Known Bugs for Kristala 0.1.1

The following is a list of known bugs and issues we're actively working on addressing in Kristala Version 0.1.1. Updates on these issues will be detailed in future patch notes.

 • The character is experiencing a load-delay in the Character Creation menu, resulting in some invisible areas showing before they load in.
 • The game has been presenting some issues for players with AMD video cards; we’re investigating this and will update you ASAP.
 • The performance still needs further optimization, particularly for cards below series 20’s. If you have one of these cards, the game may freeze/crash at times; we’re actively working on addressing this issue.
 • Players may fall through the terrain in some areas; this appears to be completely random, and we are actively investigating the issue to address it as soon as possible. To work around this issue, quit to the main menu and reload your game.
 • At times, enemies may fail to take damage if they're not yet engaged in combat.
 • Some enemies may appear to randomly glitch and “dance” during combat. Typically, continuing to attack the enemies will fix this issue.
 • Some of the input icons may appear incorrectly after you change them; this only affects the icons themselves - your changes will be retained.
 • NPC Zazagrul may appear floating or with half of her body underground.
 • Some enemies may appear underground but will focus on you as soon as they notice you.

We appreciate all the feedback and bug reports you've been submitting and welcome additional reporting and quality-of-life suggestions as we continue to refine and optimize the game. Thank you for your continued support.

Known Bugs for Kristala Version 0.1.0

Known bugs for Kristala 0.1.0

The following is a list of known bugs and issues we've pinpointed for Kristala Early Access Version 0.1.0 and are actively working on addressing. We'll share update notes once a new build has been pushed to the application.
General Bugs
• Some key enemies fail to spawn when they should (including bosses), preventing you from progressing. To work around this issue, quit to the main menu and reload your game. This will make those enemies show properly.

 • The game has been presenting some issues for players with AMD video cards; we’re investigating this and will update you ASAP.

 • The performance still needs further optimization, particularly for cards below 20’s series. If you have one of these cards, the game may freeze/crash at times. We’re actively working on addressing this issue.

 • Players and enemies may fall through the terrain in some areas; this appears to be completely random, and we are actively investigating the issue to address it as soon as possible. To work around this issue, quit to the main menu and reload your game.

 • When being attacked by enemies near walls, you may become stuck or accidentally pass through the walls.

 • At times, enemies will ignore your damage if they're not yet engaged in combat.

 • Some enemies may appear to “dance” rather than fight you. Typically, attacking the enemies again will fix this issue,
UI Bugs
• Navigation in the Spell Tree is currently not functioning as it should; at times, the button will lose focus and navigation won’t work properly. The only workaround for this is to momentarily use your mouse to refocus.

 • Photo mode has been presenting many bugs and is not working as it should. This should be addressed very soon.

 • The character is experiencing a load-delay in the Character Creation menu, resulting in some invisible areas showing before they load in.

 • Currently, the Voice options in the Character Creation Menu don’t play when selected; this will be addressed very soon.

EARLY ACCESS RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT: June 6th, 2024

An Announcement to Sink Your Claws Into

Kristala is officially pouncing into Early Access on June 6th! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your cat-loving acquaintances of all breeds – HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!

After teasing some more cinematic and story-based trailers in the past, we wanted this particular trailer to not only unveil our official EA launch date, but to seriously showcase some of the fast-paced combat and epic takedowns you’ll have at your disposal as you explore the dark-fantasy world of Ailur.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Meow that’s one cat-ass teaser, amirite?!😼⚔️
As a catlike warrior blessed with the titular gift of Kristala—the ability to communicate with the Sacred Six Kristals—you'll embark on a challenging journey to master Ailur's ancient magics while battling mutated enemies, ravenous hordes, and vengeful bosses.

Your goal? To join ranks with the famed Raksaka warriors while unraveling the mystery behind a fiendish curse that's mutated Ailur’s once-peaceful creatures into ferocious foes.

Something Feral This Way Comes…

So, what can you expect in the initial Early Access release on June 6th? We’re glad you asked!

Get ready to fully explore the abandoned villages and waterways of Dalamase, where rodent-like Kotakayan soldiers have invaded and established enemy camps across clan lands. Parkour your way across the game's first clan biome (home base for our nature-magic clan, the Nisargans) as you embark on the famed Raksaka Proving.

The game's souls-inspired combat (really, it’s more of a Sekiro-like than anything else—you can quote us on that) requires a well-timed combination of parries, blocks, weapon abilities, explosive spells—and, of course, the natural nimbleness that’s innately contained within each and every cat.

Annihilate a variety of cursed enemies, undead hordes (yes, you can call them ZOMCATS), and two challenging and fun bosses using a fierce arsenal of magic, weapons, traversal, and stealth. Annihilate your foes from above by landing badass aerial attacks and drain you enemies' balance to unleash punishing critical blows.

Customize your character's visual aesthetic using the first iteration of our Cat Character Customizer (complete with two body types, two fur lengths, and an assortment of fur colors/patterns and starting armor sets). Play as the chosen warrior from the either the Nisarga (nature-based eminence magic) or Myrtuna (malediction-based necromancy magic) clans.

This clan choice dictates the type of magic you'll level throughout the game via a branching spell tree rife with perks, and magic will be included as a part of every build regardless of your chosen Weapon Set (a Sword & Shield combo or set of Claw Enhancements for our initial EA release). Four more unique spell trees and a motley assortment of additional Weapon Sets are planned for full release.

Oh yeah! And if story and lore are your jam, you'll love the eccentric NPCs and unique quests that await you in Dalamase (how do you feel about eccentric alchemists with a penchant for riddles?)—plus an interesting array of story-related pickups and item descriptions to really get your lore-lovin' whiskers twitchin'.

It might look like Dark Souls with Cats, but we can assure you it's so much more than that. Unleash your inner cat warrior as Kristala prowls its way onto Steam Early Access in JUST ONE WEEK! 🙀

Come, Traveler...the Kristals are calling.

New RPG is Dark Souls but with cats, and it's on Steam real soon

Soulslike players have been eating well these last few years. Lords of the Fallen, Wo Long, Lies of P, Nioh, Mortal Shell, and Remnant 2 are just a few off the top of my head. That's without even accounting for the deluge of games that use soulslike elements and have the Steam tag. My point is that it's become difficult to be seen in the genre when the sea of soulslikes is constantly raging. So how do you stand above the rest? Well, the upcoming Kristala uses cats.
