Pendula Swing - The Complete Journey News

Greetings, adventurers!

First and foremost, Thank You for being by our side this weekend, when our work for the past two years culminated in the launch of Pendula Swing: The Complete Journey! While it feels like we have done a much better job with bug squashing*, some of you still found some tiny issues that we fixed. The patch is 3.1.1. Here's what we fixed:

• some of you experienced crashes in the Harbour District - this was likely due to the Police being overly active with prohibition, probably because we stole their Chief's painting so many times; this should now be fixed
  
• Jeff Wings occasionally lost himself in conversation, which prevented some of you to complete the main story line - he will pay more attention to you now, thus allowing you to move on
  
• Giglesh'Kern seems to be the sweetheart of Duberdon when it comes to dates, so we had a chat with him and taught him how to better shoot you gazes of love and ... well, he also decided to react if you still wear clothes when you're both in your bedroom. Right - This Is Also A Spoiler Alert
• the invitation to your cousin's wake now also serves as an invitation to the city, so make sure you grab it when you leave home
  
• several characters have been... called to the principal's office and we taught them how to behave a little better
  
• we also fixed some typos, like the speakeasy' bartender's super sexy line "this is a test text"
  

We continue to keep an eye on your feedback! We are currently working in the Library to publish all the awesome content you sent to us, so we will be patching soon again!

*as always, no real bugs were squashed during the development of this game

On Sunday, we will celebrate the International Women's Day at the office, launching Pendula Swing: The Complete Journey! We made a public event on Facebook where we begged anyone who would listen to have some Funny Jokes and pics with Cute Animals ready for us, because we will be quite anxious! Fingers crossed that everything will go well, and we are going to stream the launch on our YouTube channel and broadcast Pendula Swing: The Complete Journey here on Steam. Mark your calendars: Sunday March 8th, 3pm-6pm GMT+2.

Freshly Printed - Read All About It!

The Goblins protests for their right to vote are on the rise! Police reports a worrisome increase in illegal Dwarven Ale trafficking, though when asked to show the confiscated barrels, the Police Chief shrugs and changes the subject. The Silver Gate Speakeasy keeps getting eviction and closure notices, but - let's be honest, everybody wants it open.

Tired of the News? The Great Library in the Academic District is now open to public. Featuring an impressive display of bookshelves, it only lacks one thing: more books. [h3]Are you the author we are looking for?[/h3]


The Great Library wants to publish selected books about subjects relevant to Duberdon and the Pendulan society in general. They accept any literary work of quality, fictional or not, as long as it complies with the following rules:

• short title mandatory; no more than 5 words
  
• a maximum of 1220 character or about 205 words
  
• no profanities; except for describing Jack The Flyboy .... nevermind
• polite, elegant language favoured
  

Submissions to be done on this community, as comments to this Important Announcement or under our Library - Are you the author we are looking for? thread. We may be lenient to those willing to start new discussions, especially if the story in question requires debate.

The stories deemed most relevant to Duberdon and Pendula will be published and rewarded. One published story will be granted a special key that takes you to a magical land, all expenses paid.

It's Laura here, Valiantly set to tell you about our special Pendula Swing: The Complete Journey features and how you can use them to cause mischief to some Duberdonians that really deserve it.

Fishing

Well, you can't really do any mischief with fishing. Except maybe starve some goblins. And goblins are really nice, don't you think? So for this particular feature, I figured I could give you a top 3 worst fishing spots in Duberdon:

1. The bench near the ice cream vendor in the Business District. Fish are notoriously known for getting scared, and the ice cream vendor, who is otherwise a very nice chap with very ... intriguing business decisions, yells about his ice cream All. The Time. So if you fish there, you might get a headache. You do catch fish anyhow, because OUR fish don't get scared. And if you don't want an imaginary headache, you can make the poor ice cream vendor go away and that's a little mischievous, maybe?
2. The stairs in the Harbour District. That's probably the most polluted water around, so there's a high chance of treasure, too. Also - you'll starve them poor goblins. The fish work just dandy for you because you are the hero and the protagonist, but trust me, if you fish there, those goblins will starve. And we have been mischievous enough to not always allow you to give them your fish.
   
   
   
   
3. The bench in your neighbour's garden. We understand your need for companionship, but fishing from your neighbours garden is illogical. Or maybe it isn't. I don't know!
   

Decorating

In Pendula Swing: The Complete Journey, you can replace any art in your homes, and even some furniture. We call it "decorating", but it can also be thought of as "stealing". And I personally LOVE this feature because...



I stole the Police Chief's painting right from her office! She deserves it so much!

The "decorating" feature can also be used as good old fashioned spam. Like so...
