It's that time of the year again when it's time to bow down before the Despot, show him your loyalty and praise his incredible work. Each fall, Steam holds Steam Awards to determine the best game in each of the handful of nominations. Last year, we ordered asked you to vote for our game in the "Best Game You Suck At" category. But this time, we decided to shake things up a bit. Since Despot's Game is perfect in all aspects, including music, it's about time you showed some appreciation for the game's soundtrack. So...

Fixed Tricksters not dodging when they have Steady Footing mutation
Fixed a bug where saves could not be loaded with Curse of Mutation or Curse of Variety present. Also, we will be sending unloadable saves to our servers now.

SECRET UPDATE | King of the Hill Season 3

UPDATE 1.2

With this update, we added something SECRET to the game. For now, all you get is a hint: look for this secret on Level 7. We can also tell you that this "secret" can completely change the latter part of your run! Plus, it'll upend the balance of power in the King of the Hill multiplayer mode.

[h3]• We also made some not-so-secret changes •[/h3]

"Kaled's Assembly" has been reworked. Now every 3rd Shooter can summon a Kaled, but that Kaled is a lot stronger than before;
5 new mutations in the same vein as "Kaled's Assembly" have been added for different classes:
1. "Faithful 54MUR41" - Fencers;
2. "Pet Thorny" - Tricksters;
3. "Friendly Deathknight" - Tanks;
4. "Purr-Meow" - Fighters;
5. "Boomfish" - Throwers.
New mutation: "Overheal". Lets Healers heal allies in advance during a fight;
New consumable button: "Tester". Triggers a random text event;
We added the option to view your opponent's mutations in PvP. Just go to your own mutations window during a PvP fight, and then you'll be able to figure it out from there;
The game mode selection window now shows your Brawl record;
Frosty now deals damage to a random enemy on death.

The Despot Is Celebrating Halloween

Alright, so the spooky season has come. Everyone is decorating their places with "scary" decor, laughing around, having fun and pretending they can't be scared for real. I tell you what, humans: you can't fool yourselves with all those papier-mâché spiders and paper cobwebs. Deep down inside, you know what real horror feels like.

The real horror begins when you enter my dungeon. So I invite you all again to test yourselves, as my minions and I are...

From October 28th (well, today, basically) to November 10th (the start of King of the Hill Season 3), participate in King of the Hill multiplayer mode and get the unique Halloween medal to showcase next to your nickname! (Note: the medal will appear in the next season, starting on November 10th.)

For those who are not in the know: to participate in King of the Hill, beat me, the Despot, in the single-player mode. Which you are not capable of doing, obviously. But good luck anyway. And Happy Halloween!
