[h3]■ New Hero "Venslar”[/h3]
- Added the new Hero "Venslar.”

[h3]Systems [/h3]

l Auto-matching
- Improved game feature to enable other motions during auto-match.
- Changed to display the auto-match time above the Main Lobby and so that it could be canceled at any time.

l Hero Selection Screen
- Changed the Ready button to be disabled 3 seconds after the player clicked on it in the Hero Selection Screen.
- Improved the Ready button to be greyed out when players cannot click on it in the Hero Selection Screen.
- Removed the kick feature in the Hero Selection Screen.
- Changed so that players who do not press Ready within 60 seconds in the Hero Selection Screen are automatically kicked and will receive the Leaving Penalty.
- Changed the Ready button to be disabled when a player clicks it within 30 seconds so that they cannot cancel it.
- Added a feature to check out the Hero’s stats when players click on each Hero on the Hero Selection Screen and changed UI placement.

l Gameplay
- Reduced the speed of the fog closing in as follows.
> (Before) Begins to close in at 2 minutes > Reaches the final location at 10 minutes → (After) Begins to close in at 2 minutes > Reaches the final location at 12 minutes
- Fixed an issue where the Shultz AI in tutorial did not use skills.
- Changed the Help! ping to be automatically placed when the player dies.
- Changed the duration of Aal’s Eye as follows.
> (Before) Permanent → (After) 3 minutes
- Changed the Results screen to show information of all the players and AI players when a team drops out during a Trio match.
- Fixed the issue with the game starting when not enough players are gathered.

l AI Player
- Changed AI players to purchase items with tokens in the Shop.
- Added the AI players’ status to show up in-game.
- Changed the AI player’s results to show up in the Game Results screen.
- Fixed the issue where the AI Goyen appeared to be dragged along when he uses the skill Blood Flurry.
- Fixed the issue where AI Shultz is wearing another axe on his back when he is carrying his axes.
- Improved AI players behavior.
- Fixed the issue with additional damage applied to monsters with the matchlock being applied against AI players.
- Improved AI players placed in teams with actual players to control the Light of Ascension or impede other teams from controlling.
- Fixed the issue where the game doesn’t end until the AI player party placements are decided after all the actual players are dead.
- Changed the rankings to show the AI players’ information if a party of normal players and AI players succeeded in Ascension.
- Fixed an issue where the AI player’s kill is reflected as the normal player’s kill in that party.
- Fixed the issue where the AI players appears bigger than their original size.


[h3]Heroes [/h3]
- Changed the damage of Matchlocks to the following.

- Fixed the issue where the defensive effect was being shown when using the Matchlock skill with a defensive effect active.
- Fixed the issue with the message “Please try again later” appeared when using the Hand of Healing skill at a high location or while jumping.
- Fixed the travel distance of Heroes on the skill descriptions to fit the in-game travel distance.



l Spinning Slash(E)
- Decreased damage by 14%.

We are adjusting Jordine as he inflicted a rather high amount of damage even though he is a hero with strong defensive capabilities.




- Decreased the travel distance of the first attack by 35%.

l Fallen Flower (RMB)
- Changed the Attack Speed buff to be applied immediately after using the skill.
- Fixed the issue with the Attack Speed buff overlapping.
- Changed the skill so that Head Shot cannot be used immediately after using this skill.

l Head Shot (E)
- Changed the skill so that Fallen Flower (RMB) cannot be used immediately after using this skill.
- Changed the skill to consume stamina while aiming.

l Red Moon(R)
- Improved the skill to be able to shift directions quickly while slashing.
The travel distance of Yeonhwa’s first basic attack was based off the Brawler’s characteristic. However, we decreased the travel distance considering the fact that the travel distance of basic attack is faster than her movement speed. We have made adjustments to avoid situations where the enemy Hero cannot come close whilst Yeonhwa is making a gathering motion just like Yeonhwa’s Head Shot.




l Phantom Raven (RMB)
- Changed the skill to move in the direction where the camera is facing.

l Sun of Destruction(R)
- Decreased the damage of the level 1 orb by 25%.
- Fixed the issue where stamina isn’t consumed while using the skill.

Same as Yeonhwa’s Head Shot, we made adjustments to Ahon Kirus’ charging motion before she shoots the Sun of Destruction so we can avoid situations where melee Heroes cannot approach her.




