[h3]If you prefer not to have the holiday event impact your regular gameplay, we have great news for you! 😊

We’ve added the option to switch to a separate game branch where the event changes won’t be applied. This way, you can continue your gameplay without any holiday-related updates![/h3]

🔄 Once the event ends, you can switch back to the main game branch without losing any progress or achievements.

Below you will find instructions on how to enable this branch. 🔽

Instructions:

• Open Steam and go to your library.
  
• Right-click on Animal Shelter and select Properties.
  
• In the Beta tab, select "NoEvent" from the list of branches.
  
• Click Close and launch the game – now you will be playing on the separate branch without the event changes.
  

[h3]After the event ends, just return to the settings and select the main game branch.[/h3]

[h2]The holiday season is upon us, and just like every year, we’re keeping the Christmas Event tradition alive in our beloved Animal Shelter! This year, we’re bringing even more holiday cheer with a bunch of festive goodies and updates. Get ready to celebrate with your furry friends in style![/h2]






[h3]Event Details 🎅🎁[/h3]

Setting the mood 🥰
The most important part of the holiday makeover? SNOW, of course! ❄️ It’s snowing everywhere! So, put on your warmest coat and have a blast playing in the winter wonderland. And guess what? We’ve also updated the UI to make it extra festive, plus there’s a cheerful holiday tune playing in the background to get you in the spirit! 🎶

Holiday items 🎁
The chilly weather has brought back a long-lost friend—a penguin! 🐧 You can place him wherever you like, so make sure he has a cozy spot! Plus, we’ve got a bunch of other themed decorations: gingerbread houses, snowballs, and of course, lots and lots of candies! 🍬

Clothes for your pupils 🐶
That’s right, the festive holiday clothes are back! 🎉 Get your animals ready for the season with Santa hats 🧢, elves’ shoes 👟, and more! We can’t wait to see the fun costumes you come up with. Share your creativity with us on Discord!

Furniture 🪑
Time to decorate your shelter! Place a snowman outside ⛄, or even Santa’s sleigh 🎅 (we may have borrowed it). Plus, we’ve got some cool DLC items, like interactive snow for the Horse DLC and Vet DLC. There are also festive fence decorations for the Horse DLC!

Changes around You 💞
There’s holiday cheer all around—Christmas posters 🎄, candy sprinkled on the office sign 🍬🤤, and festive Christmas lights 💡. We’ve also added holiday wreaths on the garlands and a new festive gate ✨. Plus, there are special DLC decorations to bring even more Christmas magic to your shelters!

Event exclusive items 🤯
Don’t forget, any furniture or items you buy and place during the event will stay with you after it ends! But some things, like clothes for animals, snow, the sky change, and the gate will disappear once the event is over, so make sure to enjoy them while they’re here! 🤗



[h3]But wait, there’s more! We’ve been working hard on a patch to fix some of the most reported issues by you, our amazing community. So, alongside the Christmas Event, we’re also releasing NEW Patch! Check out the details below:[/h3]

✅ Fixed "Horse ride" achievement
✅ Fixed "Luxury stud" achievement
✅ Fixed "A trip" achievement
✅ Made the "Warehouse" popup optional for the "Know-it-all" achievement
✅ Decreased inspection timers to make "The clean guy" achievement easier
✅ Increased delay for horses running away from boxes
✅ Increased chance for claws disease
✅ Fixed issue with getting stuck while being on a leash behind the player
✅ Animals defecate more often while sick
✅ Blocked entrance to Vet Clinic from DLC
✅ Corrected pillow tooltip shown when an animal is laying on a pillow
✅ Fixed ear cleaners hologram
✅ Removed unnecessary collisions for a performance boost in some cases
✅ Removed tooltip "Medical card" when taking animal from a van
✅ Fixed issue where it sometimes teleported a horse for no reason
✅ Corrected some translations
