Progression System Implemented.

Hey All,

We have finally pushed the build that has the new progression system in it.
You will have to switch your build in the betas tab from 'testing' back to 'default'.

You will now have to spawn in as a "Starter" Dinosaur, and progress you way up through the "Level Up!" Menu.
Note: there is another button literally called "Progression", which is, ironically, NOT the menu you want; it will be removed soon.
Your level up screen can be accessed by pressing Esc or P, once you've opened it you can see your progression options as well as power/speed and temperature options.
Changing Power or Temperature stats will cost 2 pts each time.
Press the arrows up or down to increase power and decrease speed, or flip that on its head. Same with the Temperature system.

There are some issues with the build, just be sure to point them out to us as you discover them.

Patch Notes:
Maps:
Gondwana map now has biome with separate temperatures and weather.

New playables since Last default build:
- Deinonychus
- Deinocheirus

Thank you all for your continued support!

Testing Branch is Live!

Hi All,

It has been two long months since any major game update.
As much as I would love to have gotten this to you all earlier, and with fewer problems, I have decided that this testing branch will be for the best.
I have implemented several new features.

- Temperature System
- Biome System
- Rudimentary Progression System (Only available on carnosaurs)
- A Level Up system.

Furthermore, I have added multiple new species for the test branch.
All of which are playable, with the exception of the tiny Nanosaurus.

While I am glad to be able to push this update, I will remind you that this is a test branch, things will not all work properly. I will need players to send in bug reports about problems they experience.

Known Issues:
- The New Map, Pangea Major takes between 5-10 minutes to load on any machine it has been tested on. Unknown cause.
- Some Dinosaurs are still missing some features, let me know which one you come across, that still have problems eating and drinking.
- Rivers still don't work as a source of water (Try using lakes.)

Also, this is very important: The other two maps do not work in conjunction with the temperature system yet. Most dinosaurs will die on Gondwana and the test map. This branch is to help us transition to Pangea Major for the future of the entire game.

I will continuously update this branch to make it ready for pushing to the default branch.

Thanks for being so faithful and patient with us in this time, I appreciate y'all more than you can ever know,

- Lead Developer, Rev-ADB.

PS: Access the branch by right clicking on the game, and going to properties, Move over to the 'betas' tab, and then select 'testing' from the dropdown list.

Chapter One Begins

Welcome to Pangea Survival, Chapter 1.0

We thank you for purchasing this game, and hope you have lots of fun in the days, weeks, months, and years to come.
Since we are in early access, we are asking you to be paitent with any and all issues you discover in our game, and report them either via our Discord bug-reports channel or our Steam Discussions page.

Online gameplay is in an Alpha Stage, as such, multiplayer can be extremely unreliable at times. For example, respawning has consistently caused server crashes, so to avoid this, we made a server elimination system, that proceeds to remove players from the server on death. We hope that this measure is just a temporary work around.
Human gameplay online seems to be the most volatile, so be mindful of that.

Singleplayer gameplay is centered around dinosaur missions, and while only a couple of species (Epanterias and Majungasaurus) have rudimentary missions, we hope to add more in the very near future.

Please be sure to log issues, bugs, and recommend features/fixes for our future patches.

Thank you and have a lot of fun!

Delay is Not Forever

Hey All,

I know all of you were excited about the release. So, I will be frank: we will not be releasing Pangea Survival tomorrow.
A situation arose in our approval process that will set us back, at the very least, for a few days.

Furthermore, some of you might have noticed that when the release date became public, I made comments about not being sure it would release, but that we were working toward it; this happened because I had a mix up between the "Original Release Date" mentioned in the Steam process, and the actual release date on the store page. I had unintentionally set the public release date, when it wasn't ready to be revealed.

Naturally, once this happened, I wanted to correct the mistake, however resetting release dates on Steam, requires an separate approval process, and with only days to go, I decided to try to meet the goal first.
I'm letting you know this, because we weren't being overzealous in our release date, the public mention of the 20th was a mistake, that took too long to be corrected. The game is largely prepared for release, and is simplying facing some crash issues for multiplayer.

To ensure you all that we are working steadily on this, and that the full release will be packed full of content when it comes out, I will inform you as to what caused the failure in approval before release, and the status on these problems.

- LAN Servers not connecting (Fixed)
- A trailer with gameplay (Halfway Complete)
- Fixed Screenshots (In Progress)
- Making Vehicles more accessible for humans. (Fixed)
- Removing the in-game EULA (Fixed)

Additionaly, here are two more beautiful work in progress dinosaurs: Baryonyx and Ouranosaurus.

I genuinely apologize that I did not meet this date, and I am working hard to get this out as soon as possible, and the team is working hard to make more content for it upon release.
There are going to be things in the game, that no one has even seen before in prior demos (or in other games for that matter), so "Hold on to your butts", cause Pangea is inbound.
