Here are the updates made to Shadow Arena during the maintenance on December 23 (Thu).

| All
- Added a sliding motion when you stop from sprinting. (It does not affect movement or skill use or controls.)





| Gate Breaker A (Q)
- Fixed the issue where the movement speed buff was not updated after a successful attack.




- Changed Heilang’s attack for the skill ‘Tiger: Pursue!’ and ‘Crow: Shoo!’.


| Heilang! (RMB)
- Fixed the issue where more HP was recovered than the recovered amount listed on the skill description. (HP recovers at the same amount stated on the skill description)


| Tiger: Pursue! (RMB)
- Changed the skill description to match the updated command key and effects.
- Changed to have Heilang move behind Ba-Ri and charge to attack during consecutive attacks.
- Changed so the skill cannot be used while moving.


| Monkey: Reach! A (Q)
- Increased the duration of knockdown effect from 1 sec to 1.5 sec.
- Improved the camera allowing you to land in the location of where the camera direction is facing while moving the camera.
- Changed the charge distance in the skill description to match the actual travel distance.


| Monkey: Reach! B (Q)
- Improved to quickly perform a smash attack upon collision.


| Crow: Shoo! A (E)
- Changed the skill description to match the updated command key and effects.
- Decreased the maximum number of hits.
- Changed the knockup effect for 1.5 sec to blowback or guard break for 1.5 sec.
- Changed so Heilang moves to the target and explodes during consecutive attacks.
> Applies DP -20% upon explosion.


| Crow: Shoo! B (E)
- Decreased the maximum hits from 7 to 6.
- Increased the duration of blowback from 0.9 sec to 1.5 sec.
- Changed so Heilang moves to the target and explodes continuously while performing consecutive attacks.
> Applies DP –5% upon explosion.


| Heilang’s Territory A (R)
- Decreased cooldown from 32 sec to 25 sec.
- Changed the skill effect.
- Changed so ‘Heilang’ skills do not activate when using other skills while Heilang’s Territory A is active.
- Fixed the issue where more HP was recovered than the recovered amount listed on the skill description. (HP recovers at the same amount stated on the skill description)


| Heilang’s Territory B (R)
- Added attack where Ba-Ri swings her Celestial Bo Staff.
- Changed so the skill cannot be used while moving.
- Changed so ‘Heilang’ skills are not fired when using other skills while Heilang’s Territory B is active.
- Fixed so Heilang’s maximum damage level matches the actual damage level.


[Dev Note]
The focus of this improvement was on Ba-Ri's combo abilities in melee combat. In terms of offensive capabilities, Ba-Ri's position was a little unclear for both ranged and melee attacks.
Therefore, we improved her ability to combo into other skills and skill handling as well. Furthermore, the situation where more HP was recovered than the actual amount listed on the skill description has been corrected, ensuring that it only recovers the amount intended.




- Increased the basic attack range from 6m to 7m.
- Removed the DP Reduction effect applied upon targeting basic attacks.
- Increased the base DP from 0 to 80.


| Older Brother! (RMB)
- Changed so the Black Spirit charges forward instead of being summoned in place.
> If the Black Spirit locates an opponent while charging, it chases and attacks them.
- Changed so that DP reduction effect does not stack.
- Decreased the fixed damage from 400 to 300.


| Take Off! (RMB)
- Changed to charge forward quickly.
> However, while moving, you can still press RMB or LMB to immediately attack.
- Increased the duration of knockback from 0.9 to 1.2 sec.
- Changed damage value to the following.
> Level 1: 280 → 300
> Level 2: 336 → 360
> Level 3: 392 → 420
> Level 4: 448 → 480


| Hide-and-Seek A (Q)
- Changed so that skill can be used while moving.
> Changed to charge and attack by pressing the skill key (Q) or RMB.


| Hide-and-Seek B (Q)
- Skill has been changed to the following.
> Moves backward by rolling upon using the skill.
> You can change the rolling direction.
> Press the skill key (Q) to move to the location of where the skill was used for a second attack.


| Found You! A (E)
- Changed the skill motion.
- Changed so skills cannot be used while moving.


| Found You! B (E)
- Changed so you jump lower upon using skill.


| Laytenn! A (R)
- Changed so Black Spirit skill can be used after mounting Laytenn.
- Changed so you can use skills after mounting Laytenn.
> Increased the attack range of skills that are used while mounting Laytenn by 30%.
- Changed so you can press R or T key to dismount from Laytenn.


