[h3]Welcome to the next Animal Shelter Simulator devlog.[/h3]

We've been hard at work on the next stages of the production and there will be some cool upcoming events - more about that next time - so this time we are coming back to you in a slightly different devlog format.

[h3]So here are the biggest changes made in the last few weeks:[/h3]

[h3]Context popups[/h3]



Taking care of animals is not an easy task - the same is true of finding your footing in a new game. It's a tough nut to crack, but don't worry! That's why we have created the popup help system.

Every time you will interact with a new and important object in the game you will be greeted with a panel containing helpful information and images.

They will guide you though all the game's mechanics as well as teach you how to properly care for the pets in your shelter.



[h3]Missions[/h3]



In addition to the popups you will be able to complete missions: those will guide you throughout your journey and provide goals to strive towards.

You can also hide them if you'd like to play in a more free-form way.



[h3]Last but not least: playing with cats![/h3]



We all know how mischievous, majestic and independent cats can be. That's why we've added a lasers so the cats can burn all of that excess energy they have.

The laser is a fun item to play with our cute little creatures, who are sure to love the pursuit of the red dot.

This month we've been working on outdoor decorations: trees, bushes, parterres and other decorative elements.

As well as many small and large under-the-hood changes and quality of life gameplay improvements (that are unfortunately hard to show in video format but will be felt while playing!).

This month we have a huge update to show and it can be summed up in one word: cats!

Not only do we have better models but also many fur variations. And we will be adding even more!

Of course cats can be interacted with in similar ways as we with dogs.

But of course we haven’t forgotten about people who love dogs: over the last few weeks we’ve been adding new breeds and new fur materials!
