of our top priorities. We take reports of teaming, hacking and other forms of unfair play very seriously. Last week, we launched a new feature on our website where players can report suspicious activity by uploading video clips and images.

To reward players that help us keep NARAKA fair for everyone, we have started a rewards program where players can earn chests and even a Legendary Spear Skin: [Righteous Polearm] for successfully reporting hacking and teaming players.

It has also come to our attention that a large community of players has actively been teaming in ranked games. Now that individuals have been correctly identified, we’ve begun handing out 72-hour bans. Players who have committed teaming offenses multiple times will face bans from official tournaments and even permanent account suspensions. Over 1300 players have received bans to date; we will continue to operate a zero-tolerance policy for unfair play.

Our team will look at every piece of evidence submitted and continually validate your reports.
In order to help us do this, it’s vital that the video reports you submit are complete and long enough in order for us to make a correct and comprehensive judgment (this is a great example).

Q2: What are the plans for future NARAKA content?

We’re currently working on a lot of cool new features, however, we’re not fully ready to show all of it just yet. Currently, we’re hard at work on the PS5 version of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and controller optimization. More information on the release window will come soon.

Our work on a new game mode and a new map is ongoing, we will keep you updated on our progress. Furthermore, the Vietnamese localization will be available on September 16, with more localized versions coming soon. We’re also continuing to update the game with balance and performance optimization patches.

We plan to provide more new content which includes characters, skins and possibly weapons during each 3-month-long season. Season 1 will end on November 11 — when season 2 begins, more heroes will be joining the battle on Morus Island.

Speaking about new heroes - next weekend, a new female hero will join the NARAKA roster! Keep your eye out for some great teasers and gameplay footage. This new hero has mastered the power of the ocean! What do you think her skills will look like?

Naraka: Bladepoint review

I didn't take Naraka: Bladepoint seriously at first, and it didn't give me many reasons to. In its tutorial, the melee-focused battle royale game teaches you to combo by clicking repeatedly—no problem, I love clicking—and then introduces its weird countering system without really explaining it. After that, it sneakily matches you against bots for your first game. The bots behave like mosquitos whose brains were recently transplanted into human bodies, and even with our Australian player glued to the ground by lag, we won our first trios match easily...

Possible new Naraka: Bladepoint characters appear in digital art book

handful of new Naraka: Bladepoint characters have seemingly been revealed, pointing to potential new fighting styles you'll be able to use in the sword-swinging melee battle royale. Users on the Naraka: Bladepoint subreddit posted a number of images from the game's official digital art book, which only came with the ultimate edition, giving a glimpse at concept art that shows off characters we've yet to see in-game...
