Gestalt v1.0.4.1 | Patch Notes

A patch for Gestalt: Steam and Cinder has been released and includes the following changes and fixes.

Features
  • Added option to Disable Screen Shake in video settings.
  • Healing Flask now replenishes when first entering and when respawning after dying in either of the two monorail rooms.
Bug Fixes
  • Saves will now correctly show in the selection menu after crashing. This fixes the "Save Corruption" issue that players had where their saves would no longer show on the selection menu making it seem like their files were deleted.
  • Added prevention check to not record a enemy's death if the player should've died in the same frame that the player would've killed the enemy.
  • Fixed Blue Flame Jet's collision size as there was a gap at the top.
  • Fixed incorrect speaker during the chrome knight intro dialogue.
  • Fixed issue allowing the player to go back into the monorail sequence that soft-locks the player in the monorail sequence. Players soft-locked in monorails should instantly teleport out to Sylva's crash site and have their monorail questline marked as completed.
  • Fixed issue that caused Chrome knight to not be re-encounterable if the player died on the same frame they defeated chrome knight.
  • Fixed issue where Chrome Knight wouldn't play defeat cutscene when clearly being defeated.
  • Fixed issue where marlowe could remain in vincent's pub after completing scrap sea.
  • Fixed issue with Aletheia being blocked by invisible collision when trying to enter Meropis.
  • Fixed various typos and incorrect speaker issues.
  • Fixed issue to prevent player from being placed on ladder first before moving to loaded save point.
  • Fixed issue causing destroyed Blue Tesla Coil icons to remain on the map.
  • Removed invisible damage collision tiles in scrap sea room 9.

Bug Fixes
  • Added collision at the top of Sylva Room 13 to prevent players from getting out of bounds, also added no respawn zones on spikes in Sylva Room 13
  • Added collision to prevent the player from getting stuck in a Red Tesla Coil hole in the black market near Jocasta's lab
  • Added No Respawn Zone triggers on spikes inside Scrap Sea room 6 to prevent a death respawn loop
  • Added No Respawn Zone triggers on spikes inside Sylva Room 19 to prevent a death respawn loop
  • Added No Respawn Zone triggers on spikes inside Sylva Room 2 to prevent a death respawn loop
  • Added spikes to prevent the player from climbing inside the Tesla coil hole in scrap sea room 3
  • Fixed camera loss issue in Sylva room 2
  • Fixed the issue that caused Jocasta's portrait to show the wrong version early on
  • Fixed issue with the Status menu not showing proper Aletheia portrait sprite at the start of the game
  • Fixed layering of corner foreground rocks in sylva
  • Fixed the left gate in Raider brute's boss encounter not staying closed. The gate will now stay closed until the player obtains the charged shot ability and proceeds through the right door and sees the interrogation cutscene
  • Fixed typo with the term "Undercroft" and fixed wrong speaker during the last boss intro dialogue

A patch for Gestalt: Steam and Cinder has been released and includes the following changes and fixes.

Bug Fixes
  • Adjusted the timing of when the Hammer gate when exiting fornax to prevent a soft locking issue.
  • Fixed collect 100k scrap achievement not triggering when obtaining scrap from selling items in the shops.
  • Fixed a soft locking bug that could occur if the player saves at the tether before the fornax fall sequence and back tracks to remove a valve and then dying and respawning back at the tether on the other side of the flame gates. Permanently locking the player in Fornax.
  • Fixed a typo in the word "Amanita" when first meeting bram in irkalla.
  • Fixed incorrect speaker during faust's dialogues in front of the conduit.
  • Fixed issue that some times caused the Monorail Main Questline to not be updated to completed. Visiting the Sylva Crashsite room will resolve the lingering Monorail Quest for those who have experienced the issue.
  • Fixed missing word "care" in Aletheia's dialogue after waking up in Sylva.
  • Fixed missing word "it" in marlowe's first dialogue encounter.
  • Fixed missing word "know" during renard's meropis dialogue.
  • Fixed typewritter pause during the balthazar and elyon interrogation cutscene in the scrap sea.
  • Fixed typo in the word "brethren" during interrogation between balthazar and elyon.
  • Fixed typo in the word "indecipherable" during marlowe's dialogue in charon's hut.
  • Fixed typo in the word "possessed" during aletheia and cassandra's dialogue in vincent's pub.
  • Fixed typo in the word "this" during balthazar's dialogue in the end game.
  • Fixed typo in the word "Threatens" in Faust's dialogue in the throne room.
  • Fixed typo in the word "your" in dialogue between balthazar and elyon.
  • Fixed typo in the word scleroma during the burning irkalla section.
  • Fixed typo of "there really is a stipend" during renard and cassandra dialogue in the black market.
  • Fixed typo of missing word "out" during marlowe's dialogue in vincent's pub.
  • Fixed wrong speaker during Faust's dialogue in the throne room.
  • Fixed wrong speaking character during Faust's dialogue in front of the Conduit.
  • Fixed missing localisation from dialogue between Renard and Aletheia.

A patch for Gestalt: Steam and Cinder has been released and includes the following changes and fixes.
  • Fixed a soft locking issue caused by talking to Eniac before talking to Marlowe in Charon's Hut when returning with Charon's Ring. Simply talking to Marlowe a second time will resolve the issue for players who've encountered this issue in their play through.
  • Fixed the Bounty Board Durandals' names not being properly localised.
  • Fixed the ordering of doors on the map for internal rooms


This patch is mainly a hot-fix patch to address a soft locking issue players have been experiencing. A few bonus fixes were also thrown into the mix.

We are working on a larger patch to come in the following week to address more minor issues players have experienced.