- Fixed the issue where the projectile hitting effect is shown when Herawen is knocked down.




- Added an extra arrow to be shot by default with the last basic attack used on the spot.
- Deleted sideways dodge shot and changed to sideways dodge movement shot.
- Enabled dodge movement shot to consume stamina and move quickly.
- Changed basic attacks on the spot to not be shot right after a dodge movement shot after dodging.
- Fixed the issue where the sound of the basic attack after using the Twin Fairy Arrow is awkward.

l Thunderbolt Arrow (RMB)
- Changed the skill to consume stamina while aiming.



- Decreased travel distance of the first basic attack by 23%.
- Changed her jumps to not jump on the spot when she doesn’t have enough stamina while maintaining a dodge jump movement.

l Shadow Step (RMB)
- Changed the skill to enable concealing in the direction the camera is facing.

Same with Yeonhwa, we made adjustments so that the travel distance of her basic attacks are not faster than her movement speed.




l Blood Flurry (R)
- Decreased the damage by 19.6%.

We did think Goyen’s Blood Flurry skill had too much damage. Thus, we adjusted his skill to fit to the Brawler characteristic.




- Added additional explanations on the skill effects on the skill explanations.
- Fixed an issue where direction change is slow during sprints.

l Heart Gouge (R)
- Changed the skill to show the attack range when casting the skill.


[h3]■ Contents[/h3]

l Kill Streak System
- Added a system that awards more tokens if a player kills a player that are on a kill streak without dying.
- Added an effect to be displayed when a player is on a kill streak. The effect will match the number of kills the player is on.


l Shop
- Shop items are listed in the order of their price by type.
- In the case of items categorized as same kinds, only one item per type could be purchased.
- Improved and increased the visual quality of 34 shop item icons.
- Changed the Purchase Price or the effect of Shop items to the following.

※ Only able to purchase ONE Starting Item.
※ Only able to purchase ONE Orb.

- Added the following items to the Shop.


l Monsters
- Changed the name of a Shadow Knight called “Shadow Warrior“ to “Elite Shadow Mercenary.”
- Changed how Ruins Golems split to the following:
> (Before) Split into 2, 3 times → (After) Split into 4, 2 times
- Changed the 2nd wave of normal monster spawn from 5 minutes to 4 minutes.
- Added more Shadow Trolls to appear.
> (Before) around 15 spawn after 1 minute → (After) around 15 spawn after 1 minute + around 10 spawn after 4 minutes + around 15 spawn after 7 minutes
- Reduced the total amount of tokens obtainable from defeating all of the Ruins Golems and their split off miniatures.

- Fixed the location of where bonus tokens appeared after defeating Shadow Trolls and Shadow Knight Captains.
- Increased the size of the smallest bonus token by 1.2 times.
- Fixed the issue where the Stoneback Crab continue to chase Heroes far away from their initial spawning spot.
- Fixed the Shadow Knight Captains and Shadow Shamans so that they cannot be grabbed.
- Fixed the issue where the bull effect would be displayed when hitting large monsters (Shadow Lords, Shadow Knight Captains, Shadow Shamans, Shadow Trolls, Stoneback Crabs, Ruins Golems).
- Added the hit effect when players hit large monsters.

l Ancient Relics
- Change the duration of Aal’s Eye to the following:
> (Before) Permanent → (After) 3 minutes
- Change the effect of Aal’s Eye to increasing Vision Range by 10 times for 3 minutes upon getting the buff.
- Fixed the issue where the Ancient Relic icon displayed on the upper side of the world map was the older version of the icon.
- Fixed the issue where the word “relic” was repeated twice in the message announcing their appearance.

l Light of Ascension
- Changed the message "You've ascended and seized victory!" to appear 3 seconds faster.


[h3]■ UI[/h3]
- Added effects for kill/death streak.
- Fixed the issue where the item description did not refresh quickly.
- Added a border for the minimap.


[h3]■ Fixes and Improvements[/h3]
- Changed the Clan Member list so that clan members cannot be invited.
- Changed the party matching function in Custom Mode to disband when players leave the party matching screen.

Certain PCs Unable to Connnect (Resolved)



Greetings, this is Shadow Arena.

We have confirmed that many of our players were inconveniences by the issue caused by the security module program starting from 15:50 (UTC+9) on January 20, 2021 (Wed).
