The Divine Rite: 1.1 Update 🪄


[h2]Blightbound's 1.1 update is now live! [/h2]

[h3]New Offline Mode[/h3]
The Divine Rite update brings an offline mode that allows players to play the game without internet access. On consoles, players are able to play without a premium subscription!

[h3]New Hero - Seer Rook[/h3]
Find and recruit the mysterious priest, impose his unique passive ability onto unsuspecting foes as you repeatedly blast blighted monstrosities away with the Unleash Spirits skill while trapping dangers with the Spirit Coffin skill.


[h3]New Content[/h3]
The threat of Blightrifts have also been expanded! Battle through The Rift of Wardens where you must defeat numerous bosses, The Rift of a Thousand Stabs you can easily be overwhelmed if you don't control where your enemies come from, and The Rift of Speed where you will face an incredible horde if you fail to defeat your enemies quickly!

Also new to the 1.1 update are a score of new items, AI improvements, quality of life changes, bug fixes, and much more.

Even though we extensively tested the 1.1 build internally, there might still be some bugs which fell through our testing, please report them in the tech support forums and we'll try to include fixes in Hotfix 1.1.1 which we plan to push live by the end of next week!

1.0.2 Is LIVE! + Info For 1.0.3 & 1.1 🧰



1.0.2 Patch Notes Highlights
  • Fixed a bug where players would crash during or after the Byrinth boss fight.
  • Bots are now more proactive when it comes to reviving teammates
  • Fixed that puzzle hints could look different for party members on another platform
  • Fixed an issue where bots thought they could only use ultimate at 100 ultimate charge instead of their maximum charge (this also fixes an issue where bots with 150 max ultimate would idle about, and bots with 150 max ultimate would never use their ultimate)
  • Fixed that the reward for playing as random favorite hero wasn't functional
  • Fixed that Korrus couldn't be selected in the first-time hero select screen

1.0.3 Hotfix & 1.1 Update
We have already started working on new content for 1.1 which will include offline mode, a new hero, new items, and more. We have not yet decided if we want to release a 1.0.3 hotfix yet, we already have a few fixes queued up internally but we would much rather spend the resources on working on 1.1 instead of isolating, preparing, and testing a 1.0.3 build. However, we will evaluate the state of 1.0.2 at the end of this week and if we feel like 1.0.2 does not have the stability and smoothness we are happy with, then we will work on a 1.0.3 build and target to release it at the end of next week.

Temporary Version Number Discrepancies During Updates
We try to align updates on different platforms and in different regions to the best of our abilities so there’s little or no discrepancy between version numbers on different platforms. But sometimes, a new patch might go live sooner on one platform than on another platform or sooner in one region compared to another, which will result in crossplay not functioning as intended. This pretty much solely depends on the approval process and time per platform, which varies depending on each platform. These issues only last for hours, maximum a day, but we will try our best to minimise them to the best of our abilities in future.

1.0.1 Is Live! + Plan For 1.0.2 🛠️



1.0.1 Patch Notes
  • Fixed crossplay between PC and consoles
  • Fixed tutorial crashes
  • Fixed bots not understanding the puzzle in Dark Ritual

  • Included improvements that should have been improvements in 1.0
  • General optimisation improvements
  • General crash fixes


1.0.1 Other Improvements
Due to a prior communication error, many of the improvements, changes, and fixes that were supposed to be included in 1.0 were left in an internal build. These changes have also been included in the 1.0.1 patch. The most noticeable differences should be improvements to AI and general gameplay optimisation. For the full 1.0 patch notes, click here.

Potential Delay on Xbox
As of writing this announcement, the Xbox patch has not yet been approved. There is a chance that the patch will be approved before the end of today (Friday) but there is also a chance that the patch is only approved early next week. Our producer will keep an eye out on the status of approval today and over the weekend and push the patch live on Xbox as soon as it is approved. In the meantime, we felt it would be best to push the patch live on PC and PS4 so players can already play with the improvements that have been implemented. This unfortunately means that until the patch on Xbox is approved and pushed live, the game version on Xbox is different to the version on PC and PS4, so crossplay matchmaking will not work on Xbox until the patch is live. Fingers crossed the patch on Xbox is live later today!

1.0.2 Patch/Hotfix
For our next patch/hotfix, we aim for it to be live on all 3 platforms before the end of next week. We already started working on fixes coming in for 1.0.2 this Tuesday and we hope to submit a patch for approval mid next week. The following highlights have already been implemented and will be included in the patch next week.
  • Fixed various situations where bots would become passive
  • Fixed the issue where the Bestiary would reset every time you start the game
  • Fixed the issue where the mage cannot be selected for the first mission after the tutorial
  • 'Play as random favourite' class token rewards will always give the token bonuses when playing as random favourite
  • Hero stats panel will also be available on PS4
  • Text scale slider will support up to 150%
  • Class tokens are now awarded to all local players
  • The 'New Quest' popup no longer shows every time you move into a new room


Bugs & Crashes
We did extensive internal testing for the 1.0.1 build but it could be that some bugs and crashes have slipped through our tests. We would really appreciate it if you could inform us of your bugs and crashes in the tech support / bugs forums on Steam or the #support-and-bugs channel on the Ronimo Discord. We really appreciate your words of encouragement and you taking the time to help us improve Blightbound!

Thanks to everyone who has posted feedback, suggestions, bugs, crash reports, etc. We are slowly working through everything submitted on all our platforms (Steam, reddit, emails, reviews, etc). So if we haven't responded to your message(s) yet, we're not ignoring you, there's just A LOT to get through! Much appreciated and keep them coming!

Small update: We've been working hard on fixing specific and general issues, we had an internal playtest this afternoon to test different builds with different degrees of fixes. They playtest had mixed results where some prominent issues were fixed but the fixes created other unforeseen issues. We'll keep working at it and keep you updated!

We are still aiming to push a patch live before the end of this week.
