Race Condition News

Hi guys!

We've just released version 1.1 of Race Condition. This release includes the much-requested possibility to customize quick races. You can now specify length of the race, number of participating drivers, and the overall difficulty. Use these settings to fine-tune the challenge as you play against the AI cars, or together with friends in split screen mode.

Also, we're happy to announce that we're participating in Steam Racing Fest which takes place May 23 - May 30. During this period, you'll be able to grab Race Condition at 30% discount! If you've previously been on the fence, this is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on the full game:

This update fixes a bug which has resulted in some players not getting the "Completionist" achievement despite having placed first in every track.

If you have been affected by this, follow these steps to get the achievement retroactively:

1. Update to version 1.0.6 or higher.
   
2. Finish one race in world tour mode. It doesn't matter which track or what place you end up in.
   
3. After the race, during the points summary, the achievement will be awarded to to you.

Achievements

• Fixed a bug which made it impossible to get 3rd place or 2nd place achievement on a track if having previously placed 1st.
  

Tracks

• Fixed a bug on Higashi track which could result in the car being reset to a point inside the ramp rather than on it.
  
• Adjusted a collision mesh on Elsendorp Ring.
  

UI

• Fixed a bug which caused the footer to not update to show controller icons if the controller was connected after the game had already been started.
  
• Fixed incorrect button hints on car setup screen.
  
• Added sound effects when revealing newly unlocked tracks.
  

- Time Trial: fIxed a bug which caused the in-game leaderboard to render incorrectly on certain tracks.
- Fixed a bug which caused the flag to not show correctly on some screens when playing in offline mode.

The February 2022 edition of Steam Next Fest has come to an end and, as many of you know, Race Condition was part of the festival with a playable demo, as well as a live stream where Marcus did a playthrough of the first 40 minutes of the game.

At the same time, gaming website PCInvasion took a deep dive into everything the festival had to offer in an attempt to find their absolute favorites. Eventually, after searching through and reviewing many of the over 600 demos available, only eight games remained - and we are happy to see that Race Condition secured a spot on this exclusive list.

Race Condition is described as timelessly beautiful with solid mechanics and the game audio is considered a special highlight. Thanks a lot PCInvasion! :-)