[Dev Note]
Wu-Ju’s improvements were focused on his main skill, Laytenn A. Because Wu-Ju has low base stats, he summons and rides Laytenn to strengthen this drawback.
With this, Wu-Ju can now use all of his skills while on the Laytenn. We also improved certain control elements of the Laytenn, in which we hope can eliminate the frustrating aspects and induce more fun in the gameplay for players. Lastly, although it was not included in this update, we plan to change Laytenn B skills as well by making it more dynamic and engaging.

- Decreased the continued firing speed by approximately 0.2 sec.

- Added normal games where tier points are not applied.
> You can select [Normal] or [Rank] from the top left of the screen after entering Solo or Trio game mode.


> Tier points are not applied when you start a normal game.
> Rival will not be assigned in Solo mode.
> Only 1 item is available from the Support Kit Shop regardless of your results after the game ends.
> Matching will be the same in Normal and Rank games and whether Tier points are obtained will depend on the selected option.

- Removed the effect that reduced the cooldown of Dark Shift when attacked while under a crowd control effect.


[Dev Note]
Invincibility, which is the strongest type of resistance effect, has been changed to super armor. The invincibility effect granted from skills was difficult to deal with for some Heroes. Ahon Kirus' Phantom Raven, on the other hand, is an exception because it is Ahon Kirus' core skill and the invincibility effect is not activated immediately after the attack.



| Shield of Heidel (RMB)
- Increased guard capacity by approximately 24%.

| Spinning Slash A (E)
- Increased the maximum damage by approximately 32%.




| Fallen Flower (RMB)
- Added stun effect for 0.3 sec on good upward slash.

| Clairvoyance B (Q)
- Fixed the issue where cooldown would be applied abnormally when failing to block enemy attacks.

| Head Shot A (E)
- Added color emphasis to skill controls in the skill description.

| Head Shot B (E)
- Improved skill description to fit the motion.

| Red Moon A (R)
- Changed effect from invincibility to super armor.

| Red Moon B (R)
- Improved skill description to fit the motion.
- Removed the ‘Super Armor’ effect which did not apply to skill from the skill description.


[Dev Note]
The invincibility effect granted from “Red Moon A” was to strengthen her traits and role in Trio mode.
But in Solo mode where 1v1 battles were frequent, players found it difficult to deal with the invincibility effect, which is why it was changed to the super armor effect. As for Fallen Flower, we added a short stun effect to interrupt enemies attacks, because the damage output was a bit underwhelming even after the short delay that was added last week.




| Unleashed Beast (RMB)
- Decreased the duration of super armor from 5 sec to 3 sec.
- Added a knockback attack when you roar.
> Adjusted the effect size to fit the attack.
- Changed so the skill is used in the camera view direction.

| Gate Breaker A (Q)
- Improved so you could change the direction of movement after performing shoulder charge.
- Improved to quickly combo into sprint attack on good hits.
- Added increased movement speed +10% for 3 sec on good hits.
- Increased shoulder charge attack range by 0.2m.

| Rock Smash A (E)
- Decreased cooldown from 16 sec to 14 sec.
- Changed to apply cooldown upon performing attacks or when moving.

| Rock Smash B (E)
- Increased the duration of blowback from 1.2 sec to 1.5 sec.
- Decreased the maximum damage by approximately 27%.

| Bestial Howl A (R)
- Decreased cooldown from 25 sec to 20 sec.
- Decreased the maximum damage by approximately 20%.


[Dev Note]
Through this update for Schultz, we reduced the excessive damage and difficulty aspects in performing his skill combos. Furthermore, the super armor effect applied for Unleashed Beast was Schultz’s specialty skill, but because there were no ways for certain Heroes to overcome this skill, we reduced the effect duration by 2 sec. Instead, a slight CC effect has been added and will be applied during the foot stomping motion to broaden its usage as a skill.




