Launch Weekend Update

Hey everyone,

I hope you've had a good week. Launch week has not been what we expected with the bugs and crashes that slipped through QA and still remain in the live game. Nonetheless, we have been working incredibly hard to fix these issues. We have made good progress but we have not been able to fix all the issues we would like to. We finished testing a build in the afternoon on Friday but we were not happy with the stability of that build so decided against patching the PC version of the game today.

We aim to finalise a hotfix build early next week, go through QA, then publish the build before the end of next week. The main fixes in the hotfix next week should address:

- Crossplay between PC and consoles
- Crashes experienced in the tutorial (If you are experiencing tutorial crashes, a band-aid solution would be to temporarily skip the tutorial)
- Not being able to select the Mage for the first mission
- Bots not understanding the puzzle in the Dark Ritual level

Other issues that are not listed above will also be addressed.

We have also decided to push the Fancy Flamingo skin back one week so it will be available to claim and keep on Steam NEXT weekend.

Have a good weekend!

D&D-style couch co-op dungeon crawler Blightbound has left Early Access

Blightbound has been hacking and slashing its way through Steam Early Access for more than a year, and today it has emerged, bloody greatsword in hand. The stylish fantasy co-op game has received its long-awaited 1.0 update, which means it's ready to spend some level up points.

Blightbound is designed to be a co-op game, and it's great in drop-in/drop-out local play or online. But playing with others isn't always feasible, and the 1.0 update adds a dedicated 'play with bots' option so you can always fill out your party before venturing forth into the blight-infested wastelands. The bots aren't super clever, but they know enough to dish out damage to enemies, and that's a huge help in some of Blightbound's crowded combat arenas where it's easy to get overwhelmed on your own.

However, there's also been a big round of bugfixes applied in this latest update, as well as a hefty list of improvements, tweaks, and balance adjustments. Bots are a bit better about stepping on the correct pressure plate, for instance (although they'll still sometimes make switch puzzles harder than they have to be), and their behaviour around specific kinds of obstacles has been improved.

Claim Cyber Set Before Monday 26th July! 🛡️

Blightbound’s 1.0 release is just around the corner! For everyone who supported us during early access, we would like to show a token of our gratitude by giving away some Blightbound cosmetic items!

Until Monday around 10am PT, you can claim and keep the Cyber Set cosmetics, the weapon cosmetics for the Warrior class in Blightbound. The in-game cosmetic items only affect the visual appearance of the weapons you have equipped, they do not have any perks of their own, neither do they override the perks of the weapons you have equipped to your Warriors.

So throw on your holo lenses, jump on your hover bike, and claim the Cyber Set cosmetics here! You must own Blightbound to be able to claim any of its cosmetics.

Once you click download, the game should launch and you should already have claimed the cosmetic. To double check, click on any Warrior in the refuge, then go to the "Cosmetics" tab, you should be able to toggle the cosmetics that you own on and off in that tab.

If you happen to be reading this after Monday 26th July and fear that you missed out, not to worry, you will still be able to redeem the Cyber Set on the Ronimo Games Twitch Channel for 9,000 Roni Points, this does not cost any money but requires you to tune in to our bi-weekly dev streams.

Claim Bolt Blades Before Monday 19th July! 🗡️🗡️

Only 12 more days left until Blightbound’s full release on 27th July 2021! As part of our efforts to give back to our amazing community who have supported us through early access, we are giving away a cosmetic item every weekend leading up to launch weekend.

This weekend, right now in fact, you can download and keep the Bolt Blades cosmetics! The Bolt Blades are weapon cosmetics for the Assassin class in Blightbound. These cosmetics only affect the visual appearance of the weapons you have equipped, they do not have any perks of their own, neither do they override the perks of the weapons you have equipped to your Assassins.

So grab these electrified daggers, shock your enemies, and claim the Bolt Blades cosmetics here!

Once you click download, the game should launch and you should already have claimed the cosmetic. To double check, click on any Assassin in the refuge, then go to the "Cosmetics" tab, you should be able to toggle the cosmetics that you own on and off in that tab.

If you happen to be reading this on Monday 19th July and fear that you missed out, not to worry, you will still be able to redeem the Bolt Blades on the Ronimo Games Twitch Channel for 4,000 Roni Points, this does not cost any money but requires you to tune in to our bi-weekly dev streams.
