About Glowfish Interactive
Since the focus of the festival is all about smaller teams, we'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about us:
Glowfish Interactive was founded by
Brecht Lecluyse and
Emiel De Paepe in 2014. We met during our studies at DAE (Digital Arts & Entertainment, Howest, Belgium). We worked on a few projects together during our studies and realised we made a pretty good team. After graduating we had the opportunity to start in AAA studios but both of us felt like we wanted to create our own thing, rather than being just one small cogwheel in a much larger machine.
From there, we made the ‘crazy’ decision to start our own studio and started doing work for hire to build up a steady cashflow. Any extra time we had, we used to start prototyping what would later become
Trifox. We continued working on Trifox as much as possible the next few years while picking up extra work where we could. Most notably, we ported
Space Pirate Trainer to Playstation VR.
In September 2019 a third developer joined the team:
Jeroen van Wamelen, who is also a DAE alumni.
We may be a very small team, but our main strength lays in the fact that we are jacks of all trades. Except for some concept art, music & sound design; we have always done all the work on Trifox ourselves. (except for the help of some interns over the years)
