NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Update – June 23rd , 2022

Dear players,
The servers of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT will be suspended for maintenance from 06/22/20 23:00 (UTC) to 06/23/2022 03:00 (UTC). We suggest that you log out in advance and enter the game again after the maintenance.
The details of the update are as follows
Brand-new content!
I. Brand-new weapon: Dual Blades

Autumn flows on like surging waves, as warriors slice through foes like willow leaves dancing upon water.
The new weapon Dual Blades will be available. Come and try it out for yourself!

II. Omni's Nightmare is back once again.
1. Choose your Faction
You can choose your preferred Faction before each match, influencing who is assigned to each side.
2. In-game Content
1) Spirit Echoes: Heroes can now gain up to two passive buffs in the form of Spirit Echoes. These include 'Golden Rattan', 'Light's Rage', 'Lethal Armor', 'Copper Ward', 'Explosive Shot' and 'Beckon'. Evil-Ents may choose two from 'Hook Axe', 'Enrage', 'Split Axe', 'Eagle Vision', 'Miasma Rattan' and 'Eternal' to replace their default skills, ultimates or moves. (Check the Narakapedia for details.)
2) Check Faction info for the current match and allocate your Spirit Echoes during preparation.
3) Rattan is found around the map, but only grows near Soul Lanterns. Evil-Ents can damage Soul Lanterns to remove the Rattan, yet heroes can repair the Soul Lanterns in turn, allowing Rattan to respawn once more. Once all Rattan near Soul Lanterns have been taken, some respawn every 4 sec (or immediately when a Soul Lantern is repaired) until the respawn cap is reached.
4) Heroes now have gold Focus during the last second they submit Rattan.
5) Soul Lanterns can be repaired by multiple players at once, speeding up their repairs.
6) Ballista spawn at random spots along the tracks. Heroes must spend 10,000 Dark Tide Coins to unlock them before they can be used, however.
7) Once the match has been underway for a set time, heroes will no longer be able to Rebirth. However, Evil-Ents will also drop more Rattan when defeated.
8) The 'Nearby chat' voice channel has now been replaced with 'Faction chat'. Team chat has been added for those players who join the match as a party. Toggle Open Mic or switch voice channels in Settings - Audio.
9) Improved the sorting of Rift Dealers' items.
10) Improved the balance between Heroes and Evil-Ents in Omni's Nightmare:
i. Lowered Evil-Ents' base attack, while increasing their attack gained with each level.
ii. Changed randomly-spawned Soul Sparks' initial progress to 34%
iii. Now 2 Rattans will be dropped when Heroes defeat the Evil-Ents. When Heroes’ Rebirths have been deducted, the dropping amount will be 5.
3. Game Settlement
1) Once the match ends, you're shown a settlement page including the winning faction's top 3 players.
2)The match stats interface has been completely overhauled: it now includes the heroes selected, specific mode achievements, and more.

III. New Event: [Double-Edged]
Event Time: 06/22/2022 update – 07/01/2022 20: 00 (UTC)
Event Rules:
Gain Whetstones by completing quests during the event. Whetstones can be redeemed for great event rewards.

IV. New Event [Sunwing Solstice]
The world bristles with Yang energies as the Summer Solstice arrives.
It's unknown when it first appeared, but out on Morus Isle, there stands a Solstice Altar.
A most peculiar sensation, as if one's inner Yang energies were reaching out toward the altar, overcame all heroes who approached its location.
And once the Solstice Altar was activated, Plumes were found scattered across Morus Isle.
The people came to realize that, once taken to Sunwing's Rest, these Plumes were absorbed into the air around them. Not only that, however. Sunwing's Rest itself began to change slowly as it absorbed them...
Event Time: 06/28/2022 20: 00 (UTC) – 07/13/2022 20: 00 (UTC)
Event Rules:
1. Gain [Plumes] and [Event Points] by completing quests during the event.
2. During match preparation stages, players must gather their efforts to activate the altar upon the center of Origin Island. Having done so, they'll receive [Plumes] upon opening gold or green Troves. Up to 10 [Plumes] can be obtained from matches per day (this excludes those from Omni's Nightmare and Bloodsport).
3. Submit Plumes to gain event points. You gain 10 points for each.
4. A [Summer Solstice Gift] is awarded for every 20 [Plumes] submitted.
5. Event rewards are granted once players reach a set score total. The point maximum is 3,000, granting all event rewards once reached.
6. Every [Plume] submitted increases the Total Points figure by 1, and once it reaches its maximum, all players will be rewarded 1 [Fortune Treasure].
*Note: Remember to claim your rewards before the event ends, or you'll miss out.

