Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator News

Thank you from developers

We are a small team of five working on our first PC game and your help is priceless to us. Since the first playtest last winter, we have carefully collected and considered your feedback.

We’d like to thank everyone who filled out surveys in our demos and playtests as well as all who left feedback on Potion Craft in Discord, Reddit, Steam, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Without you, we wouldn’t have found some nasty bugs and come up with some great ideas. There are features we gave priority due to your multiple requests, and features we modified dramatically after addressing your feedback. There is much more to implement and improve during the Early Access, and we hope you will stay with us to make Potion Craft even better together!

Thank you all for your support,
Let’s brew together!

Potion Craft, the surprise hit of the Steam Festivals, launches this month

Steam's Game Festivals - or Steam Next Fest, as the series of events is now called - have proven to be an excellent way to sample a variety of upcoming PC games. One of the early standouts was Potion Craft: Alchemy Simulator, and after an extensive round of community playtests, it's finally due to launch later this month.

Potion Craft hits Steam Early Access on September 21. There's no word on price just yet, but this Early Access version will be cheaper than the final release. The devs plan to introduce new potion effects, recipes, and ingredients over time, as well as expansions to running your shop and maintaining your garden.

If you've not played the demo, you throw together your potion ingredients and track their effects on a map - grinding one ingredient will take you in a zigzag pattern to the right, where another might give you a long loop upward. It's a bit abstract in explanation, but it makes immediate sense in practice, and it gives you a fun way to discover new effects while dodging potion-ruining missteps.

Potion Craft Playtest Patch 0.3.8

Hello alchemists,

Thank you so much for trying out our newest playtest and your continuous feedback.
We’ve been hard at work evaluating and fixing some of the most reported and critical bugs.
Potion Craft Playtest Patch 0.3.8 Notes
• Fixed a bug that caused the language settings to be reset to Russian on the second launch of the game.
 • Fixed a bug when Teleporting Crystals generated unnecessary steps in the Recipe Book history.
 • Fixed a bug when the creation of new recipes from other recipes could occasionally change the old ones' ingredients.
 • Fixed a bug that caused the map zoom scrollbar to be in the wrong position after loading.
 • Fixed a bug when the camera inertia on the map wasn't being reset.
 • Fixed a bug when crafting multiple potions from Recipe Book (with Shift key) gave XP as if you crafted 1 potion.
 • Fixed a bug with input field selection in the Recipe Book.
 • Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented ingredients from entering the cauldron.
 • Fixed a bug that caused players to receive excessive notifications when loading the game.
 • Fixed a bug when a pestle could end up in another room.
 • Fixed a bug with scrollbars in the Recipe Book.
 • Now when you switch between bookmarks, page turning animation will be triggered correctly.
 • Added icon in Nigredo tooltip.
 • Colliders for some of the flasks are now more precise.

Note: Settings will reset when you update the game (language will be set automatically, volume settings will reset to default settings, etc). We are aware of this behaviour, and we'll try to avoid it in the next updates.

Please continue sending your feedback our way here on Steam or join our Discord to be able to chat with other players and developers!
