[04/02] Update Preview

[Maintenance Notice for 7th Week of Early Access]

[Update Details]
1. New Collection ‘Name Card’ Updated
- Name Card changes the image of your name’s background in user info. Collect Name Cards to shine your name!

a. Three rewards including a Name Card will be given to all players made advance purchase.
Reward 1. Two Name Cards


Reward 2. Title: 1st Generation Player
Reward 3. Tower’s Voice: Rose’s Voice – Summoned

b. More Name Cards will be updated as reward in the future.


2. Attack Monster System Renewal
- Each Attack Monster’s strategical characteristics are improved; They gets special skills and increased HP to attack other players successfully in early rounds. Also, Points required to summon Attack Monster increases, and the number of Attack Monsters can be summoned in a round is adjusted to reduce defender’s incoming damage.

a. Changes of Attack Monsters
- Runner (Shortcut ‘Q’): Requires 5 points to summon. It generates buff increasing armor and resistance. It deals 1 point of damage when passes the gate.
- Nev (Shortcut ‘W’): Requires 10 points to summon. It enhances buff’s effect when got debuffed. It deals 1 point of damage when passes the gate.
- Ucher (Shortcut ‘E’): Requires 25 points to summon. It recovers HP of Attack Monsters nearby. It deals 2 point of damage when passes the gate.

b. Acquirable attack point cap is adjusted to 150. Usable maximum points in a round remains to 50.

c. Acquisition of Gold from a successful attack is changed.
- Current: 100 Golds are acquirable from dealing every 4/8/12/16/20/24/28 damage in a round.
- Changed: 100 Golds are acquirable from dealing every 3/6/10/15/20 damage in a round.


3. Changes in Towers’ Synergy Effect and Skills
- Changed Towers’ synergy effects to adjust its impact at the game’s result.

a. x6 Synergy Effect is removed.

b. Some of x3 Synergy Effect are modified.
- Demolition (Epic)
x3 Synergy: Removed the effect ‘Increases attack by 20%’.
Skill ‘The More the Better’: Increasing rate of attack speed changed from 40% to 70%.

- Desolator (Epic)
x3 Synergy: Increasing rate of attack speed changed from 50% to 40%.

- Rose (Epic)
x3 Synergy: Increasing possibility of dealing critical attack changed from 40% to 30%.

- Regina (Epic)
Single attack damage changed from 800 to 1000.
Skill ‘Blast of Decay’: Dealing damage from diseased debuff changed from 400 to 350.

- Arni (Unique)
Skill ‘Iron Charisma’: Increasing Attack Monsters’ movement speed changed from 10% to 8%.

- Spear (Rare)
Skill ‘Exis Commander’: Dealing damage nearby changed from 180 to 300.

- Noblesse (Magic)
Single attack damage changed from 50 to 70.
Skill ‘Earth Split’: Dealing damage nearby changed from 50 to 70.

- Karian (Magic)
Single attack damage changed from 30 to 50.


4. Improvements in Game’s Difficulty
a. Adjusted Challenge Mode’s difficulty.
- Normal monster’s HP increased slightly. Boss and final boss monster’s HP decreased slightly.

b. Adjusted Matching Mode’s difficulty.
- Increased preparation time for each round.
- Monsters’ HP in later rounds slightly increased.

5. Improvements in System
a. Updated Tower Lock function. (Shortcut ‘G’)
- The tower which is locked cannot be merged or sold.

b. System notification can be found during the game.
- System notification is displayed in chatting.

c. Increased sound volume of game start count after the game is set.


6. Bug Fix
a. Fixed a bug that advancing to the next round in Tournament was unavailable in a specific situation.

b. Fixed a bug that Tournament result wasn’t recorded.

We've been working hard past few weeks to finalize the details and are excited to share changes and update details for Project RTD.

[h2]New Modes Coming Soon[/h2]
We will be adding a new 6-player mode along with several other modes.

[h3]Single Player Challenge Mode - Coming 3/12(PDT) [/h3]
This is a 40-round single player mode. The goal is to defeat the final boss. There are 5 levels of difficulties and rewards for clearing each difficulty level.

[h3]Duo Game Mode - Coming Late March ~ Early April(PDT)[/h3]
Duo Mode is a new mode for 2 players to party up in a PvP and fight with other teams. We will first release the Duo Mode.



[h2]Making Project RTD More Accessible[/h2]
[h3]Free Demo – Coming 3/26(PDT)[/h3]
A free demo will offer initial tutorial , a Normal Mode, Friendly PvP Mode(other modes are available in the full game).

The demo will be supported for the foreseeable future. Exact time frame will be announced at a later date after the demo launches.

A free demo anyone can try and easily experience what Project RTD is like with a tutorial and a normal & friendly match.

[h3]Changes to Game Purchase – Coming 3/26 18:00(PDT) [/h3]
To welcome the new players coming over from the demo, we will be separating the season pass from the base game. The base game will feature a lower price and the season pass will become an optional purchase.

As a big thank-you to our original player base, the Early Access season pass that was included with the initial purchase will be converted to the new season pass where seasonal content will continue to be updated. If you bought the game initially before this change, nothing changes. You already have the game and the new season pass.

And moreover, we’ve also prepared more gifts to our original player base. If you’ve purchased the game before we separated the game and the season pass, you will be receiving special in-game gifts.

Duo Mode is a new mode for 2 players to party up in a PvP and fight with other teams.
PVP mode for 3 teams of players. (2 VS 2 VS 2)
- You can start Duo Game alone or with a friend.
- Duo Mode will have free season during the early access ranking.
- Duo Game is only available from 18:00 to 23:59 every day during the free season. The open time can be changed with a notice.

[ Other improvement and bugs fixed]
1. Server Optimization
- Fixed 0.2 seconds of delay under normal internet connection.
- Optimized the server to minimize the delay under slow internet connection.

2. Added ‘Reduce sparkling effect’ option in Settings.

3.Updated the Hidden Missions to be applied to Normal Game and Duo Game.

4. Acquirable daily reward can be seen while loading in rank game.

5.If tier could be dropped by next game’s result, you get warning in waiting room and result scene in advance.

6. Fixed a bug that Epic Tower Lockdown’s skill motion of ‘Barrage of Doom’ wasn’t displayed.

7. You can find where your mouse cursor is by left click during the game.

8. Changed the placed Towers to show their front during the preparation time.

* We focused on system update and balance patch for 7th and 8th week of early access to improve fun of game play, so there is no additional balance patch for this week. Related changes will be notified in other update note.

1. Changes of Tower Skills
Lockdown and Demolition’s synergy effects are improved.

2. Two-Out rule to avoid dropping tier in rank game
If you lost in rank game and the losing point causes dropping tier, the losing point will be adjusted only for once so that your tier won’t go lower than your current tier. (One-Out)
After One-Out, if you lost additional points, your tier will be dropped. (Two-Out)
After One-Out, if you maintained the current tier next rank game by gaining points, your One-Out will be initialized.

3. In-game Optimization
Optimized the server to minimize lag when having slow internet speed.
After the maintenance, a bit of server delay may occur to the players having fast internet speed.

4. Relieved the requirement of the mission ‘Play a game in Round 2 or higher in the Tournament’ from clear 2 times to 1 time.

5. Fixed a bug that the points in ‘Till the Next Tier’ displays 1 point less than actual points.

6. Corrected the game tip in loading scene regarding Quantum’s acquisition of Gold.