V. Map Updates
The winds of change continue to blow, and dark undercurrents sweep Sunwing's Rest.

Hero Adjustments
//Dev Note: In the month-and-a-bit since the Ordeal season began, we've been hard at work analyzing NARAKA's ever-growing game data. We've also received loads of great player feedback—thanks again for your continued support!
Our analysis showed us that the hero skills and ultimates are dealing more damage in battle than we'd anticipated, meaning combat would often be over in a flash. We don't want teams wiped out just because a player unleashed their skill/ultimate at an inopportune time. Yet simultaneously, we don't want players' hard work and advantages to be for nothing just because we've changed up a strategy.
With this in mind, we've adjusted skill and ultimate damage for most heroes. We hope this will serve to improve the strategic environment in-game, and also that it'll give rise to new and exciting lineups and battle strategies too.

Ⅰ. Yoto Hime
1. Adjusted her ultimate [Ominous Blade] and all its variations. The basic Damage Multiplier of its slashes was reduced from 4.5 to 2.6 for the 1st slash, 3.2 for the 2nd slash, and 3.8 for the 3rd slash.
2. Adjusted extra slashes of her ultimate [Ominous Blade: Combo]. The Damage Multiplier was reduced from 2.25 to 1.6.
//Dev Note: After recent adjustments to the mechanism of Yoto Hime's ultimate, the hit rate of its slashes has been improved. To balance the Hero, we adjusted the Damage Multiplier slightly.

Ⅱ. Matari
1. Increased the single moving distance of her Skill [Silent Flutter: Rapid Flash] from 6m to 9m.
2. Added a new mechanism to her ultimate [Unseen Wings] and all its Talents. Now when Matari is in stealth, [Silent Flutter]'s CD will be reduced and the moving distance will be increased and be with the [Backstab] status.
[Backstab]: An enemy within the range of [Silent Flutter] in front of Matari will be locked. When the enemy is locked, Matari can use [Silent Flutter] to teleport to the target's back and launch a special attack.
3. Reduced max rage needed to cast her ultimate [Unseen Wings] and all its variations by 20%.
//Dev Note: Before these adjustments, Matari's ultimate [Unseen Wings] could increase her fighting capacity in open battles only to a limited extent without effective deterrence. Therefore, we added the [Backstab] mechanism to improve her offensive capability and give her a competitive edge after casting the ultimate.

III. Takeda Nobutada
1. [Demonic Strike]’s base Damage Multiplier during [Demonic Aid] has been reduced from 0.5*2 to 0.4*2, and [Airborne Strike] base Damage Multiplier reduced from 1*2 + 1.5 to 0.5*2 + 1.5.
2. Ultimate: [Demonic Aid: Teleport]
1) [Demonic Aid: Teleport] attacks no longer grant the user Rage.
2) [Demonic Aid: Teleport] base Damage Multiplier has been reduced from 1.5 + 0.5*6 + 3 to 1 + 0.3*6 + 2.2.
3) [Demonic Aid: Teleport] attacks now restore the attacker's health by 30% of the damage dealt.