- Adjusted the basic attack range to fit motion.
- Fixed the issue where an abnormal sound was audible on failed sprint jump attack.
- Changed so the bleed effect that is applied for Thunder Rip (RMB) and Heart Stab (Q) does not overlap.

| Shadow Step (RMB)
- Changed the skill motion and removed charge effect.
- Added an ambush attack while in stealth.
> You can foot-trip the enemy by clicking RMB or LMB while in stealth.
- Added a basic attack motion after performing ambush attack while in stealth.
- Improved the walking motion while in stealth.
- Decreased basic movement speed by approximately 38% while in stealth.
- Changed so you could consume 1.5 times stamina to sprint while in stealth.
- Decreased the required stamina to perform skills by 37%.
> When sprinting while in stealth, stealth duration is approximately 5.5 sec.
> When sprint is not used, stealth duration is approximately 8 sec.
- Changed to no longer recover stamina during the skill casting motion.
- Fixed the issue where [Kick] could not be used while in stealth.
- Added effect when stealth is disabled.

| Thunder Rip (RMB)
- Improved to quickly perform smash attack when colliding in mid-air.

| Heart Stab A (Q)
- Increased the stun effect from 1 sec to 1.2 sec.

| Heart Stab B (Q)
- Removed the invincibility effect.
- Increased charge distance by 3m.
- Adjusted the attack range to fit motion.
- Decreased bleed fixed damage per 1 sec from 150 to 50.
- Improved the skill description.
- Fixed the issue where the effect would not appear immediately upon casting skill.
- Changed so transition into another motion is diplayed approximately 0.1 sec after performing attack.
- Improved the camera zoom in/out effect.

| Mirage A (E)
- Changed the effect from invincibility to super armor.
- Decreased the cooldown from 10 sec to 8 sec.

| Mirage B (E)
- Changed so you could immediately move behind the targeted enemy when the first attack succeeds.
- Changed so you cannot combo into the next attack upon failing the first attack.
- Decreased the maximum damage by approximately 15.3%.
- Decreased the charge distance by 2m.
- Increased the duration of stun from 0.5 sec to 1 sec.
- Changed the maximum attack range of the first hit to 3.5m.
- Removed the invincibility effect.
- Removed the stealth effect that was applied when casting skill.
- Increased cooldown from 8 sec to 10 sec.
- Decreased the effect size by 30%.
- Fixed the issue where stun effect would not be applied when using skills in stealth.

| Shadow Strike B (R)
- Changed the effect from invincibility to super armor.
- Improved to quickly perform the last hit by pressing skill key (R) or LMB.
- Improved so you could attack by selecting the landing direction with arrow keys before performing the last attack.
> Improved to perform quicker attacks when you move and attack using the arrow keys.
> Decreased the travel distance when arrow keys are not used.

- Fixed the issue where the starting effect of skill did not appear while in stealth.
- Decreased the maximum damage by 16.4%.
- Added an attack range indicator when performing the final hit.


[Dev Note]

Haru uses the element of surprise to initiate attacks then quickly evades which resulted in a low-risk gameplay.

However, reliance on this playstyle made things a little repetitive and boring from the player’s perspective, and it was an unpleasant experience for the opponents as well.

So the update was focused on improving these particular aspects.

“Shadow Step” will be changed to an in-place skill to add risk factors to its usage. However, while in stealth, kick attack will be performed if you press the skill key (RMB) again, and on good hits, you can transition to other skills into combos easily.

