Opening of the South America Server

Greetings, this is Shadow Arena.

So far, Shadow Arena has had a total of 4 beta tests and will soon be entering Early Access to help us for a successful official release. It was thanks to everyone’s passionate support and valuable feedback during these past beta tests that inspired us to prepare the Early Access.

And so, we want to thank all of our testers that have been with us since the very beginning of Shadow Arena.

Before Early Access begins, there’s some exciting news we’d like to share.

In addition to the “Asia, North America, Europe/Russia servers” that were available during the previous beta test, we will also be hosting the “South America server” for the upcoming Early Access.

We were deeply impressed by the support we received from South American testers during the previous final beta test. As a result, we wanted to reward this support by providing our players a better gameplay environment.

We at the Shadow Arena team dream of being able to play with even more and more players; we hope that the opening of the South American server will be the start of just that.

Please stay tuned for Early Access! We’ll be doing our best to make sure the wait is worth it!

Thank you!

Deactivation of All Beta Keys

Greetings, this is Shadow Arena.

We want to let you know that all beta keys used for the past Global Beta (Feb 27 - Mar 9) and the Final Beta (April 17 - April 20) will be deactivated after April 29 (Wed).

Once the deactivation is completed, you will no longer be able to access the game with this beta key. As a result, if you played the Global Beta (Feb 27 - Mar 9) and the Final Beta (April 17 - April 20) through Steam, you may see a message similar to the one below.

This message indicates that the beta key has been deactivated successfully. Don’t worry though, you will be able to play the game for free without a beta key once Early Access begins on May 21 (Thu).

Shadow Arena Early Access Announcement

Greetings, this is Shadow Arena.

From the first Beta to the recent Final Beta, we’ve been able to successfully complete each and every one of them thanks to the incredible support and engagement of all our testers.

In this journey together, everyone’s heartfelt support and thorough feedback made us realize once again just how immense and overwhelming of a process it is to create a game. Thank you for all the support you’ve given us in these past beta tests.

With this experience and feedback, we will begin Early Access on May 21 (Thu).

So what is “Early Access”? Early Access is a stage of development where the game is available to play before the official service, and at the same time, where we can actively implement everyone’s feedback to develop the game and bring it closer to completion.

With Early Access about a month away, we are constantly reviewing what was lacking in the previous beta tests and intently making improvements. We are working hard to prepare new content and a more satisfying service.

If you have any feedback or suggestions for a better Shadow Arena or would just like to stay updated with our latest news, please feel free to visit the Shadow Arena official Discord channel.

[Final Beta] End of the Shadow Arena Final Beta

As of April 20 (Mon), the Shadow Arena Final Beta has come to an end.

We want to sincerely thank all of our testers for being with us during the past January through March Betas and the recent Final Beta.

While there are some lingering misgivings and regrets in our minds for delivering a more engaging and enjoyable game, it seems we’ve managed to bring this Final Beta to a successful close thanks to all of your incredible support and encouragement.

Looking forward, we will be working hard to bring about a better Shadow Arena by closely examining and considering all the feedback we’ve received regarding everyone’s experiences in the arena during the beta test.

If there any suggestions or feedback you haven’t had a chance to send us yet,
please feel free to send them to us through the Shadow Arena Support or our official Discord.

Game Guide: Serendia and New Monsters

[Contents]
1. Goblin Thief
2. Ruins Golem
3. Stoneback Crab
4. Elite Monsters
5. Shadow Knights
6. High-Density Areas

New monsters have appeared in the wide-open steppes and along the refreshing Demi River of Serendia. Once defeated, some of these new monsters will grant powerful buffs that may turn the tides of battle.

Let’s take a look at the new monsters!
1. Goblin Thief
The Goblin Thief is a monster that hides around the arena carrying stolen treasure on its back.

When attacked, the Goblin Thief will start chanting a spell to make its escape. You can take it down easily by using your crowd control (CC) skills while the goblin is still casting its spell. Otherwise, the Goblin Thief will get away when it finishes its cast.

Defeat the Goblin Thief to get much more silver compared to other monsters!
2. Ruins Golem
The Ruins Golem normally remains stationary at its location. Defeating the Ruins Golem will split it into 2 more golems, and this process will repeat for a total of 3 times. This ultimately results in a total of 15 golems appearing. (1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = 15)

Defeating the Ruins Golem will heighten your ability to gain more Skill Points as it grants a buff that lasts for 30 seconds which increases your Skill Point gain by +300%. It also gives 15 points towards opening your sealed items.
3. Stoneback Crab
There are 3 types of Stoneback Crabs.

Once the match begins, 1 of each type of Stoneback Crab will spawn per match in pre-designated areas. Each Stoneback Crab grants different types of buffs when they are defeated. These buffs are very useful and can affect the flow of the battle.

So, wanna a closer look at the types of Stoneback Crabs?

1) Demi River Stoneback Crab

The Demi River Stoneback Crab will not attack once engaged. Instead, it will start to quickly run away. Use your strongest skills and continue to attack it from behind as it flees.

Defeating this speedy monster will net you a 5 minute buff to increase your Movement Speed by +10%.

2) Mountain Stoneback Crab

The Mountain Stoneback Crab can be found near the southern mountain range. This Stoneback Crab possesses a large amount of health. It will unleash counter-attacks against attackers and can even knock down its foes.

Defeating the Mountain Stoneback Crab may prove a bit difficult, but defeating it will grant you an 8 minute buff that will make you immune to attacks from the Hungry Black Spirits that dwell in the Dark Fog. So, doesn’t it seem like it’s worth the trouble?

3) Steppe Stoneback Crab
The Steppe Stoneback Crab can be found in the western steppes.

It has relatively low health, but it deals a great amount of damage. So be wary of its counters as you face this monster.

Defeating the Steppe Stoneback Crab will net you a 3 minute buff that increases your damage against monsters by +700.

If you value efficiency, make sure to take down the Steppe Stoneback Crab first before hunting down other monsters!
4. Elite Monsters
Elite Monsters may be stronger compared to normal monsters, but if you successfully defeat them, they will always drop blue-grade gear and items.

If you encounter an Elite Monster at the start of the match, take on the challenge and defeat them to obtain blue grade gear!
5. Shadow Knights
The Shadow Knights will mainly appear either within or around large city areas.

Defeating the Shadow Knights has a high chance of earning you Skill Points, so take down Shadow Knights to quickly boost your skill levels!
6. High-Density Area
The monster density of certain areas within Serendia has been increased.
Red: Stoneback Crab
Pink: Ruins Golem
Purple: Shadow Knights
Cyan: Elite Monsters
Green: Goblin Thief,
Yellow: High-Density Area