IV. Tianhai
1. Tianhai's ultimate [Titan's Call] and all its variations' base Damage Multiplier have been changed.
1) Skills' base Damage Multiplier (when Tianhai hasn't grabbed an enemy) has been reduced from 4.28 to 3.75.
2) Skills' base Damage Multiplier (when Tianhai's got a single enemy in his grasp) has been reduced from 4.28 to 3.75.
3) Skills' base Damage Multiplier (when Tianhai's got two enemies in his grasp) has been reduced from 12.5 to 10.
2. Tianhai's ultimate [Titan's Call] and all its variations’ base Health and Armor Conversion Multiplier have been changed.
1) In Solos, Tianhai's base Health while in Vajra form has been increased from 1,900 to 2,300 and his Armor Conversion Multiplier from 0.6 to 0.8.
2) In Duos, Tianhai's Armor Conversion Multiplier while in Vajra form has been increased from 0.8 to 0.9.

V. Yueshan
Yueshan's ultimate [Troop Decimation] and all its variations' base Damage Multiplier have been changed.
1. [Leaping Slash] 's base Damage Multiplier has been reduced from 0.34 + 1.66 * 2 to 0.26 + 1.29 * 2.
2. [Dragontail] 's base Damage Multiplier has been reduced from 7.34 to 6.52.

VI. Valda Cui
The Damage Multiplier of Valda Cui’s water spears in her ultimate [Nether Nightmare] has been reduced from 1.5 + 3.2 to 1.2 + 2.5.

VII. Tarka Ji
1. The Burn damage inflicted by Tarka Ji's skills and ultimate has been reduced from 4% to 2% of the enemy's Health per second. Burn duration remains the same.
2. Tarka Ji now expends 9% instead of 7% Rage to cast [Inner Fire: Gigaflame] while [Blackout: Vulcan] is in effect.

VIII. Justina Gu
1. [Shadowswipe] 's base Damage Multiplier has been reduced from 0.5 to 0.1.
2. [Shadowswipe·Blizzard] 's base Damage Multiplier has been reduced from 0.5 to 0.1.
3. [Arctic Wraith·Frostwind] 's sword energy base Damage Multiplier has been reduced from 1 to 0.1.
4. Enemies frozen by any [Arctic Wraith] and all its variations are now frozen for 1.6 sec instead of 2 sec.

Weapon Adjustments
Ⅰ. Nunchucks
1. Changed the Biding Fury consumed by Horizontal Block from one stack to two stacks.
2. Reduced the damage reduction ratio while triggering Horizontal Block from 80% to 50%.
3. You now can get into the golden Focus after the second strike of Dragon Flurry.

Ⅱ. Unarmed
Slightly reduced the stagger time caused by airborne vertical strikes to enemies falling down while in unarmed status.

Souljade Adjustments
Ⅰ. Dual Blades Souljades
1. Added a new Souljade [Universe Slash], which changes the second stage of charged vertical strikes.
2. Added a new Souljade [Cavalry Bloom], which changes charged horizontal strikes.
3. Added a new Souljade [Splitter], which changes the third stage of horizontal strikes.

Ⅱ. Dagger Souljades
The first stage of Dagger Skill [Pride's Fall]'s attack will break the [Freeze] status of enemies being hit.

Ⅲ. Nunchucks Souljades
Reduced the Damage Multiplier of Skill [Dragon Roar]:
Reduced the Damage Multiplier of the first stage of its attack from 0.57*8 to 0.5*8;
Reduced the Damage Multiplier of the second stage of its attack from 0.38*6 to 0.33*6;
Reduced the Damage Multiplier of the third stage of its attack from 0.75+1.51 to 0.67+1.33.

Ⅳ. Katana Souljades
Reduced the Damage Multiplier of Skill [Soul Slash] from 0.82*8 to 0.73*8;
Reduced the Damage Multiplier of Skill [Thunderstorm] from 0.81*5 to 0.68*5.

Ⅴ. Common Souljades
1) [Focus Slide] can no longer impose airborne effect on enemies falling down.
2) Under the stealth effect of [Phantom Step], no text indicators will be displayed.