Lastly, we proceeded with balancing work to reinforce the somewhat weak concept of Mastery B skills and strengthened the overall transitioning of combos within them.



| Thunderbolt Arrow (RMB)
- Fixed the issue where arrows would be fired abnormally when casting ‘Shower of Arrows A’.
- Fixed the issue where “Shower of Arrows A” skill would not be canceled if another skill was being used.

| Explosive Trap (RMB)
- Fixed the issue where the command keys UI did not disappear when detonating a trap by pressing the skill key (RMB) again.
- Fixed the issue where only one explosive trap would be summoned upon using the skill while sitting.





| Shield of Revenge (RMB)
- Fixed the issue where ‘Thunder Strike A’ could not be used while using skills.

| Thunder Strike A (Q)
- Fixed the issue where smash attack would be canceled when using skill while performing basic attacks.
- Fixed the issue where skills could not be used when performing left/right lateral attack.
- Fixed the issue where lower body movement would be abnormal when performing basic attacks or when performing the skill into a combo.

| Altar Destroyer A (E)
- Changed so you could cancel skill by using another skill after performing attacks.
- Fixed the issue where Thunder Strike could not be used quickly after performing attacks.

| Avalanche A (R)
- Removed decrease attack and movement speed effect upon performing smash attack.





| Shadow of Quturan A (Q)
- Changed the effect from invincibility to super armor.




| Thorns of Corruption (RMB)
- Changed so multiple thorns are fired at once when enemies are nearby.
- Increased the time it takes to transition to another motion after using the skill by 0.2 sec.

| Kriegsmesser Parry (RMB)
- Changed so you could move faster when the skill activates.
- Changed so the skill is used in the direction of the camera view.
- Changed to consume stamina if guard stance is maintained.
- Increased cooldown from 6 sec to 9 sec.
- Decreased guard capacity by 30%.
- Decreased the maximum damage by approximately 32.6%. (460 → 310)
- Fixed the attack range from 3.3 to 1.8m.
- Changed the basic attack motion that is performed after using skill.

| Air Strike A (Q)
- Added a 0.3-sec casting motion to skill until the charge.
- Fixed the duration of knockdown in the skill description to match the actual duration.
> The actual duration of knockdown is 1.5 sec, but it was written incorrectly in the skill description.
- Added a knockdown effect on the 2nd hit that lasts for 1.2 sec.
- Removed the invincibility effect.
- Changed so the attack is activated immediately when colliding with an enemy.

| Helix Slash A (E)
- Decreased the casting motion until the attack by approximately 0.2 sec.
- Improved so you could perform basic attacks and move faster after performing an attack.

| Helix Slash B (E)
- Decreased the maximum damage by approximately 19%.

| Garden of Roses A (R)
- Improved by shortening the motion of the skill. With this, Garden of Roses will appear faster when the skill is activated.
- Removed the skill effect that healed party members.
- Doubled the damage inflicted on targets trapped inside the Garden of Roses.
- Increased the Garden of Roses’ duration from 5 sec to 7 sec.

| Garden of Roses B (R)
- Changed the skill motion. With this, Garden of Roses will appear faster when the skill is activated.
- Added damage effect of 210% when hit by the first thorn that appears.
- Increased the duration from 5 sec to 7 sec.
- Removed attack speed +20% effect and added decrease movement speed 20% for enemies.


[Dev Note]

The skill animation of Garden of Roses, a core skill of Ataraxia, was enhanced to have the animation start from the center and the time it takes for the Garden of Roses to appear has been reduced. Additionally, we removed the invincibility effect from skills that were difficult to be dealt with such as Air Strike A and slightly slowed its activation speed. As for Kriegsmesser Parry, its powerful guard capacity, attack range, and damaging effects were all decreased.



| Arduanatt (RMB)
- Decreased cooldown from 25 sec to 20 sec.

| Sacred Shield (RMB)
- Changed so you could use skills while holding up the shield.
- Removed the HP recovery effect on good blocks.
- Added effect where you can heal you or your party members’ bleed effect when the shield is held up.


[Dev Note]
While monitoring Jousting in equestrian combat while riding Arduanatt, we identified balancing aspects that were overlooked for Sacred Shield. Jousting’s shield has a long casting time, but it was designed so that you could retaliate as well. However, Jousting recovered HP on successful blocks, and it was determined that this was overly discouraging for opponents facing off against her. Therefore, we removed the mechanic that recovers HP on good block, but retained the ability that heals bleed effects.

- Fixed the issue where the skill description would not appear when hovering over certain areas of skill icons with the mouse at the bottom of the screen.
