Update #26 Multiplayer mode!

Hello VR Rockstars!

We are happy to announce that the multiplayer update is now finally available!

From now on, you can challenge your friend, or match with randomly connected players, or, if no compatible game is found, play against a bot.
Notice: Any song should work, the only requirement is that both players have it.

At the moment, if you want to play with a friend, one should create the server and the other one should enter through quick play shortly after.
We are also working on the steam invitation system, we'll include that feature in the next update.
Note: As this is a challenge mode competing for the best final score, playing together will require you to choose the same instrument before hosting or joining a game.
Also, we are aware that some of you would like to have a co-op mode too... stay tuned for that!

We are eager to know what you think of this update. We always listen to your feedback and we are convinced that it is also thanks to you that the game is getting better with each update.

Below is a brief summary of the update:
- Multiplayer VS mode:
- play the same level 1 vs 1, compete for the best score
- play any song owned by both players
- list of connected friends
- invitation requests/join support (coming soon)
- play with a bot in case of no matching
- Improvements in guitar pick movement
- Fix for pause menu triggering
- Other misc bug fixes

Stay tuned and rock hard!

Multiplayer PVP is coming!

Hi VR Rockstars!

We're thrilled to announce that we're working on a new game mode for Rocking Legend. We're talking about multiplayer PVP, which will allow you to play against other players around the world in exciting online challenges.

With the update, you'll also be able to host a friend to play against, join casual matches, and even host casual players to play with you.

And if there aren't enough players online? Don't worry! We've also implemented a bot system that will allow you to play even when there are no other people online.

We're very close to the launch of the update and we can't wait to see you in action! Keep following us for all the latest news on the update of our VR game on Steam.

Stay tuned, VR Rockstars!

Update #25 Playability improvements

Hello, VR rockstars!

We were currently working on a bigger update, but it's taking a little longer than expected and we finally decided to split it up and release part of it today.

This update brings some changes to improve the playability, especially for the guitar modes.
To increase the readability of the charts, notes will appear on a sloped plaform with some new destroyers, allowing players to see the moment they need to play the notes more clearly.

We also reworked the hand position indicator

As for drums mode, we added an option to have 'sticky' or 'togglable' grip for drumsticks:

As requested by some users, especially for drums mode, we also added a new volume slider for those who would like to hear the sound of their instrument above the music track.

In addition to the reported changes, a lot of work has also been done on some background codebase changes, which will be part of the next update, which we will hopefully reveal soon.

Brief summary of the main changes:
- New note destroyers for guitar modes
- Better hand position indicator
- Sloped platform to improve notes readability
- Player instrument volume in the audio settings
- Drumstick grab mode settings
- Latency improvements
- Engine upgrade and performance improvements
- Bug fixes

Stay tuned for the next update!

Update #24 Steam achievements!

Hello, VR rockstars!

Here we are, with a new update!

The game is now integrated with steam achievements and have a list of 25 achievements to discover and unlock

Lot of changes and additions went to add some polish to the game, such as the rework of menu settings:

You won't find misterious buttons or sliders in the UI anymore. Instead you can now open the new settings menu almost everywhere in the game and you'll find all of the settings organized in tabs.
It should be more intuitive for you and we can also add new settings without cluttering the menus.

We also updated the game scenes to make them more dynamic and rich, with some rework on the dynamic lasers and lights, with more animated props and also some rewarding fireworks if you complete the level!

We hope you'll enjoy the update!

Brief summary of the main changes:
- Steam achievements
- Settings menu rework
- Bloom can be toggled in settings
- Song list only shows songs for current instrument
- Dynamic lasers and lights animation improvements
- Improvements for game scenes (airships, fireworks)
- Better clarity for song notes in game
- Background music in menu scene
- Faster menu scene loading

As always, stay tuned for the next update!

UPDATE #23 Physical guitar tracking!

Hello, VR rockstars!

If you own a guitar-shaped controller, you can now use one of the VR controllers to track the controller position!

Just click on the "tracking" button in the model selection menu:

Follow the tutorial on attaching the VR controller and calibrating to have your guitar position and orientation tracked in-game.

Other changes are made to improve the drums experience, such as togglable grab for drumsticks while using Vive controllers, better drums collision detection, and feedback improvements to animation, vibration, and sounds.
You can also throw the drumsticks!

We also worked to improve the audio quality in-game and to have a better volume balance with the menu, and song preview volume can also be changed in the settings menu as requested.

Last but not least, we made another round of bug fixes. We also started to release small patches between the main updates, hoping to squash them all out before the final release.

- Throwable drumsticks
- Better drums collision detection and feedback