In-game Adjustments
I. Controller Adjustments
1. Optimized the deadzone of the view while using joystick. Adjusted the default value to 16. Settings beyond this value will not be affected.
2. Optimized the experience of Ballista's [Aim] and [Shoot], which is now consistent with the operations of ranged weapons' [Aim with Scope] and [Shoot].
3. Optimized the interactive style of Training Ground Settings of the Free Training mode:
(1) Now players can open Training Ground Settings by tapping the map button instead of through the Radial Menu. (If you need to check the map of Training Ground, you can do it by opening the bag and switching the tab.)
(2) Now when Training Ground Settings is open, players can move and adjust the camera through two joysticks.
(3) Now when Training Ground Settings is open, players can toggle among options with the D-pads (up and down), and tap the round button (Xbox: A, PS: ×) to use. Original shortcut buttons were canceled.

Ⅱ. Combat Adjustments
Quick Counter: The character will no longer crouch after using Quick Counter while standing or dodging.

III. Mechanism Adjustments
1. Now Matari's ultimate will be affected within Forbidden Seals.
2. Reduced the number of Fireflies in the cave.

Out-game Adjustments
Ⅰ. Added in-game interaction of introduction to Narakapedia.
[Combat Items] and videos about all kinds of interactive events in the game were added to Narakapedia.

II. Hero Cultivation
Lowered the difficulty of Cultivation missions for all Heroes in the "Greater Understanding" phase.

Feature Optimization
Ⅰ. Client Optimization
1. Fixed the problem where players cannot select the spawn points or pick up items at the beginning of each match caused by slow resources loading in certain scenes.
2. Optimized the loading speed of characters' faces and hair in certain scenes.
3. Optimized the lagging caused by excessive loading of UI components in certain cases.
4. Optimized and reduced the loading data when launching the game for the first time, so that the game can start faster.
5. Due to the shader warmup's incompatibility with certain scenes, the feature will be turned off temporarily for further development and optimization. Meanwhile, we also optimized the loading strategy of the shader, which effectively reduced stuttering caused by loading.

Ⅱ. Matchmaking Optimization
Optimized the matchmaking rules. Now when players start a new mode or come back to a mode they haven't participated in for a long time, the system will estimate players' strength more accurately than before.

Ⅲ. Out-game Adjustments
Optimized the performance of the Stats Pentagon on the settlement page in solo mode. " Rescue" and "Fight" were removed, while "Kills" and "Damage" were added to align the Stats Pentagon more appropriately with the performance of solo players.

Ⅳ. In-game Adjustments
1. Added the Map Legend to the map page, which shows players the meaning of possible icons according to the current gameplay.
2. Now when players open the map in the preparation phase, they can control their characters' movement.

Setting Updates
Ⅰ. New volume adjustment feature for the out-game environment.
The "Ambience (Menus)" option was added to "Settings--Audio--All Sounds" to adjust the sound effect and volume in the Lobby.

Fortune Treasure sells for 360 Gold. When opening it, you will have a chance to get Takeda Nobutada's Extreme outfit [Arm of Malevolence], Dual Blades Extreme skin [Phoenix Plume] and other rewards.
Minimum Guarantee
1. Players are guaranteed to receive at least 1 Red (Extreme) reward during the process of opening at most 100 Treasures. This can be triggered multiple times.​
2. Red (Extreme) rewards will not be repeated until all of them have been obtained.

I. Hero-related Bugs
1. Fixed an issue where characters failed to be teleported by Wuchen's ultimate when interrupted by death, counter, etc.
2. Fixed an issue where the time required to hold the ultimate button was not consistent with the time displayed on the interface when canceling the [Yin Yang Orb] by Wuchen’s ultimate [Tai Chi Rift].
3. Fixed an issue where the frozen effect of Justina Gu's ultimate worked abnormally on targets bound by Valda Cui's Tide Traps.
4. Fixed an issue where Kurumi cannot link allies or Light Parasol while using skills in some special cases.

