🎉 No Plan B is out now! 🎉
Today is the day!
After spending 2 years on development, my squad-based tactical game No Plan B is available on Steam in Early Access!

No Plan B is a gripping tactical game with no room for failure that offers roguelike campaigns, standalone skirmishes, randomly generated challenges and community-made missions.

I myself love a good challenge and I hope you'll enjoy the tactical planning (and loads of door-kicking!) you'll find in this day1 build:
 • 4 playable factions (SWAT, FBI, Robbers and Gangsters)
 • 23 weapons (assault rifles, sub-machine guns, shotguns, handguns and sniper rifles)
 • 3 types of grenade (frag, stun and smoke)
 • 18 different scenarios/mission types
 • 12 campaign chapters (~10 missions per chapter)
 • 36 skirmish missions
 • Daily, weekly and monthly challenge missions for each faction
 • Random mission generators (1 for each scenario)
 • An intuitive mission editor + already more than 20 community missions
 • A full-fledged tutorial

Here's what you can expect in the upcoming updates:
 • New map biomes
 • New scenarios
 • New weapons, grenades and equipment
 • Weapon attachments
 • New game mechanics
 • New campaign perks
 • New character skills
 • New game modes

I'm using the early access model because your opinion and feedback matters A LOT to me, so don't hesitate to leave a review (positive or negative) (kidding, only positive), a message on the forums or join the official discord.

I can't wait to see what you think about the game, watch your epic replays and test your custom missions! :D

Early Access launch date announced!
No Plan B will launch on Steam Early Access on DECEMBER 1ST, 2021!
For the occasion, I've recorded a commented gameplay video explaining the core concepts of the game and giving you a glimpse at what to expect from the early access version:

There's even a french version if you speak baguette de fromage.

I'm sure you have a lot of questions about this whole early access thing. Well, don't fret, I have some answers for you...
Why Early Access?
The main goal of Early Access is to involve the Steam community in the development process and get their feedback and suggestions for the game.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
It is expected to last around 12 months depending on player feedback and the amount of content that will be added.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The Early Access version already has all of the base game mechanics implemented and balanced in a polished state and free from major bugs.

It includes:
- Tutorial missions
- 4 factions (SWAT, FBI, Robbers and Gangsters)
- 4 types of mission
- 5 types of weapon (23 weapons in total)
- 3 types of grenade
- Mission editor + community made missions

For each of the 4 factions:
- 3 campaign chapters (30 missions in total)
- 9 skirmish missions
- daily, weekly and monthly challenge missions
- 4 random mission generators (1 for each type of mission)
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The plan is to tweak the existing game mechanics if necessary and add more content:
- New game modes
- New game mechanics
- New types of mission
- New map biomes
- New campaign perks
- New character skills
- New weapons, grenades and equipment
- Weapon attachments
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
The price will not change when the game leaves Early Access.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
I will be giving regular updates on the development process and actively listening to player feedback before and after each update.
The official Discord server will be the main communication channel but I'll also monitor the Steam forums.
I have another question!
Let's post it in the comments below!
What to do in the meantime?
You can try the free demo available on the Steam page, talk about it with your friends, share it on your favorite internet places and most importantly, you know the drill:

No Plan B public playtest this weekend

As I announced earlier, a public playtest of No Plan B will take place this week-end, from Friday 6th 7pm CEST to Sunday 8th 7pm CEST.

This playtest will focus on the campaign mode I've been working on recently.
You will be able to give your feedback using a dedicated form. Of course, you can also join the discord or write a post on the forum.

It's still time to register: go to the store page and hit the "Request Access" button as shown below. Also, adding the game to your wishlist won't hurt ;)

NB: sorry for the few invitations that were sent by mistake too early, the error you get when trying to install the game is completely normal, you will be able to do so when the playtest starts ;)

Public playtest coming soon!

I'm going to host a public playtest of the No Plan B soon, probably a week-end in August.
The playtest version will have more content than the prologue and will focus on a specific feature of the game, most likely the campaign which I've been working on recently.

To register, go to the store page and hit the "Request Access" button as shown below. Also, adding the game to your wishlist won't hurt ;)
