Together in Battle News

A new demo!

Hey folks! There's a brand-new demo out for Together in Battle as part of Steam's "Going Rogue" festival. Download it from the Together in Battle store page right here!

Have fun, and please make sure to spread the word. Recommending the game to Youtubers and streamers you enjoy would be especially appreciated. :)

Telepath Tactics Liberated will be coming out first!

Hello, friends! I've decided to push back the Early Access release of Together in Battle until later in 2022 so that I can get out a remake of its predecessor title: Telepath Tactics.

Telepath Tactics Liberated is a ground-up remake of Telepath Tactics using the Together in Battle engine. Featuring improved UI, 3D terrain, nicer graphics, better AI, dozens of new skills, new items, rebalanced maps, improved mechanics, branching promotion options, and even some proc gen weapons and characters, Telepath Tactics Liberated is the game Telepath Tactics was always meant to be...and a more fitting lead-in to Together in Battle.

Since the events of Telepath Tactics Liberated immediately precede the events of Together in Battle, it makes narrative sense to get Telepath Tactics Liberated out first--and because these games share an engine, all the work I'm doing to get to get Telepath Tactics Liberated ready to ship will directly benefit Together in Battle when it launches.

Have patience--the wait will be worth it! But in the meantime: why not go wishlist Telepath Tactics Liberated? ;)

Together in Battle Livestream!

Come watch Together in Battle, the SRPG roguelite with deep procedurally generated characters, as the developer plays through the game and talks about its inner workings! The livestream will be happening on Youtube tonight at 7:00 PM Central Daylight Time.

Campaign creation suite livestream!

Tonight at 9:15 PM Central Time, I am going to livestream an overview of the Together in Battle campaign creation suite!

For those of you who remember Telepath Tactics, where everything was moddable and the game came with a professional map editor...well, this new campaign creation suite just positively blows it out of the water!

The new campaign creation suite lets you build your own full-fledged SRPG campaigns with ease, with predictive text fields and built-in randomizers for terrain and character generation. Build characters (and their portraits) in the character creator; place them in cut scenes using the cut scene editor; add branching dialogue trees using the dialogue editor; sculpt battlefields and place armies in the map editor; create skills for your characters to learn in the skill editor, and items for them to loot in the item editor; and all without even once closing the game!

Head on over to Youtube to catch it at 9:15 PM Central Time. Be sure not to miss it!

EDIT: Due to some sound mixing issues, I remade the video in higher quality. Check it out here if you missed the original stream! [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQdfTUb7y5M

Fire Emblem meets The Sims?

There has never been a game quite like Together in Battle; a seamless mix of turn-based tactics, time management, team management, and social simulation with an endless array of characters bursting with personality!

Every character in the game is procedurally generated with their own strengths, weaknesses, personalities, backgrounds, hobbies, and dialogue. Help them navigate random events, keep their morale up, and guide them to victory in tactical team-based battles in (and out) of the gladiatorial arena.

This demo is a dramatically shortened version of the full game with a set group of 12 starting recruits to choose from. The full game, by contrast, will feature different characters every time from the start; dozens more battles, side quests, and random events; customizable difficulty; and more!

Once you've played through the short demo campaign, feel free to play with the full-featured campaign editor included in this demo. Want to recreate your favorite SRPG campaign? Want to create something completely new? Go for it! It's all supported. The only real limit is your imagination.