Hero Adjustments
I. Justina Gu
1. Justina Gu no longer gains rage when ice fog is active after casting ultimate [Arctic Wraith·Frostwind].
//Dev Note: Justina Gu casts [Arctic Wraith·Frostwind] more frequently than expected during a long-lasting battle, so we have limited her rage gains within some time after casting the ultimate.
2. Adjusted the initial skill [Ice Core]. It no longer negates physical strikes during the startup frames (0-1s), but Justina Gu gains a 70% damage reduction. After the startup frames, Justina Gu's physical immunity will resume. Other features of [Ice Core], such as active interruption, focus, restoration, etc., have not been adjusted.
//Dev Note: [Ice Core] used to have restoration capability and 5-sec physical immunity—way too overwhelming than the other two skills. The long duration of immunity can leave the opponent in an awkward predicament. Therefore, we have shortened the duration and granted damage reduction to Justina Gu to improve the combat experience for both parties.

II. Yueshan
1. Slightly adjusted Yueshan's startup frames (increased from 0.7s to 1.1s) when casting the ultimate.
//Dev Note: Even with extremely low remaining HP after taking heavy damage, Yueshan may still cast the ultimate, perform the transformation, and fully restore HP, which can be quite frustrating for the opponent. Also, Yueshan's transformation startup frames are way shorter than Tianhai's. As a result, we have increased Yueshan's transformation startup frames by 0.4s.

III. Wuchen
1. Adjusted the Focus level during the charging stage from golden to blue for [Spirit Blades] and [Spirit Blades·Shield].
//Dev Note: The maximum charging time of Wuchen's skills is relatively long. With golden focus, Wuchen can gain a huge advantage. Therefore, we adjusted the focus level to clarify these skills' roles.
2. Reduced Wuchen and allies' damage reduction from 90% to 70% when Wuchen uses ultimate [Tai Chi Rift] to teleport allies.
3. Increased the required rage limit by 25% (to be the same as most heroes) for unleashing ultimates [Tai Chi Rift] and [Tai Chi Rift·Switch].
//Dev Note: After casting [Tai Chi Rift], Wuchen recovers its rage a bit too fast. Therefore, we have raised the rage limit to slightly slow down his ultimate’s pace.

IV. Tianhai
1. Adjusted the counter rage of [The Divine Bell: Counter] from 0-0.7s to 0-1s. In another word, Tianhai can now counter during the whole process of casting [The Divine Bell: Counter]. A successful counter can be immediately followed by a Counterstrike Combo.
2. Tianhai can now cancel the Divine Bell by dodging, jumping, or crouching within 0.4s after casting [The Divine Bell: Counter] and [The Divine Bell: Blast]. And the clash stagger time has been extended from 0.8s to 1.1s.
3. [The Divine Bell: Blast] can now knock away enemies that are using a golden focus (weapon moves).

V. Viper Ning
1. Ultimate [Twilight Crimson: Unchained]'s ending strike can no longer be negated by dodging.

VI. Takeda
1. Increased the range of the first hit after the grab in [Mythic Grab] and [Mythic Grab·Defend] slightly, and they can now interrupt enemies in blue Focus.
2. [Mythic Grab] and [Mythic Grab·Defend] are no longer interruptable by weapon moves while Wuchen is grabbing a blade. Also, Takeda can perform assault moves more conveniently now after a grab.
3. Increased the catch range of [Mythic Grab·Defend].
4. Optimized the aiming performance by adding an aiming window to [Demonic Aid: Teleport] to show the aiming lock-on area.
5. Increased [Demonic Aid: Teleport]'s maximum aiming distance from 20m to 25m. Improved its strike range.
6. [Demonic Aid: Teleport]'s damage resistance of ultimate Focus will last till the final slash. And it won't be interrupted by wind pressure.

