FAQ: What the future holds for Polygon.
Hey, Friends
You constantly ask us about future changes in Polygon, offer your ideas and give constructive criticism. Thank you, this is very valuable information for us. We see everything.

Today we want to tell you about our plans for the future, as well as answer some questions that many players are interested in regarding the current version of the game.
We will be absolutely honest with you.
| Question:
When will new weapons be added to the game?
• Answer:
This is a very popular question and we would like to answer the question in as much detail as possible:
Adding new weapons is not an easy task; to do this, we need to create a model of the weapon, find suitable sounds, adjust all the stats and check the balance of the weapon. Among other things, one of the important parts of the gunplay is high-quality and smooth animations for weapons. And just at this point we have a problem.
For a long time we have been wanting to change the model of our current character (for those who don't know, his name is Derick), but unfortunately there are even more difficulties in this. For this reason, it currently makes no sense to add new weapons to the game and make animations for the current model, then do it all again when the new character is ready.
As soon as the new character model is ready, we will add a huge variety of new weapons with high-quality animations. At the moment, we do not have a timeline for when this will happen, but I can say for sure that, unfortunately, we will need at least a few more months for this. During this time, we can add new weapons that will use animations of weapons that are currently in the game due to the similarity of the design (for example, AK-47 -> AK-74M -> AK12). But we will be able to add radically different types of weapons like the Bullpup system and others only from the moment the new character is ready. If you have the skills to create high quality 3D characters and you want to help us with this, please write to us. This will significantly speed up the process.
| Question:
When will new weapon modules be added to the game? When will a weapon silencer be added?
• Answer:
As we have already answered above, we are waiting for the new character model to be ready. This is not a quick process. For the same reason, we currently can't add some types of modules to the game, such as weapon handles, which also require new animations. We will continue to add sights and other modules that do not require animations.

Regarding the silencer for weapons: yes, this does not require animations. But that requires sounds. Below we will give a detailed explanation to the current sound system in Polygon.
| Question:
When will new maps be added to the game?
• Answer:
At the moment we are working on the current maps, namely improving lighting, optimization, balancing, bug fixing, etc. We have a definite action plan for this task. We plan to finish all the work on current maps soon, and prepare a new map by the end of 2022. If you have skills working with level design and you want to help us, please write to us. This will significantly speed up the process.
| Question:
Will vehicles be added to the game: cars, tanks, planes, helicopters, etc.?
• Answer:
We have no plans for adding vehicles to the game in the near future, because there is simply no need for it. All current maps were developed for infantry fighting. Initially, we had plans to add equipment, but we changed the direction of development and put maximum emphasis on infantry fighting. If we had added vehicles, the gameplay would have been much worse than it is now, because we would have had less time to develop and improve the current combat systems. But for the distant future we have thoughts about it. Perhaps this will happen when the game is ready for this (large maps, a variety of content, high-quality gameplay, and more). But it definitely won't happen this year or early next year.

| Question:
What are you planning to do with the levelling? At the moment, this is quite a long process and it is difficult for players to get levels to buy weapons and modules.
• Answer:
We wouldn't want the players to get all the weapons in a couple of hours of play. This is a premeditated move. Polygon is not a game in which you have the opportunity to get any weapon at the start. We also want to allow high-level players to feel their progress in the game. We also tried very hard to make sure that every weapon in the game has the same chance of winning. Of course it depends on the situation, it will be difficult for you to win at close range against the G36C with the M24 in your hands. Of course we plan to add more weapons for the initial levels in the future.

| Question:
Do you plan to add character classes like Medic, Assault, etc.?
• Answer:
At the moment we have plans to improve the importance of characters in battle. We have not yet figured out definitively how this will happen - with the help of classes or a different system, but it will definitely happen in the future.

| Question:
When will the skins for the character be added?
• Answer:
We have plans to do this in the near future.

| Question:
When will the teams have different camouflage?
• Answer:
When the new character model is finished, your enemies will no longer have the exact same textures as your allies. But this doesn't mean they will be completely different. In the future we will add character skins and customization, because of this, it will be possible for your enemy to have similar colors on their uniform. This is why we are making the systems that will help distinguish enemy from friendly, like the markers above allied players, and the red glow around enemies.

| Question:
Will armor and other equipment be added for the character?
• Answer:
We have plans for this for the future, but we can't give you more information about it yet. This answer will be updated in the future when we are ready to share with you about it.

| Question:
When will the new Battle Pass season start?
• Answer:
At the moment we are focused as much as possible on improving the gameplay: gunplay, animations, graphics and more. Most likely, the new season will not begin until mid-autumn. We will definitely notify everyone in advance about this and start the timer in the game before the end of the current season. You will have enough time to complete the season.

| Question:
Will player stats be added?
• Answer:
We plan to add simplified statistics such as player progress, number of kills, favorite weapons and more. But we cannot provide information about when this will come. In any case, this is not a priority task at the moment.

| Question:
Will parkour be added to the game?
• Answer:
We have plans to add a simplified model of parkour and vertical play, such as vaulting, using ladders and more. But it won't be like Assassin's Creed 🙂

| Question:
When will the sounds in the game be improved?
• Answer:
At the moment we are starting the process of improving and refining the sounds in the game. We may have to change the game's sound engine, which may affect some of the current sounds in the game. It is for this reason that we currently try not to add/improve sounds. This is one of the priorities for the near future.

| Question:
Will a smoke grenade be added?
• Answer:
Yes, we are planning to add a smoke grenade to the game.

| Question:
The developer is developing the game alone. Will new developers be invited to develop the game? What should I do if I want to help develop Polygon?
• Answer:
We are constantly looking for talented people who can help us develop the game. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to support a large number of developers. Already now we are trying to work with some freelancers to speed up the game development process. For example, all new models of weapons were made for us by a talented 3D artist.
Our Patrons help us a lot in financing the development, for which we thank them very much. If you feel that you can help us with the development of the game, please write to us here on Discord or send an Email. We welcome any help.
