While you can no longer move buildings, you now have much more control over customizing your existing shelter. Change walls, ceilings, floors, and even expand some rooms to suit your needs!
👥 Other characters
Meet NPC workers and adopters who visit your shelter. This brings a new layer of interaction and managing people around you.
🤝 CO-OP mode
Yes, you heard that right! Animal Shelter 2 Prologue introduces multiplayer co-op mode, so you can run the shelter with your friends or alone!
🚑 External services
Need a special treatment for an animal? Now you can send them outside the shelter for surgeries or treatments, adding more depth to the care management system.
🗺️ 2D world map
Explore the world outside the shelter! Use the new 2D map to discover events, activities, and interventions waiting for you and your animals.
🚓 Intervention missions
Now you can personally go on rescue missions, entering different locations to help animals in need. These locations are partially procedurally generated, so each visit offers a new experience.
🐶 Puppies and kittens included
No more waiting for DLC! Puppies and kittens are available from the start in Animal Shelter 2 Prologue, ready to melt your heart.
🐕 Your own pet
You can now have a personal pet that follows you around the shelter, keeping you company as you manage your daily tasks.

The healing system is now more detailed. Some animals will require long-term treatments, while others might need specialized care outside the shelter. You may also encounter animals with chronic health issues that require ongoing management while they stay in your care.