VII. Other Adjustments
1. Adjusted the duration of all heroes' ultimate canceling (holding) to 0.25s.

Weapon Adjustments
Ⅰ. Adjusted Damage Multiplier in Unarmed Status:
Vertical strike 1st stage Damage Multiplier: adjusted from 2.79 to 1.13
Horizontal strike 1st stage Damage Multiplier: adjusted from 2.32 to 1.12
Airborne Vertical strike stage Damage Multiplier: adjusted from 2.58 to 1.88
Sprint Horizontal strike Damage Multiplier: adjusted from 2.54 to 1.10
Crouch Horizontal strike Damage Multiplier: adjusted from 2.81 to 1.56
Sprint Vertical strike Damage Multiplier: adjusted from 2.07 to 1.13

II. Longsword
Added the second-stage to the charged attack.

Ⅲ. Greatsword
Optimized the range of the slide horizontal strike.

IV. Dagger
1. Slightly reduced startup frames and increased strike range for charged horizontal strike [Uppercut Rush].
2. Canceled Dagger Dash golden focus. Adjusted the invincible duration of Dagger Dash to the same as the dodge while using other weapons.
//Dev Note: Since the time of the golden Focus and the invincibility time of the Dagger Dash completely overlap, the golden Focus is actually not needed during the invincibility period. After the golden Focus is removed, the information expression will be more accurate.
3. Dagger Dash can no longer pass through the Tide Traps generated by [Haze].

Souljade Adjustments
I. Dagger
Added the Dagger Skill [Pride's Fall]: Added the second-stage move to Daggers' charged horizontal strike. And the final hit can recover yourself (65% of the damage values)

II. Ranged
Added [Switch·Dazzle]: Switching to a ranged weapon while carrying out a melee attack unleashes a special move (Morus' Blessing weapons excluded). The drop of [Switch·Bow] and [Switch·Cannon] will be paused. Their effects have been merged into the new souljade [Switch·Dazzle].
III. Special Souljade
While being attacked by [Starfall], you can no longer use Grappling Hooks. And the special camera will no longer be triggered.

IV. Souljade Performance
Optimized the notification effects for the completion of charging for Katana technique [Soul Slash], Greatsword technique [Earthshaker], and Nunchucks technique [Dragon Roar].

Match Adjustments
I. Controller Adjustments
1. Optimized the target-switching and lock-on canceling mechanic when the controller is in the lock-on status.
1) When locking on a target, push the right stick to switch target immediately.
2) If the right stick is pushed toward where there are no targets, the lock-on status will remain unchanged. Press the lock-on button again to cancel the lock-on.
2. Optimized map cursor interactions.

I. Shader Warmup

Adjustments to her ultimate [Ominous Blade] and all its variants:
1. Changed the fixed horizontal direction of slashes of Yoto Hime's ultimate Talents to the free aiming direction.
2. Players now are able to control the pace of Yoto Hime's consecutive slashes. Before every slash, Yoto Hime will adjust her mid-air status, during which you could press right mouse button to slash immediately. Otherwise she would slash automatically after the adjustment.
3. After casting her ultimate, Yoto Hime will first go into the [Demon Incarnate] status lasting for up to 3 sec, during which she is immune to grab and movement-restricted skills such as [Zephyr Prison] and [Dragon's Coil], etc. Slash can break the status at once.
//Dev Note: Because of the fixed pace and direction of slashes, Yoto Hime's ultimate [Ominous Blade] could be easily evaded by enemies through Dodge or the use of terrain differences to avoid the damage, which resulted in lower practical and deterrent effects of the ultimate than expected. Through the adjustments, players can now slash in free directions and control the pace after casting it, which will press the opponents more in confrontation.

II. Wuchen
1. Reduced the armor restored by every attack of [Spirit Blades·Shield] from 200 to 160.
2. Changed the teleport effect of his ultimate [Tai Chi Rift·Switch] to: Teleport up to 3 enemy units closest to the Aim center simultaneously. When multiple units are teleported, enemies will be separated. The stagger time of enemies after being teleported reduced from 0.5 sec to 0.35 sec. Offline messages are now supported in private chat. After signing in to the game, you can check your offline messages in the chat box. No more than 100 offline messages can be received. The number of stored offline messages will be reset after login. Messages that have not been checked for more than 30 days will be invalid.

Ⅲ. Reputation Score System Adjustments
1. More Reputation Scores will be deducted if players quit the current match when it's about to begin in 30 sec or less during the preparation phase of The Herald's Trial and quick match's Duos and Trios.
2. Adjusted the logic for judging whether there are vacancies in a team. Now when a team with few players starts the match without finding more teammates, the system will judge whether there are vacancies in the team based on the number of team members out of the match.

2. The Torch-carrier can enter the Torchbearer Event page through the link shared by the Torchbearer to claim a 6-hour free trial time and a 10% discount. When DLSS is turned on, you now can also adjust Render Scale and turn on Graphics Enhancement now. FPS will be improved greatly by reducing the render scale. You can also turn on NVIDIA graphics enhancements to reduce image quality loss.
Operation Guide:
 1) Turn on NVIDIA DLSS in "Settings-Graphics-Medium".

 2) Adjust Render Scale to an appropriate value as needed. The lower render scale is, the higher FPS will be.

Besides, when DLSS is on, you can still turn on NVIDIA Graphics Enhancement to improve image quality.

Ⅱ. Time-limited Event: [Shadowjade Mine Exploration]
Event Time: 04/28/2022 update – 05/10/2022 20:00 (UTC).
Event Info:
1. During the preparation phase of any match mode except Bloodsport, players can gain event item Spades by smashing the boxes scattered in the scene within the time limit.
All Gear Treasures and Souljade Treasures contain Spades. Each player can gain up to 5 Spades in every match and 10 Spades per day.
2. The [Shadowjade Mine Exploration] page in Event Center is the map of Shadowjade Mine. Spades can be used to unlock random sites on the map.
3. The map is divided into 7 areas, in which there are altogether 39 sites waiting to be unlocked. Players will receive corresponding event rewards after unlocking all sites in an area.
4. Participation in the Naraka+ crossover event [Shadowjade Mine Treasure Fight] will grant Shovels, which can be used to unlock a selected site on the map.

Ⅲ. Time-limited Free Trial

1. During the event, users who haven’t purchased NARAKA: BLADEPOINT can also play the game for free.
2. During the event, 6 heroes (Viper Ning, Temulch, Matari, Tarka Ji, Kurumi, and Tianhai) plus several modes (The Herald’s Trial, Omni’s Nightmare and Bloodsport, etc.) are available. Trial players will be matched against each other first.
3. Trial players cannot participate in the Torchbearer event, recharge or speak on public channels. Nor can they receive gifts or use such items as treasures and rename cards. But all of the data generated during the trial will be saved permanently. Trial accounts can be upgraded to official ones at any time by purchasing the game to gain full access to game features and benefits of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT.

Ⅰ. Temulch
1. Adjusted [Zephyr Prison] and all its variants to: Resist ranged attacks from enemies only. Besides, we distinguished the special effects of [Zephyr Prison] of all ultimate Talents between allies and enemies.
2. When hitting against [Zephyr Prison] from both allies and enemies, [Zephyr Wisp: Assault] will still bounce back. And if it hits the outside of [Zephyr Prison], enemies inside won’t be tracked.
//Dev Note: With the adjusted [Zephyr Prison], Temulch now can cooperate with allies’ ranged attacks, skills and even Grappling Hook more effectively. [Zephyr Prison] now is more helpful even in a solo fight.

Ⅱ. Justina Gu
1. Increased the initial skill Talent [Ice Core]’s CD from 25 sec to 28 sec.
2. Optimized the special effect of [Arctic Wraith·Frostwind]’s ice fog. Now the ice fog’s periphery is clearer.

Ⅲ. Matari
1. Reduced the max charging time of [Silent Flutter] from 1.5 sec to 1 sec.
2. Increased [Silent Flutter: Retrace Flash]’s CD from 25 sec to 30 sec.
3. Optimized the hit feel of [Silent Flutter] and all of its Talents. Now Matari can chain weapon strikes (including charged strikes) faster after teleporting, whether on the ground or in the air.
4. Adjusted her ultimate [Unseen Wings]. Now it can give all allies a stealth effect, with the duration reduced from 20 sec to 16 sec.
5. Adjusted her ultimate [Unseen Wings: Assassin]. Now it can give all allies a stealth effect, with the duration reduced from 15 sec to 14 sec. Besides, it now provides 50% Scale Rush buildup to all allies.
6. Changed her ultimate [Unseen Wings: Group Stealth] into [Unseen Wings: Smite]. Now it can give all allies a stealth effect lasting for 12 sec, and provide 50% Attack Healing to all allies.
//Dev Note: Due to Matari’s poor performance in a team fight, we hope to improve her team utility by making all of her ultimates team-effective. Meanwhile, we added the Talent "Attack Healing" to make Matari more aggressive. Adjustments to Matari’s skills could help her achieve this end too.

Ⅰ. New Default Controller Settings
1. Optimized the default button layout of the controller.
2. Added three controller presets with different styles. Players now can choose their preferred preset and customize the button layout.
1) Default: The preset is similar to the original Default 2. Players can use two triggers (Xbox: LT/RT, PS: L2/R2) to attack.
2) Shooter: Based on the Default preset, Jump is assigned to the left bumpers (Xbox: LB, PS: L1), which is convenient for players to look around while moving fast.
3) Warrior: The preset is similar to the original Default 1. Players can use the right bumper and the right trigger (Xbox: RB/RT, PS: R1/R2) to attack, and the left bumper (Xbox: LB, PS: L1) to counter.
4) Swordsman: Players can use two buttons (Xbox: X/Y, PS: □/△) to attack, and the right trigger (Xbox: RT, PS: R2) to shoot and counter.
3. The "Quick Counter" feature can now be assigned to custom buttons.
4. The features "Ranged Shoot" and "Aim" now can be assigned to custom buttons.
5. Pressing "LS/RS" (Xbox) or "L3/R3" (PS) now can be assigned to custom buttons.
6. The features "Pick up/Use", "Swap", "Discard" and "Mark/Hint/Request" when opening the bag now can be assigned to custom buttons.
7. Players now can remap "skills" with a single button, but "ultimates" still require the combination.
8. Adjusted "Pick up/Use" when opening the bag to the round button (Xbox: A, PS: ×), and "Swap" to the round button (Xbox: X, PS: □).
9. Temporarily canceled the controller vibration during the second-stage charging of Bow, or when the counterstrike succeeds, or the Health bar turns red.
10. Adjusted the mechanism of customizable buttons: Now, changes made in any default preset will be saved to a new button layout preset named "Custom ". Due to the collision with the original mechanism (Default 1 and Default 2 can be changed into a new "Custom" preset respectively), the original custom presets will no longer be maintained.

1. What’s the plan for NARAKA Esport in 2022

In summary, our Esport plan includes 3 parts:
Scrims, regional tournaments, and the World championship.
The purpose of running official scrims regularly is to provide more chances for players and teams to practice for competitive tournaments. The scrims play under the same rules as the World Championship. So if you've got the confidence, and wish to go further in the World Championship, we'd suggest you play more scrims!
Regional tournaments like the Morus Cup, Shadowjades Cup, or Celestra Cup will also return this summer.
And most importantly, the World Championship will be held at the end of 2022. We will disclose more information about the tournament in the near, including the prize pool, where it will be held, and how to earn your ticket to it.

We are also working with the local communities to run more community tournaments. Be sure you are following our official Twitter & Facebook to get updated.

**You may notice that we were streaming the China Mainland Open finals. A Vietnamese team, SH, advanced to the finals with relatively high pings. (Let's show them some support!)
